I'm cautiously optimistic about Starmer. Please deliver an ambitious programme because if you don't, I really fear for the country's short-to medium-term future. We're not going back to the Tories, but the vacuum will be filled by something scary. Heavy is the burden on your shoulders, Labour. Step up to the challenge like the Democrats have in America. Don't waste time with constitutional reform or anything that isn't going to improve the economy, at least not in the first term. Focus on the economy, healthcare (NHS, mental health) and the military.
Indeed some have predicted if Labour are too similar to Tories on policy the Tories and Reform UK could be back and more popular come 2029. The pledges are too vague, he's played it safe to stop criticism let's hope this ends and the manifesto is at least as good as soft left Miliband to inspire positive change, we don't want more austerity.
The fact he's kicked out Jeremy Corbyn and Diana Abbot which even Blair didn't do has worried many that he is too controlling and too afraid of being a little bit socialist, is it just for show to stop the Conservative attacks?
Contrary to what Sunak says Labour do have plans and ambitions but they won’t know the full extent of the financial damage the Tories have done until they are elected. Hence the cautious first steps for the most crucial actions to stabilise the economy.
Stupidly Sunak thinks offering more of the same will win him votes, the man is living on another planet! Think of everything in your daily life that is worse than it was in 2010 and ask yourself can you afford 5 more years of the Tories?
Then vote Labour🌹you know it makes sense, everyone of the shadow cabinet knows the facts about their department and has plans to make improvements, the Tories are frantically trying to prevent this by fair means or foul. Don’t fall for the Tory propaganda, hold your head high and vote for the party that will change your life for the better - Vote Labour 🌹
