Producer Michael is living his best life. Good for him. He also gives the impression that he shares a certain love for the objects. He also appreciates the attention..
You were very respectful to Producer Michael as a person. You gave your opinions on his collection. You have different taste. You both appreciate watches and the work that it takes to create a timeless masterpiece. The copyright strike sound like someone him or in his camp got their feelings hurt on someones else's opinion when they should stay in their lane. If you put it out for the world to see opinions and critiques are part of the territory. Thank you for this and I hope this one stays up this time.

PM’s collection is the collection of someone who started broke remember that for him it started as status to look rich wasn’t looking for Subtlety he likes factory stones only now so he learned as he went he has memories with all the bust downs now so hard to give up something you once loved and made you feel better I like his stuff let’s be real poker night with the guys would be kool to bring out some kool looking watches I get it they have ruined some but I’m sure he has original one as well and to be honest his collection is so much more fun to watch for a viewer must people got ten Rolex and a couple Royal oaks and some dress watches and that’s about it
Looks like a difference of opinion, O repeatedly emphasizes this "it's not my cup of tea" or "it's not my kind of thing" etc. Aside from the bare differences in opinion, it may have been O's emoting, including laughter, and exclamations that rubbed PM the wrong way.
Thank you for posting this video. You were not too hard on him. I am not a fan of watches laced with diamonds either, but but apparently there is a market for people who love it.

You were very respectful and friendly during your review and I’m shocked he took offence with it. A copyright strike was a terrible decision and he probably owes you an apology. One thought, he may have been offended by your use of the word ‘Rape’ to describe his watches; that word is very offensive to many and is often misused. Thanks for the content.
He comes from the music industry, his collection is as near to completely tasteless rapper bling as is possible. The word ''rape'' is completely at home within that scenario.

I would rather have the money than good taste. Taste is what other people see. The money buys the things you like. Who cares what other people think, they aren’t that important.
The thing is... Michael lives in a completely different world to most of us. He is obviously super wealthy, and that has enabled his natural eccentricity to evolve in whichever way he chooses... and along with it his tastes. He is clearly a super nice guy though. I sometimes watch his channel, not because I like his watches, but because it is like an anthropological study. His wealth and eccentricity have shaped his tastes and so I just shrug my shoulders. I mean, I think gold and diamonds make a watch look less refined, not more expensive, but that's just my taste and I don't know the criteria that Michael uses to judge a watch. What I would LOOOOOOOOVE Michael to do, if you are out there reading Michael, is a video covering what criteria you look for in a watch... so we can understand what your tastes are, rather than judging them from the perspective of our own tastes. Then I would be able to appreciate better where Michael is coming from and join in on his enthusiasm more.
And by the way, I don't like Oison's tastes in watches either. I find Rolex as boring as dog turds... but I love the other watches he covers, I love just hanging out with Oison as he chats about watches and life, and I enjoy the style and intelligence of his videos and video editing. His Panerai and Interstellar videos are little masterpieces. Maybe one day Oison, you can explain at a deeper level what you like about Rolex.
as my father would say "owning a rolex is a sign that you follow the crowd rather than lead it" my father was never fond of cheap watches, he always wore jlc and patek, myself, i wear a grand seiko sowflake, costs as much as a basic rolex but is vastly more classy, only rolex i own is a cellini, because they are honestly great

One of the first few videos I watched after subscribing. I thought it was a great video. Some criticism on the watches but lots of respect giving to PM. I did buy his cologne btw. Lots of compliments on it. Keep up the good work. Most watch channels are about themselves and not the watches. That’s why I enjoy your videos, it’s about the watches and presenter second. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I just happen to see Producer Michael reacting to Niko's reaction on this very same video yesterday. PM was laughing about Niko's brutal reaction to his watches. I don't understand why he felt compelled to strike your video. Compared to Niko your reactions were gentler and more civilized. I do enjoy watching Producer Michael even though his taste is something to be desired.
Because Oisin is actually respectable, Michael's feelings were obviously hurt and I think a deeper analysis of that kind of behavior would prove a bit of flattery. Niko on the other hand is low hanging fruit at this point.

I have not a clue how they threw a strike at you for making this. I thought this was extremely well done. Well mannered. And very honest and fair. Rattzo was insulting and his video and that was kept up. I don't understand it. But anyway I really enjoyed this. You should do an updated reaction video on PM. And maybe some other collections too. Hearing your take and ideas is always world class.

I subscribe to both of your channels for different reasons. But what you both have is a sincerity and I really cannot see anything for Michael to object too; he certainly never comes across as over sensitive in his videos, so not sure what he could have taken offence to. I thought your perspective was entirely reasonably presented and respectful, while honest👍
Oisin, greetings from Norway. Probably a stupid question. But is it possible to salvage a watch that has been attacked by after-market diamonds? Thinking of the Pateks, Producer Michael has blinged out. Can they be restored to their original beauty, or are they f.....? Love your videos.
Since the process requires drilling cavities in all the surfaces where diamonds are set, I doubt you could restore the watches without replacing all the drilled parts. It might be worth it if it’s just the bezel and/or dial.

Michael recently did a reaction to Nico's reaction, which was light hearted and it seemed Michael has "lightened up" quite a bit.

