Main reason we cut logs and split it is because of the waste from all the cuts. Depending on the saw, each cut turns about 3/8" of wood into chips. Say you've got a 8' log and you're going to do 2" cookies. That's 40 cuts with a 15" loss. The math is rough, but I think it comes out to a 1/6th cord loss per cord cut all into sawdust.
I have the same saw but it’s setup for cutting firewood. The 5200 performance intake (available on eBay) with a 372 carb really ups the rpm. I bet it would work well with your setup too.
Cuts a lot faster on nitro! Seems like it could use a little more fuel volume, but she runs with more speed. Also I agree with the wood processing! Why wast time splitting if yoiu don't have too? Seems smarter to leave it round so it will burn longer as well.
If you have some old Apple crates or bins like that storing the cookies for firewood would be really easy. Just fill em up and move them to the building with the tractor when you need them.
Waste. But if you've got plenty of wood and don't mind all the chips, you're golden. I'm planning on using totes when I start cutting in NY. All my cookies will go into totes haphazardly.

Also if doing 2 inch cookies opposed to 16 inch logs you would burn 8 times the amount of fuel along with 8 times more wear and tear on your gear.
I’m imagining an 8” log. Noodle one cut down the center and make 4” cookies. Basically produce 4x4 cookies.
I’m considering time and energy mostly. I think I could cut more per hour than I can split.

Love your R&D Smitty!!
👍👍 its faster on nitro.
Maybe try an experiment on a 14” dry spit round and cookie and see if there is a burn difference.
You need to consider going to a larger diameter fuel line because you're asking a lot of flow out of a little bitty hole

dries faster when split
I've burned cookies but they burn too fast. I think its a fast little saw no matter what fuel your using!
Hot knife through butter.... You should call that the "The butter knife" lol
Needs more work
What saw is that a zenoah clone?
