I’m so glad you are a watch channel not hating on Invicta like all the others I just got the Hydromax Automatic NH34 GMT like yours and I love it I hope your channel succeeds and grows as you’ve got great presence and interesting content All the best good sir
I've got three of these, two quartz and one automatic meteorite dial...I like the automatic one, but when you come to do a battery change on the quartz versions, you will be surprised at the amount of space inside the watch. The quartz movement is tiny compared to the void inside the watch. I don't believe that the escape valve serves any function at all, and is just a gimmick. The bracelet is made from folded links also and not solid links, although it appears to be at first glance. Still a fun watch to wear though. Good review of a chunky watch, not to be taken seriously. I love Invictas by the way.....
Yes, I am under no illusion how silly the quartz movement will look, but hopefully being impressed by the surrounding 'superstructure' holding it in place will make up for it! Hahaha
Oh snag, didn't know they made an automatic version of the GMT version. I bought the quartz a few year back. Just for fun because it's so over the top, it's just cool..
Different strokes and all that. I couldn't wear quite a few watches doing the rounds that others seem to love. Beauty is on the wrist of the beholder 😈
@@wristopia4101 very true, I know there are lots of things that I think look good or that r cool and other people see me and r like what is wrong with that poor guy is he blind.
I have a Hydromax Reserve (Ronda GMT) quartz that I enjoy owning. I never wear it but it's a great conversation piece! I might oil-fill it just for fun.
You sound like Michael Caine. Nice video. I myself am sort of an Invicta fan, not of their whacky designs thoughs and I have 2 Invictas: - the golden 1953 with the green dial, which is gorgeous in real life, has a yellow rotor, impeccable bezel action and build quality on par with a Orient Kamasu (and the same accuracy of +4 secs a day); I was expecting to be disappointed, I am delighted instead. I plan on buying the classic 1953 and the rose-gold 1953 as well. As I said, build quality is awesome, - a classic blue dial golden accents "submariner", 40mm, with the basic grey rotor. Visibly lower quality than the 1953 (but still better than the lower-end Seikos) and the accuracy is all over the place. It's + 30 secs right now. I was expecting to be deligthed, I am kind of disappointed. I was planning to get a "Hulk" Invicta soon, I am reconsidering it.
Wow, Michael Caine is easily the best comment I have received 😍 Thank you 😎 The Hydromax is a lot of fun, I 100% agree that Invicta have some true gems that people should not overlook. The Pro Diver SE is the best one that I have, and the Casio Duroesque Grand Diver is another ; )
I like big watches and I wear them.. These days I'm an Aragon fan but I like that watch you're showing very cool watch I may have to get one but it does seem very thick
Hi, yes, I get a lot of recommendations for Aragon so will check them out again. The Invicta is overly thick, which is a bit of a shame in some ways, although I like it for what it is.
Glad you like and found it, have you purchased yet? You can easily get a 10% off code. I originally saw it for a bit less, but as its Invicta price will go up and down lol
Possibly the world’s greatest watch. Especially when you look at the price. If it was any cheaper then Invicta would be paying you to wear it. Glad you love it, it’s too big even for me and I love a big chunky watch as well….. nice fun video buddy
I saw a really nice looking small case Pro Diver with arabic numerals (numbers) on the Jura watches website. Came in steel and two tone. It was captioned as 'ladys'. Think it was 38mm?
I know how you feel....I wear the Rolex Black Dial Deepsea Sea Dweller and all my Rolex friends think I'm nuts because the watch is so big.... Its not easy being a real man is it?
@wristopia4101 I see what you getting at but I'd argue Grand Seiko manufactures their clasps whereas Invicta is most certainly buying off-the-shelf clasps from China. They aren't the only brand guilty of this. It's one way to keep prices low. I bought the same one on Aliexpress for a mod watch I built a while back.
There are many people who have sold and/or will never buy a Grand Seiko again due to not having any adjustment on the clasp. Neither my AD stores manager or the Grand Seiko rep at the stores Grand Seiko event I attended knew what was needed to get my bracelet to fit me 3mm better by manipulating link combinations. I then had to pay £95 for an additional link to get the 3mm adjustment I needed, and changing multiple Grand Seiko links is not a great experience. Lots of people are wearing very poorly fitting Grand Seiko's IMO, so I feel my comment was fair.
Hi Gavin, So kind of you to ask ; ) Yes, not too shabby thanks. Have been away to Scotland, but planning a couple or three videos in the next couple of days. Invicta will get a mention lol!
Glad to hear you are well. Looking forward to seeing whatever comes next. I tried on the Summer blue Ultra Deep this week and was really impressed. Be interested to see the Ultra Deep stack up against one of these Hydromax Invictas. Luxury mega diver vs budget version sorta thing.....
@@gavinBsussex I have not seen any of the Summer Blues in the flesh, but I felt the standard blue graduated dial was the one to go for, as it has a bigger variety of colours and precious metal (which I do not think the Summer Blue does?). I am also not keen on the graffiti stuff. My fave was the Planet Ocean Summer Blue, but it was only in the smaller 38mm. This ironically should be a big seller, but people only focus on the SMP300 unfortunately.
You seem like a nice enough guy so I'll be as nice as I can. It just AMAZES me that anyone with two brain cells would buy an Invicta over literally any other watch brand. They're pure garbage mate and even have a "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau in Florida where they're based out of. Please explain to me how you overlook the unnecessarily huge size/weight, incredibly cheap quartz(in most)movements, gaudy style, insanely shady MSRP pricing and horrible customer service. These watches are simply for those that know nothing(nor seemingly care to learn) about what makes a quality watch. What is the allure?
I do not choose them over other watches. They are in addition to them. Have you seen my other watches? Invicta are fun and seem to get people talking, which is a good thing IMO
Why not just slap a grandfather clock on your wrist? Or a brick with a dial? No style whatsoever. At the end of the day your watch arm is longer than the other!
Those are some thick watches.
I am always stunned how manny people are diehard Invicta fans,as a Seikopath I really respect them!!
