I do a lot of work modeling 3d models for printing at 1:260 to 1:400 scale and have spent a lot of time learning what details are small enough to be omitted without being missed and what details need to be exaggerated for printing because they add to the visual impact of the model even if the exaggerated detail may look odd or unrealistic on the digital model. it's an interesting excursive in compromise, and weapon barrels that are not hollow but have a dimple to indicate it should be hollow. And accounting for model painting techniques and how the builder will paint different details and features is a whole other ballgame.
I hate to say it but there’s something I’m not crazy about with the engine layout. I know that it is true to the of Connie, but they feel a little too detached for a ship this chunky. The reason it works visually on the current Connie is because of its slender silhouette. Maybe pulling the engines in closer to the body and moving the top 2 closer to one another would make the ship feel more believable. Just a thought! Let me know what you think.
The current struts are just a placeholder at the moment. I think if they were thicker, it would help balance the look better. They are also all identical struts at the moment as well. So when I go through and make proper ones, it should be fairly easy to make different lengths.
With how they’re going about making ships now (one manufacturer at a time) maybe they should consider doing gold standard reworks in the same way
Been waiting for this! 👏🏿

Would be awesome to see you make an Rsi Polaris after it is released later on this year. Wonder how much that would cost.
It would be cool. But it's not a good idea to try and recreate all that detail as a one man team.
last thing to do for ship? apply orange creamsicle paint
So gross. I hate that color scheme so much.
@@OddJobEntertainment how dare you! it is the best paint in the game
