Nice to see that you guys are human, just like the rest of use. Bit hit and miss with the whiting, my best was at Jumpimg Pin with one flick of the old cast net, 40 odd all over 40cm. Best day ever and then the old Ship/ Shop turned up right beside us and we had a beer or two to celebrate. Good times.
We use sand shrimp in oregon to fish for steelhead,Chinook and silver salmon in the tide water and rivers in oregon. Ive found if you you a two hook setup and use a egg loop on the hooks they will hold the sand shrimp on the hooks better and look more naturally without killing the sand shrimp by inserting the hooks into them and killing them. This hook setup works best when used with a bobber set up or what we call plunking where you use a six foot leader with a lead sinker and cast out and just let the sinker rest on the bottom . When using this set up its important to use a slip sinker so the fish don't feel the weight of the sinker and you can detect Suttle bites.
Isn't it kinda strange they have what has to be pretty much the exact same thing there as we do here? Nothing else much similar, but their sand/ghost shrimp look identical and definitely live in the exact same kind of ground. Just, you know...probably a 10-20 degree water temp difference. Possibly more.
I've always found time and time again the big ol ting come on the bite as a storm press closer as the barometric pressure drops. Loved the vid mate also the flatly was a no count as it didn't leave the water but solid lizard at that. 🤙
i have always found if your pumping for yabbies its bets in at least a foot of water. with a yabby sieve. around where you where fishing i tend to get about 3 to 8 a hole.
Another great episode Sammy 👍 just a quick thank you just spent 2 weeks in Rehab after a Stroke and if it wasn’t for watching all your videos again I would have gone crazy . Still going to be a while before I’m back in the boat but can always look forward to Sunday mate. Thanks again 👍
We use to fish at forster and catch nippers in shallow water and while pumping someone else would cast in behind us like a masive burly trail.Worked well
My dad (RIP) and I used to work those pumps early mornings. Looks like the seal on your pump is a little suspect. I worked the pump from 7 years old for me it was as good as landing a fish when I pumped 2 to 3 at a time. Where there are little fish there are big ones. Patients key to success with fishing.
Holy hell mate, ive never seen someone rig a yabby like that with the barb way down the back instead of under the head, or let a fish run on a yabby rather than just strike on a proper bite.. 😂 Also when bread and butter fishing like this, a small sinker only gives you an advantage, they aren't shy.
Need to be at the front of the bank , seaway end ... whole area is over fished , got my spots with 7-10 , 40cm plus whiting , grunter & flathead all on yabbies......every time ...
Sammy ❤ Ur UA-cam video I am new at fishing can u do a video on fishing rods set up because I have buying rods same with wheels on the end same don't please... keep up the great work mate 👍 🎣🎣
Hey mate, love the vids !! Keep up the good work. I'm from Gladstone Queensland. The boyne Tannum hookup is a large family fishing competition. I'd love for you to come up. Get in touch and let's make it happen
Cant say I have ever used burley inshore, never had any troubles catching fish. Then again, In saying that I’ve never used/ tried it so I cant knock it i spose.
Bread and butter always puts you back to the good times as a kid. Never underrated 👍

Thanks for taking us along!
The old yabbies were the go to bait when I fished down the broadwater in the late 70's to early 80's
BW’s are the best as you probably already know. Great video from you and Shauno.
There’s just something relaxing about wading the flats. Always love the banter Sammy and Shauno!
Shauno is ok, but he's no phantom 😂
Exactly , Yo where's the phantom at? Missing the ledgend haven't copped a spy of him in a while now
Loving the banter!

Good to see you’re doing better!!!
Cracking episode, bread and butter fishing and good times with ya mates. Cheers!
Loved this episode! Very jealous in SA that we don’t have fishing like this.

Great video Sammy, to good times and good mates. Although might need to break out those steaks in the fridge😊
Looks awesome, great video. You have a great fishery down there. Here at Yeppoon in CQ we dont get much other than stingray.

This video was a bit like tuning into the test earlier, settling in on the couch to watch - and Marnus is bowling 😂
Piss funny😂😂
If it's a touch breezy you can use a glass running bead as a sinker/weight.
They dissapear under water and really help.
Good times with good friends! The heckling between you and Shauno is always entertaining! Thanks for sharing Sammy!!
Call em “Nippers” down Mid North Coast where I am Sammy. Excellent bait! Black fish love em when they are schooling off the beach.
I agree. The phantom would have shown both of you how to fish the bigger ones!

Need to be at the front of the bank , seaway end ... whole area is over fished , got my spots with 7-10 , 40cm plus whiting , grunter & flathead all on yabbies......every time ...
Great fun session! Any chance of a vid on collecting blood worms?

People don't realize how difficult it is to catch fish embryos.
Piss poor effort on the yabby pick-ups boys soo many missed yabbys
That place would be good fishing at night.

Absolute clowns 😂
Sammy don't you fellas burley up, I never do this type of fishing without burley i believe it makes a huge difference
Cant say I have ever used burley inshore, never had any troubles catching fish. Then again, In saying that I’ve never used/ tried it so I cant knock it i spose.
Burley inshore and you'll be destroyed by toads and small leatherjackets.