Michael recently admitted he has moved away from aftermarket modified watches and vulgar stuff to more classic and factory original watches on one of his videos. So maybe his thinking has changed to agree with your view a bit more Oisin. Good video and nice to see it again.
Michael probably just realized that spending big money to ice his watches actually made them less valuable.
I don’t know the backstory of this drama. That said, I find your review of these watches to be balanced, thoughtful, and informative. Producer Michael comes across as a thin-skinned narcissist. He has the taste of a Third-World dictator who has been pillaging his country’s treasury for years.
The guy's username is "Producer [his name]", what did you expect? His username is actually what put me off immediately and made me not even bother with any of his videos, it just reeks of self-importance and douchebaggery.

I thought this review was as respectful of Michael as possible while giving your honest reaction and opinion of his collection. While I lean more towards your perspective, I find his videos to be quite entertaining and I find him to be rather likable most of the time.

I don't think Oisin was betraying his own beliefs or usual style. However, I personally fell in love with this channel because it produces things in a very unique way compared to what most of the other watch YT channels does. Authentic style and freshness in contrast to submission to the community hype and to the likes and subscriptions numbers. In my humble opinion it was a mistake to make a reaction video on first place because it will eventually get you into a "beef" and this channel is about something else.

I think it is pretty clear that Producer Michael and I won't be fighting over the same watches in future. He has the occasional watch in his collection that I might be interested in owning, but for the most part, not my taste.
As to whether or not he was right to be offended... tough call. Obviously you (Oisin) were a little acerbic at times. I personally can't disagree with much of what you said, but I can imagine that someone who is personally/emotionally invested in their collection, could be hurt. We all like it better when something we like is liked by others. I have a huge spot in my collection devoted to Panerai. Not everyone likes Panerai, I get that. Could I be okay with someone ripping apart my favourites, maybe. I'm quite active in the watch community. I often see people who are proud of a watch that my inside voice is going, "Oh hell no". My outside voice usually tries to find something nice to say about it. Though that would make for a really dull reaction video.

I don’t particularly like every watch of his but I do love most of them and it is fun to see even the strange looking ones. Producer Michael is a legit cool dude and I’ve always gotten a kick out of his very unique but cool style. I couldn’t imagine a world without the eccentric but fun good people like Producer Michael. I don’t understand why he reached out and had you remove the video I think you were fine. You obviously have a deep love and appreciation for watches, the insane crazy skills it takes to make those intricate beautiful parts and the history of watch making so I would have been very flattered had I been Michael to see you took the time to review and give your opinions on my collection, honestly.

Oisin a very good and fair review. I have watched many of your videos and Michael's videos. I have enjoyed all of them and often tasked my son to watch them as well.
I think the only thing anyone might get upset about is the reference to the R word at the end.

One of your most entertaining videos. And there is a serious point here about the relationship between aesthetic and moral values. The string quartet comparison at the end absolutely nails why the collection is more than just ghastly; at some level it represents a much deeper failure. Probably why he had the video blocked!

Producer Michael just released a video of him reacting to Nico Leonard reacting to his watches. His taste in watches have changed and he no longer "mutilates" them as he says. The Rolex GMT is factory and I personally love it. You are correct, Nico Leonard tore him up and you were much kinder in your assessment. I believe Nico did an updated review recently which was much nicer since there weren't any bust down watches in that video.

I recall enjoying this film the first time it was released. I like Producer Michael in that he’s everything I’m not, flamboyant, wealthy and super confident but he shouldn’t have requested you be given a copyright strike. Especially if he agreed that you could critique his collection beforehand.
Regardless, very entertaining film, I’ll look forward to parts two, three, four, five, six…

At the end of the day it is each to their own and I would also agree that the diamond crusting is a bit much! Sometimes classic design doesn't need augmentation......Producer Michael obviously feels the need to personalise his collection. At the end of the day, there is a good reason why you don't get body kits for Lamborghinis! Great video, keep up the good work!
Having been a watch collector for some 40+ years, I must say that Producer Michael watches tells me that money does NOT by class (not talking about the way he dresses). But then again, diamonds are a girl's best friend. LOL -

PM is a great guy and watch lover and appreciater and humble and has some amazing pieces and maybe just bought those ostentatious iced ones for a bit of investment but some of them are indeed grotesque in terms of the brand designs. i would never buy several of them if I had millions no way no how. take a crack at SuperCarBlondies collection if you dare! haha

I think the timing of video is very relevant with lockdown. Although you are respectful to him.. it does come across like you enjoy putting the boot in. We know what he's like and about, the watch family should stick together. We are good people with standards. I just feel the video is not needed , but who cares. YT didn't take it down. Michael did. YT, eventually put it back up but by then, i had already deleted it myself.

to be honest I feel that RM look similar to Casio in some way, you can see there's letters "start/stop" on the pushers of the chronograph, it's the same on the Casio.

I like Producer Michael because he is a wealthy guy but he is not pretentious. He is a nice person. On the other hand, I do not care for his taste in watches. I still like to watch his videos even though I cannot relate to his watch decisions or his lifestyle decisions. Live and let live I always say.
