And finally, we're done with Rush's HERO Decks for now. It's actually funny that we've seen all the HERO variants that came out of the Structure: Pure, Skysavior, and Music Princess. Music Princess's case is funny since it's a Deck that has trouble working on its own, but works wonders if it's paired with some accomplice to complement it. First, it was Dragias, then it was Rush's Gaia, and now it's Rush's HERO. Music Princess's Fusion package is pretty strong, but it forces you to carry a couple of mediocre Boss Monsters (at least its Effect Monsters have been improving over the months) That being said, Music Princess was fortunate to receive a Contact Fusion Monster, a good one since it helps with strategy. Likewise, having two Miracle Fusions (the OG and Music Princess's Dance) can be somewhat beneficial and somewhat unfair when she spams Fusion Monsters at you. However, Rush's HERO has become even stronger with the recent support, as from what I've seen, that it no longer needs Music Princess to succeed on its own.
Music Princess should also be coming to Duel Links soon (assuming we're going by the anime timeline / physical release timeline) which could be interesting.
Okay, I might be the only here to get a delight in seeing Tomato's frustration in facing Alex who took the chance to play a variant of HERO deck. Considering that Tomato swept 3 consecutive wins the last several weeks by using the HERO deck, it was pretty cathartic to see Alex got the win here by using the the deck that had swept him under the rug weeks before. Tha aside, I already knew Tomato would have a hard time this week when you decided to play Beast Gear once again. I mean... The deck wasn't that unplayable compared to other decks but I think brunosanto had explained it well and you did experienced it during gameplay. The deck basically lost half of its firepower without the new Field Spell active. Not to mention, Beast Gear in general doesn't have a clear game plan or winning condition outside of going Aggro or swarming the field. Compared that to Alex's Gakki HERO deck. Yes, Alex's deck was heavylifted by the inclusion of Dance and Miracle Fusion but the big Fusion monsters could do so many good things like removing your S/T with Burstwingman and FullOrchestra, or even Trap Immunity and Piercing with Divinebreath. With Alex adding some meta cards like Cosmos Jest into the mix, it's not hard to see you had the rough matchup this week. I don't think could even hold the candle currently with the ever evolving meta and, while the new Field Spell gave some new layer to the deck, the deck needs more wincon, additional strategy, or more influential cards. Cards that can add back the Field Spell, summoning more monsters other than Shiba doing the heavy lifting, destructive cards exclusive for Beast Gear, snd better Spell/Traps would do wonders for the deck. I think I don't need to say much regarding Alex's deck because, yes, combining Gakki and Hero into a single deck was actually a brilliant idea and a solid deck to play. The deck still had problems with the heavy reliant on Vanillas, correct millings, etc. but it was way better of a deck compared to Beast Gear. Still, big congrats for Alex to snatch a clutch victory of the month here! Knowing how expansive the new Dark Matter pack later, I can't wait to see you two tackle the Duel there. Still, I'm still excited if we still get several episode of the HERO deck because that deck was just a blast to see and play around with.
It can be hard to decide which decks to bring without just bringing the same handful of decks each time. Beast Gear was a deck that never really got it's time in the spotlight so I just thought we'd try it out. I didn't want to just bring Jinzo, Gaia, Reptiles, Cyber Dragons, Spellcasters or Magnets again as I feel I've played all of those decks quite a lot recently.
@@Tomatosaurs Yeah no problem, Tomato. It's quite a daunting task to actually pick and choose a deck that you wanted to play due to the ever growing size of the cards in Rush Duel. I think you made a good point here that you have quite played some of the decks that you mentioned here quite a lot recently. Yes, Spellcasters do have some variants of decks, like Celeb Rose, Sevens Road, Witch Fusion, Black magician, etc. but it would be a disservice to see another matchup with Spellcasters once again. And don't even mention Machine Deck because that deck has the most diverse options and types of decks that you can play, the Jointech, Cydra, Jinzo, Magnum OverRoad, etc. So, it was a good thing that you brought Beast Gear here and I kinda missed and almost forgot that deck recently. I do wish it had been pitted with Alex's Volcalize deck last week so we can see how Beast Gear could face Maximums and it would be a more interesting matchup between Skysavior HERO and Gakki HERO. But, oh well, I still love the matchups that we got here and it was still thoroughly enjoyable to watch.
If we were to receive modern Beast Gear cards, the Deck would be somewhat oppressive as it would have easy ways to deal with Maximum Monsters or have fields full of Boss Monsters. However, this would be the only time that Beast Gear has a chance to shine on its own (it hasn't done so in the actual Rush Duels format)
@@brunosanto3488 It seems so easy to have simply included a skill that locks you into Beast-Warriors but lets you start with BGW in play or shuffle 2-3 copies into the deck. This could have been done at launch and being a decent anti-meta deck...
On the other hand, let's talk about Beast Gear (or Beast-Warrior Deck in general) I'd say that the Deck has fallen out of favor and won't be able to recover until it receives a massive update. It's funny that a Deck that is known to be a Rush's Team favorite ends up like this (but Konami has other plans) Beast Gear needs ways to reuse and recover its Field Spells from the GY, as well as more useful Low Level Effect Monsters. Heartless Hound needs better ways to set up the GY and more Effect Monsters (they can't rely on Normal Monsters anymore) Ironically, the new pack just gave us Heartless Hound Martial Master Praime Shiba, a Praime Monster that works more on Beast Gear than on Decks like Praime and Heartless Hound (to work with Praime, it first needs Field Spells that Praime has in the Anime). So, it's a small, but useful, improvement. PS: Speaking of the recent pack, Dark Matter just got a ton of buffs. Contact Fusion was what the Deck needed to be viable and a threat (especially when combined with Voidvelgr). PS2: Limit Jest of the Cosmos Princess, Konami! The Spell Card is too strong that it makes mediocre or bad Decks able to take on powerful Decks without problems.
I really Want Tiger as a character in duel links but they already skip her since she appears first then Asana so the next Character is probably Yuo or the good Otes since the next arc is the tournament Arc well they probably skip it and head straight to season 2 the Goha siblings Arc there still hope for Tiger since Sherry got added after 5Ds Story ended🤔

At this point we may have fusions in RDL but still missing the rest of the Beast Gear cards 😅
