Thanks for uploading! It's been hard to find good showcases of this mod with all of the hype around Stalker 2. I appreciate the raw gameplay section and the discussion about stability. I'll def be giving the mod a try now
I was surprised just how stable it was. So far though been having a great time playing it. When I complete it, I’m going to try and get my full team in with a difficulty mod to make it harder and do it all over again.
I can't remember what video I saw on youtube but I think a guy made a adamant comment saying that he will make stalker 2 co-opable. Think he might potentially be a modder!
Fantastic, incredible, most unique game experiences. A-life is a core game feature, whereas the vast majority of games have scripted encounters, stalker gives you the middle finger when you least expect it.
A-Life really is something honestly. I was playing vanilla CoP, hiding from dogs up on a tree. An emission hits. As im running to find cover, i see the entire area light up around me. I find a tunnel where two stalkers are waiting out the storm. So i sit and bs with one of them. It was a genuine experience that wasnt scripted, I just so happened to have had it done that way. Thats what makes the game immersive to me. You are not the center of attention, just a bystander

Been playing this with a buddy aswell the last couple of days, amazing experience! So much fun! Definitely replaces the void of no coop on Stalker 2! Shoutout to the guys that made this possible!
They have done a really good job on it. Curious to see how far they go with it. Would be awesome if they also added in Clear sky and Shadow of Chernobyl all at the same time. Not sure how stable that would be but still 😂

I have a set thing when playing games like this. I usually pick one set of weapon and stick with them. Whatever I don’t use I just pass to the others or in this game, dump all in our storage box
The old x-ray engine has been ripped apart and put together for years since SoC release by the community, there even multiple overhauled version that used by different standalone stalker mods, of course it a lot more stable compare to GSC work considering they still in middle of war.
It's not on xray engine and the UE5 will bloat and bog down the system... But the engine supports multiplayer as it has it built in. At best someone will make a 2 player co-op.
it will absolutely have it at the moment if you have the game open discord sets your status as "playing stalker 2 solo" why would they add the "solo" if they didn't intend to have a co-op
Stalker 2 coop would be astounding. I can imagine people around a camp fire jamming on their guitars after a long session of bandit ganking! (The guitars would be awesome though, ngl) I'd make it a closed thing, like with valheim, raft or the forest, so not an mmo style thing. Just 4 people in a squad against the zone. That'd be awesome.
Legit though various server styles peer to peer would be great. I'd be fine with a pvppve setup you die you spawn at nearest safe zones like stalcraft does it but have guides for travel still
Once again, the community is doing what the devs should have in the first place. Stalker 2 is amazing why the fuck is co-op not built in. like the eldenring co-op mod is proof enough that devs are shortsighted on the matter of what the community wants in their games.
i am pretty sure i heard that they have/had plans to put multiplayer in stalker 2. i think they were talking about having it planned for later. this was ~2y ago though.
@@HigginsBiggins Stalker 2 will not have co-op as the Devs themselfs have stated that in one interview. It's because of how the story branches and that it'd be too hard to implement. They apparently didn't saw a demand for it in the first place as well.
You make it sound like adding multiplayer functionality to a game would be a 5 minute job. They were constantly massively behind schedule even with the current single player mechanics.
It's originally from stalker gunslinger mod, which it's self a mod for CoP and has been used by a lot of different modders for their own project and standalone games. Though gunslinger it's self still unfinished and missing bunch of guns that available on the original stalker, mostly 5.56mm rifles.
I wouldn’t say it’s too late. Stalker 2 players might see more of a reason to play the older games or even for nostalgic purposes. The fact that this mod is the whole game and free means it could open the door to go back to the OG trilogy. I do also hope coop comes to stalker 2. Time will tell but it does seem the modding community is already going to town on it.
I have seen people in their discord talking about trying to put Gamma, Anomaly and Misery into this but it sounds like it will need a LOT of work. I think people are trying though. I’d play misery in coop if I could.
Not gonna happen. It'll take years or even decades. Also, anomaly together is a scam. Its project owner, Monokit, is a fucking scammer, there's a whole video about him.
When you launch the launcher again and go to host, under where you add the name and password it lets you select the save. With the Batch file run server, it auto loads the last save made.
Do you know if you are able to change the difficulty or anything at all as most loot we found seemed to be very high durability so I'm concerned it might be a bit too easy, also do you know if you can turn on subtitles? Thanks for bringing this mod to my attention me and my friends are looking forward to playing it
At the moment there is only options for default subtitles when you speak to characters directly. It's still early days with the mod so hopefully full subtitles will come. As for difficulty, yeah it is easy for loot/enemies but from what I saw in the commit in their git hub that was added recently was "Difficulty setting for game" so hopefully soon the option to make it even harder will come.

