It is more than night and day, it is a completely different device and experience! I'm really happy with the 3+.

For me, the ultimate PSP playing device has become my PS Vita. I am running Henkaku on it and use retro arch for all of the lower systems and Adrenaline to run PSP and PS1 games natively. I have a retroid pocket 3 as well but consistently pick up the Vita now.
I bought a couple of these for myself or my eight year old son, not knowing how he would feel about his Vita. One is this clear blue, the other one is yellow. I also bought a used Anbernic RG280V (the small device on the table, but in the black-silver version) and a used white RG351P, thinking that we could share whatever we needed and sell the rest. Now I’m puzzled. The Vita is an amazing device, even without hacking. The little Anbernic 280v is a cracking little portable for retro games on the go or in a break. The 351P is around the same price second-hand, but for serious gaming, it is much better than the 280V, but less portable. I think on the basis of the screen and Android games, I may keep the blue Retroid, the Vita for my son and the 280V. We are spoilt for choice these days. To be fair, I don’t even like gaming much. Am I mad?
Im willing to buy one to revive the old days with all the arcade and NES and SuperNES games, and N64 but how or where to get them in order to be able to play it it ?
I really do want this but I am holding out for the Pimax Portal for the larger screen . Just because the RG35XX is already my everyday carry. Or you never know maybe RP4 is gonna pop out of nowhere .

I ordered during Chinese new year so I waited about 4 weeks for it to ship. But once it shipping it took about 5 days. The delay now is that they’re changing screen manufacturers. I only get fast shipping as a shipping option.

Hi there, thanks for that question, no the RP3+ does not come loaded with games but it did give me the option to install all the necessary emulators from the beginning. You can actually just run your games within each emulator but a front end like Daijisho is worth the effort.
Everyone called retroid lazy for shipping EXTRA BONUS chips for the consumers and they all complained about it. Then rp3+ came out and %95 Of the consumers said they preferred the other one instead of the membrane ones 🤦🏿♂️ NOTHING will ever satisfy these complaining babies 🤱
I wonder what would happen if they released a unit called for Retroid Pocket 4, and not simultaneously offering a 4 +... after the 2 and 3, I wouldn't buy one.

Initial setup is scary but just hang in there. Use Daijisho, it automatically chooses your emulators. Just first setup RetroArch and all the other emulators and then move onto setting up your front end.

yep the vita itself is the best psp device as well as ps1 as it has psp hardware built in and runs all the games perfectly without emulation.

From what I have heard Retroid are working on a clamshell and vertical device.

Tad bit off subject but I was wondering what your thoughts on plastic vs metal handhelds are? Do you have a preference yourself?
At first I was a big fan of the metal ones but I actually prefer the lighter plastic devices.
That being said if someone was asking me for a recommendation for one device to last them forever the RG353M from Anbernic would be top of my list.
