@@AWGEplaza Bro I made this comment before Push Ups dropped, things changed greatly since, Drake thought everything out really well and currently has the lead in this beef, respect
Dumb comment. It's like saying you shouldn't stop gangbanging because you found it you see now see point to it. Calling him soft is childish. It takes real man to correct course when he feels like he's taken the wrong path. Your disappointment is a personal issue. It has nothing with what you think is Hip Hop, which you have no place to define anyway.
Him apologizing for publicizing the song that took a lot of effort and courage from him, goes to show you that he’s letting you know he’s not the #1 in the big 3. And I know he was hearing the media, seeing how the poles were 70% Kendrick’s “VERSE” meanwhile 30% chose Cole’s diss track. Numbers don’t lie
Cole doing this is like if in a alternate universe where 2pac made “Hit ‘em up” where he’s talking his shit and then days later apologies to biggie and the whole bad boy records for making the diss or like if in a alternate universe where Pusha T made “The story of Adidon” where he’s exposes the fuck outta Drake and then days later apologises to Drake about making the diss
Listen to Might Delete Later if you think he's been "authentic" For the last fews years he's been selling people non spiritual music but it's only when it affects him is when he sees a problem.
Zesty Drake gave him some of that lightskinned energy. All jokes aside l actually am very disappointed. I don't think l will actually ever look at him the same or listen to his music the same. But l guess at the end of day it doesn't really matter who's music do l enjoy better Jermaine's. So lma keep vibing either way. The crazy thing is Lamar is way out of his relevancy this shouldn't be happening. But ayy Kendrick got the better of him. To me the beef doesn't really matter because at the end of the day l still prefer Cole's music but eh it's subjective. I might be crazy but l still think his the better rapper because l enjoy his music better. Tbh Kendrick can rap crazy but his bars aren't really that deep. His overrated his hyped up too much by the critics and the media.
I'm agree with you that Hip-Hop is a sport, and also, another thing is that I also agree with you that we not expecting bloodshed (some of us ain't that type of people), plus, sometimes there no rules in Hip-Hop beef, as long you not hurting nor talking about people's kids, all its matters. Sh!t, at least some of the female rappers talk sh!t each other on records, instead of try to be friends. Also, the other reason why J. Cole is being soft like that is because that hip-hop beef is not his thing. Plus, like you said he more that humble type of guy.
The last big hip hop beef we had was 3 years ago when Drake and Kanye were beefing around the time both of them are about to drop their long awaited albums, even though they are still not on good terms to this day, both of them had multiple back and forths and subliminals in their songs all that year. This could have matched the Drake and Kanye beef but nope, J. Cole had to fold against Kendrick
As in African-American, I’m proud of J. Cole for not perpetuating a very negative stereotype that is placed on black men in general they’re both successful, and very rich they should not diss each other drill music and that type of behavior is killing a lot of African-American youth, and they need to set a better example for the young black man who face challenges every day you could never understand💯😘
The zoom in when A said "You Soft For That Bro" 😂😂. He really means it. But yeah being a pacifist is ok if it comes down to something serious. But it was NEVER that deep to begin with. The people just wanted friendly conversation amongst people who think they're the best rapper. Which YOU be claiming to be 😂. So don't back out now.
I agree it’s disappointing but i feel like the only reason he would do this is cuz its not just about bars and sport I think it’s probably some shit behind the scenes and cole don’t want it to escalate or be part of it
this situation is just depressing as a cole fan, coles entire branding since the off-season dropped was this whole "im the best rapper any rapper who wants smoke with me gon get it" attitude, but now that kendrick is actually coming at him cole pussied out and tried to be the bigger man. i just dont understand if cole rly felt this way why did he spend the whole decade saying hes the best. woulda had way more respect for cole if he just didnt respond. cant even listen to the off-season the same anymore. (plus might delete later was mid)
also cole saying he felt like himself 10 years ago like it was a bad thing is hilarious to me like bro literally dropped his best album in 2014 idk why hes acting like hes better now
Unpopular opinion: I don’t think just because you’re a rapper you’re “supposed” to engage in the Rap beef. There were a lot of things that were normalized back in the day in hip-hop culture that we don’t really accept anymore, or care about anymore, or have accepted different methods. So if someone doesn’t want to respond in a rap beef, I don’t think Cole should be judged for that (especially in this instance, when it just came unprovoked (to my knowledge)).
Yeah if you're not claiming to be the best okay maybe don't respond. But if your claiming to be #1 and you get challenged by someone else who claims to be #1 you kinda do have to respond. Especially if their is a debate. He can't be on that tip for the last year and then be like it doesn't align with me. He literally said multiple times he'd go toe to toe with any rapper.
@@MarcosCernaG you can be a better rapper and lose especially if someone know inside info about you that alone is enough to win especially if its shocking like being gay. rap is homophobic

I'm 50/50 on it cause i get what j cole saying and i respect it but at the same time for the last 5-6 years he's been showing us whether it was solo tracks or features that he can body anybody and now that someone has actually challenged his abilities he's backing off? crazy man all i gotta say is if Kdot responds it’s career over for Cole he’s in the grave 😂 I honestly expected a lot better from Cole thought this was gonna be a 2020s version of Nas Vs Hov minus all the personal shit
Nah yall got it all wrong, Cole isn't soft for pulling out of the beef, he's just correcting the mistake of stepping in in the first place, which is hella respectful and takes guts, he's being real. (Also the diss was just bad and feels straight up fake, it's just feels bad to listen to cuz the best thing about Cole is that he's real and honest, another reason why I'm glad he took it back, to me, he earned back the respect he lost when he dropped this) First we need to acknowledge that "Like That" is 99.99% a drake diss and 0.01% a Cole diss, that's not worth a response, at best, the Cole diss in "Like That" is "can't believe you're fucking with this clown (Drake)", that's it, but Cole knows that him being on FPS is half of the reason Kendrick is dissing Drake. So, add the pressure peers (definitely Drake cuz he's scared to respond) and the internet put on Cole, add the "survivor's guilt" Cole felt from being on FPS but barely getting dissed, add the silence from Drake that only gave Cole more of a reason to feel like he needs to respond (when he doesn't) and the result is this half assed diss that did not come from Cole himself but merely as a favor to Drake and others who told him he should respond. Cole knew and still knows this beef is strictly between Kenny and Drake, by stepping in he's disrespecting the beef and Kendrick's diss towards Drake because it pulls the spotlight away from Drake which was Kendrick's only target, that was his mistake, because the beef isn't personal for him he's not gonna be authentic on the track, before 7MD dropped I hoped Cole would be mature enough to see that it isn't his business and I'm glad he corrected this mistake of stepping in, the real clown in this situation is Drake, he's pretty much the only who got dissed but he's staying silent which put pressure on Cole and I have no doubt in my mind Drake convinced Cole to drop this diss so he can respond "for him", now people are clowning Cole for correcting a genuine mistake when they should be clowning Drake for being the real coward, like I said before, it took the spotlight away from Drake which is who this beef **really** involves.