Quests are linked to whoever is “player 1” in the initial lobby. It’s best they are the ones getting quests just incase but I haven’t come across any issues. If you travel between zones all players get moved at the same time. I was also able to be quite far away from my buddy Ingame on one map with no issues either.
I can probably assume not all of the stalker games are modded with coop just shadow and cop but if some one could tell me otherwise that would be awesome
You are able to enter a ‘downed state’ where a teammate can revive you. If the player dies or if everyone dies at once, the last save is automatically reloaded.

Now I didn't exactly understood your warnings about all players must gather together before the start and there's no joining mid-game - but there are saves, so to let someone in, isn't it possible to save the game, quit to menu, and... ehh, idk how it works - everyone gathers in lobby and loads the game from that save? Or in other words, you played with your buddy for an hour, how do you continue next game - there's also a 'lobby' to join to load the save?
so if I make a server, and play lets say about 40% of the game....can I continue it from there with my buddies or will I have to restart this whole thing?
The launcher saves your progression during autosaves (quests, moving between maps...). Technically you should be able to, but they'll lack the equipment and guns you propably have by then. Never tried it myself tho...

I’ve not tried recently with the new patch that has added difficulty options but before we did have about vanilla numbers and an easier difficulty. Now we have options to make it harder but I’ve not gotten round to trying it yet. I do plan to try the hardest option soon to see how hard it is with coop play.
One player dies, game over, reload last save. While it might seem frustrating there are no revives, it means you are incentivized to watch each other's back, not over commit, etc etc. Incoming damage seems a bit on the low side, but otherwise well tuned for some good casual coop play given the relatively high risk failure states.
Install xrMPE Boot launcher and go to addons. Enable the Coop Mod. Then go to server and create your server and let the server boot up. Startup game and go to the server browser. (I just ran the game twice and instead of clicking server, I hit play) You may need to direct connect with the ip, port and password if it does not show in the list. (I hit Direct Connect, and just like minecraft copy and pasted the servers EXTERNAL IP.) I am sitting alone in my server. if i figure out how to get people to join I'll add that to this comment.

You can indeed quick save by pressing escape to bring up the menu. You can also load the last saved game too if you make a mistake. I think this was added in the last mod update.

Its Stalker 2's trailer. Don't actually get the game cause its still buggy and pretty expesnive, alongside its missing features including the binoculars and territorial animals. Heck you may need to wait longer just for the mods to come plus a heavy discount.

