Was good atmosphere that day good crowd for friendly Always wondered when Rangers asked speak to Gazza was there hint memory of atmosphere ,fans having sampled Ibrox .No doubt after that game Spurs players wouldve been highly impressed Gary Lineker said Souness wanted take him Rangers when signed Barcalona Wouldve been fantastic player for us .Not lot fans know Souness had been following young Alan Shearer he wouldve rattled few also Mo & Ally plus Matk Hateley ability in air fearsome front line
Seem to remember this game, was it a pre season friendly? As English clubs were still banned from Europe at the time so it cnat have been a qualifier for European/UEFA/CWC.
In this match, we had Chris Woods, Terry Butcher, Ray Wilkins, Gary Stevens, Trevor Steven and Mark Walters; 6 in total 🏴 Other England internationals such as Mark Hateley, Graham Roberts and Paul Gascoigne played for Rangers between the late 80's and mid 90's ⚽

I was at the game and remember Paul Stewart being a particularly unfriendly and angry young man, great game though.
