- First flight of the prototype of the F-100 Super Sabre powered by a 50mm Xfly Galaxy EDF and 4S1800mAh battery.
Most of the flight was at half throttle. The model flew well and looked good in the air, but will need to loose some weight before it will be released.
More info can be found in this thread at RC Groups: www.rcgroups.c...
I’m not a big fan of the Super Sabre, but your model looks and flies excellent! Great job and thanks for the video.
Not a big fan of the F-100 😱 How is that even possible😜 The Hun has some very elegant lines and as I was modelling the Super Sabre in CAD I really got to appreciate the jet. Big but very beautiful. Just wait till I finish painting it and add decals…
Thank you for your comment 🙂👍
Great - jus got a 50mm FMS left over. It is reserved now 😉
Thanks 🙂. But please be patient. I still have lots of work to do before a release.
Looks great Michael!!!!
Thanks Walt 🙂👍
Once again.... nice job
Thank you 🙂👍 Much appreciated.
can it be hand launched without using some fancy technique?
Don’t know yet. This was just the first flight test.
Nice!
Well done !! Again❤
Thanks Thomas. Wait till you see it with markings and weathering 😜
Excellent job mate!! May I ask is it possible to design a Mirage F1?
Thanks. Mirage F-1, hmmm… not on my To Do list, but not a bad suggestion. You have planted a seed… 😜👍
@@michaelghammer Hehehe....!! Think about it mate! It is an extremely hard yo find plane...! Especially with 3d printing version! If you go for it I'd really love to be the first to buy and build one! I love that plane! 😎😬
@rcostasbuild1165 I agree that the F1 is rarely modelled. Mostly because of the complicated retracts. That would not be a problem with a 50mm edf belly lander. But how many would want to build one? Apart from you 😉
@@michaelghammerWell... this might be set as a question for more than one model's :) personally I'm not fan of latest jet but I would happily 3d print the F-104 and F1 as well even with a belly lander option ;) my opinion is that a bunch of guy's would be happy to see that coming to life! What about set a vote? 😁
The F-104 was used by a lot of air forces around the world and many people can relate to them. The F1 was used by the french air force and a few others and is not well known by the general public. But I like the F1, so I may do at some point.
In the mean time you should print my F-104. It flies amazingly well.
Nice building mate! I'm working on a X 31 "Vector" not bigger than your SuperSabre ; I wish it could fly like your F100.
Thanks 🙂👍
X31 is super cool. Keep it light and it should fly well.
@@michaelghammer Thanks !
When might the files be available for purchase @michaelhammer ?
Some time in the autumn or early winter 2024. 3DLabPrint.com will sell the files.