stalker 2 should have stalker 1, like a-life, the minimap, the binoculars. actual loot on enemies you kill, not a busted gun, nearly always, and 1 round of ammo. shooting 100 rounds wrecks your gun, same with getting shot, they then pay you zero and charge thru the roof for ammo and repairs. stalker 2 is more like a late game alpha as its not even feature complete when you look at 1's Ai and faction system.
Not played 2 yet but I do know there are already a ton of mods for it changing many of the games aspects so when I do get it, I’ll try it vanilla and if I’m not happy, I’ll mod to my tastes. Basically how I play Fallout 4 haha.
@@ItIsntJack problem with 2 is there is no a-life 2.0, it's just the unreal spawner set to jump you every so often and they renamed it. if you enjoy pushing your faction around the map flipping area's and stuff, you won't get that in 2. it does this even in missions, first mission i wanted to linger at i had the base respawning on me several times before i didn't have the ammo and meds to stay, it's very annoying. it looks beautiful, but it doesn't feel like stalker even after i modded the repair/durability balance so i could actually start getting cash positive without farming before every mission. i'd wait for them to patch it as much as they're going to, see if they actually deliver on the promise; the game is technically an alpha as it is, most of the stuff that's in is beta at best, the narrative content seems to be the only thing that's gone gold. it has the name, and the location, but it lacks the faction stuff and the balance of the original; and nobody should be forced to mod the game to realign things simply cause the malicious count toward vonhoddstien still lives.
@@ClannerJake There is a-life code in the game it's just not working properly. So they are doing a work around at the moment until they can get a-life fixed.
Give me a example of a alpha with a detailed map this size and a full story mode thats finished? I just dont understand to be honest..i have 20h on the game and i love it. My main issue is defiantly a life..stealth and ai in general, i think thats what a majority of players want so i find it hard to believe it wont be more functional in the next few patches. The new patch adjusted a lot of the things you have issues with also..personally i had no issues with the grind..but now it should be easier. Besides all this i think the base mechanics and map and atmosphere are pretty polished..maybe im bias who knows. I never even played orginal stalker i got into GAMMA 2months before stalker 2 came out and i still enjoy it a lot.
I’m not sure tbh as I ran it of a dedicated machine. I know you can host from the game launcher but I think you need to port forward. Hamachi might work but I have never used it so not sure.
No, you ca host the server locally, and even list your server publicly (with a password). Your friends will be able to find your server on the master list and (provided you have forwards ports) connect to it through the launcher.

Yes. It locally saves so you can load and save your progress. The save is on the host/server side so you can join others or host saves at will on a different save.

I’d like Gamma, Misery and Anomaly to work but it’s up to the creators of those mods or someone to take the time to port it to work. If it happens, I’ll be playing them.
I think Stalker 2 is a complete failure just my opinion as a veteran Call of Pripyat fan. If people like the new game that is fine, it just does not satisfy me.

Honest to god having played through all the titles, the coop mod is actually MORE stable than CoP in vanilla.
This is honestly so sick seeing the teamwork during the firefights, surprised this wasn't done sooner.
Best thing is you can have 4 players total in this mod.

No need. It’s all included in the coop. The launcher has it all. The whole game which is included has so many changes to it along with new models etc.

What happens with quests, are they separate? What if one of you fasttravels to another location?
Quests are linked to whoever is “player 1” in the initial lobby. It’s best they are the ones getting quests just incase but I haven’t come across any issues. If you travel between zones all players get moved at the same time. I was also able to be quite far away from my buddy Ingame on one map with no issues either.
I can probably assume not all of the stalker games are modded with coop just shadow and cop but if some one could tell me otherwise that would be awesome
Waiting for the A-life customization feature, so we can add more NPCs in the game. Overall the game is solid with just some few issues.😮

Unfortunately not at the moment. Might be added later as they seem to be doing a lot more work on the mod.
What happens when one of you dies? Is there a revival? Or everyone's reload from a save?
You are able to enter a ‘downed state’ where a teammate can revive you. If the player dies or if everyone dies at once, the last save is automatically reloaded.

Now I didn't exactly understood your warnings about all players must gather together before the start and there's no joining mid-game - but there are saves, so to let someone in, isn't it possible to save the game, quit to menu, and... ehh, idk how it works - everyone gathers in lobby and loads the game from that save?
Or in other words, you played with your buddy for an hour, how do you continue next game - there's also a 'lobby' to join to load the save?

so if I make a server, and play lets say about 40% of the game....can I continue it from there with my buddies or will I have to restart this whole thing?
The launcher saves your progression during autosaves (quests, moving between maps...). Technically you should be able to, but they'll lack the equipment and guns you propably have by then.

Arether more enemies or do enemies have more hp? Or is it the same as the vanilla version?
I’ve not tried recently with the new patch that has added difficulty options but before we did have about vanilla numbers and an easier difficulty. Now we have options to make it harder but I’ve not gotten round to trying it yet. I do plan to try the hardest option soon to see how hard it is with coop play.

Main mission at the moment. Basically the standard campaign with coop and fixes/tweaks as well as new sounds, animations and weapons.

One player dies, game over, reload last save.
While it might seem frustrating there are no revives, it means you are incentivized to watch each other's back, not over commit, etc etc.
Incoming damage seems a bit on the low side, but otherwise well tuned for some good casual coop play given the relatively high risk failure states.
So you can go into a downed state where one of your coop partners can get you up but if you die or another member dies, the game reloads last save.

