Hello to you both another great walk even in the mud very interesting about the tunnel thanks for adding the link there are few more I found on UA-cam . Have a great weekend stay safe .
Fascinating, your narration and drone footage for the train disaster story worked so well. Must get one of these dew ponds in my garden....wish I had the space. Great video you guys.
Boy! Would I enjoy your wheather. -28c this morning. Do not have to tell you that the little white van is not going anywhere these days. Thanks again for a nice visit. I appreciate it from my couch, by the fire with a nice coffee. 🥶 Be safe.
We are complaining of the cold and it is -2°C here today! I don’t think we could cope with the low temperatures you get 🥶 Thanks for watching and hope you are keeping warm by the fire 🔥 👍
Another grand tour and given the cloudy sky, your warm clothing and the mud I had to put on my jacket to warn off the cold! Between snow and rain in my neck of the woods, I've given up on tackling the mud for a bit of time. Now, my long walks for on several routes through and around the neighborhood. I am glad to see that path is so well used between walkers, runners and bikers. I am still a bit chilled from the last scene that I am going to go get a cup of tea. Thanks - hopefully soon back to normal life, stay healthy!
Another brill vid. Always really enjoyable and interesting. 👍( thanks for letting me on the Facebook page. I'm learning lots and massively excited to have just got a dji mini 2 .)
@@charityvanman8559 you will be for quite a while. To help your nerves settle watch some youtube videos on the how the ‘find my drone’ feature works. Forewarned is forearmed 😁👍

At last more people are using the ‘what3words’ App. It is fascinating to see where you are exactly from the air. Never heard of dewponds before, so I googled the word; and as usual scientists cannot agree on ‘mechanics’ of the system, only that they work. Glad to see you both out and about. Regards from very cold Hampshire coast line. AJ
Thanks AJ. We like the ‘what3words’ App too. Carol came across dewponds a few years ago while Geocaching and had to read up about them. Stay warm and safe in Hampshire 🙂👍
Prime Lockdown Viewing again Ken/Carol xx You getting to grips with the Mini 2, weather no so good for filming, but still looked great. Have a nice Weekend Hugs Stephen xx...
Thanks Stephen. Still practicing with the Mini 2 and find it copes better than expected with windy weather. Enjoying your chilly vlogs, you have had a lot more snow than us 🥶 Enjoy your weekend, take care 🙂👍
Thank you for the interesting info about the crash. I did a little research and found out that that crash was the catalyst which brought to an end the dangerous era of timed railway signalling and introduced widespread use of block signalling (where only one train at a time can enter a 'block') - a system which still survives today in one form or another.
Great you could get out and about. That looks a very nice walk and I always learn something new from your videos. Thank you. Is that a collapsible walking pole Carol to fit nicely in the little red camper?!
Yes it was lovely to get out and we always enjoy a walk on the South Downs for the amazing views. That is a Leki walking pole that does collapse down to fit in the van ☺️👍
Thanks for the lovely walk and the info about dewponds. I have what3words too - the fiancé told me about it. I wasn't initially convinced, but some time later I saw a BBC article about how it saved the lives of some teenagers when they were lost in the woods. I installed it & used it m on a hike. We had fun with me sending my location & he plotted my route from the points I gave. 😊 Cheers & greets from 🇵🇭! 👍🍺🎂
Didn't know about Dew ponds, very interesting....how cold was it up there? It can be very exposed when there is a chilly wind. Great drone footage as ever.
I absolutely love your videography on these walks. You make it look as though you strut ceaselessly on your merry way, and that a full team of camera operators are in attendance to capture it all. I sent my drone up today to capture the snowy scenery around us. It's only about the sixth time I've used it. It was very nearly the last, and I was very lucky to get it home as there was a hurricane blowing at about 100 metres!
Thanks John. I am still practicing with my new drone and learning new skills all the time. Glad you got yours back safely, don’t let that experience put you off 🙂
Hi Ken Love your videos especially the drone shots. I’ve just started following your channel and not sure if you have let us know what drone you use. Please can you give me the name and spec of the league drone you use 😀
So just wondering what there is not to like about this video? Is it due the the lack of the van? That is my only guess unless someone is just a troll... the footage was so beautiful... with things the way they are I hope you are able to resume your travels soon... Just wondering have you ever had the chance to spend time in a cannel boat? They seem like the water version of a camper van...
Thanks Chad. Our boating experience has been limited to a boating holiday on the Norfolk Broads and another on the Caledonian Canal in Scotland many years ago 😊
The car park is free. Only Jill windmill is open to the public but it is currently closed due to covid so keep an eye on the website if you want to look inside 😊
Hi there! I’m part of the team who look after Jill Windmill. Unfortunately we will be remaining closed for the time being. Our usual open days are on Sunday afternoons from April through till September but we are still unsure whether open days will go ahead yet. However once covid restrictions ease, we hope to open the grounds when our maintenance team are working on Saturdays. Although the mill interior will be closed, our volunteers including myself will happily answer any questions you may have! :)
I grew up near here, the dew ponds were built for the sheep, which covered these hills, when I was a child, the sheep were mainly kept for their wool, which isn't so much wanted now, as they make clothes from kind of plastic now.
If you would like to know more about that tunnel this is a good link www.theretirees.co.uk/PDF/Clayton%20Tunnel.pdf
