This looks like fun. The first video I watched was during the rally (didn't realize till I watched this) and I decided to never go based on that. Glad I watched this to change my mind. LOL
Yeah, riding these roads not during the rally is pretty awesome, though you have to watch out for cars more. All of these roads though I'd recommend doing them in the morning. Check out the Iron Mountain Road videos I did from this year. We had a good run both directions.
Mount Rushmore is framed by all 3 tunnels either in front of or behind you depending on direction of travel.

If want to enjoy the rides it is better to go before or after the rally. The roads are overly crowed and you can't enjoy the ride during the rally. Needles was stop and go, just not fun.