You may need to direct connect with the ip, port and password if it does not show in the list. (I hit Direct Connect, and just like minecraft copy and pasted the servers EXTERNAL IP.) I am sitting alone in my server. if i figure out how to get people to join I'll add that to this comment.

Might be the age of the game so might not be able to. Not tried myself as I’m used to the default controls.

Yes. Full story. Just like the OG single player campaign. Only difference is now can be done coop.

You can indeed quick save by pressing escape to bring up the menu. You can also load the last saved game too if you make a mistake. I think this was added in the last mod update.

Its Stalker 2's trailer. Don't actually get the game cause its still buggy and pretty expesnive, alongside its missing features including the binoculars and territorial animals. Heck you may need to wait longer just for the mods to come plus a heavy discount.

stalker 2 should have stalker 1, like a-life, the minimap, the binoculars. actual loot on enemies you kill, not a busted gun, nearly always, and 1 round of ammo. shooting 100 rounds wrecks your gun, same with getting shot, they then pay you zero and charge thru the roof for ammo and repairs. stalker 2 is more like a late game alpha as its not even feature complete when you look at 1's Ai and faction system.
Not played 2 yet but I do know there are already a ton of mods for it changing many of the games aspects so when I do get it, I’ll try it vanilla and if I’m not happy, I’ll mod to my tastes. Basically how I play Fallout 4 haha.
@@ItIsntJack problem with 2 is there is no a-life 2.0, it's just the unreal spawner set to jump you every so often and they renamed it. if you enjoy pushing your faction around the map flipping area's and stuff, you won't get that in 2. it does this even in missions, first mission i wanted to linger at i had the base respawning on me several times before i didn't have the ammo and meds to stay, it's very annoying. it looks beautiful, but it doesn't feel like stalker even after i modded the repair/durability balance so i could actually start getting cash positive without farming before every mission. i'd wait for them to patch it as much as they're going to, see if they actually deliver on the promise; the game is technically an alpha as it is, most of the stuff that's in is beta at best, the narrative content seems to be the only thing that's gone gold. it has the name, and the location, but it lacks the faction stuff and the balance of the original; and nobody should be forced to mod the game to realign things simply cause the malicious count toward vonhoddstien still lives.
@@ClannerJake There is a-life code in the game it's just not working properly. So they are doing a work around at the moment until they can get a-life fixed.
Give me a example of a alpha with a detailed map this size and a full story mode thats finished? I just dont understand to be honest..i have 20h on the game and i love it. My main issue is defiantly a life..stealth and ai in general, i think thats what a majority of players want so i find it hard to believe it wont be more functional in the next few patches. The new patch adjusted a lot of the things you have issues with also..personally i had no issues with the grind..but now it should be easier. Besides all this i think the base mechanics and map and atmosphere are pretty polished..maybe im bias who knows. I never even played orginal stalker i got into GAMMA 2months before stalker 2 came out and i still enjoy it a lot.

I’m not sure tbh as I ran it of a dedicated machine. I know you can host from the game launcher but I think you need to port forward. Hamachi might work but I have never used it so not sure.
You can use Radmin VPN, it's exactly like Hamachi. Works perfectly.

No, you ca host the server locally, and even list your server publicly (with a password). Your friends will be able to find your server on the master list and (provided you have forwards ports) connect to it through the launcher.
@@BeRitCrunk I tried and my friends didnt saw the server on the list and if they saw it it would took a lot of time to make it appear on list, with radmin is much faster

Does progress save on this mod ?
Yes. It locally saves so you can load and save your progress. The save is on the host/server side so you can join others or host saves at will on a different save.

I’d certainly recommend playing it through solo first then play with friends on hardest difficulty to just have fun, or to suffer haha.

Nope. Mod includes the game files so no need to buy the game or download your own copy. Everything is done through the launcher.

Lazy devs is why games don’t have coop they don’t feel like working on coop bugs.

@espanyolpoop It's the same xxenglish.db file that comes from the standard game added into the mod version. I have added instructions on how to get it in the video description. I got it from the mods discord. Hope it helps.
