Triumph is the real deal rock band. They can do it all LIVE!!!! Masters of rock entertainment. They wow you with talent and grab your emotions and make you feel good.
Another power trio from Canada. Rock gods from our friends to the North. These guys are the real deal! Three guys put out such an immense sound! 👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw these guys several times live and they were always excellent shows! From the incredible talent onstage, sound, and effects everything was always fantastic!!
Another Canadian power trio, Rik Emmett's lead guitar and vocals are iconic, the drummer Gil Moore also sang lead on many songs and Mike Levine on bass and keyboards was a master of wearing many hats. Many people compare them to another Canadian trio Rush, but the 2 bands were very different despite surface similarities. Triumph was power guitar rock, and while Rush could go power, they excelled at the progressive sound with lyrics that tended to make you think.
Thanks for the reaction to Triumph. Please do more of them. Maybe do some of their studio tracks or some of the live video footage of the 1983 US Festival.
I just had to mention that in the thumbnail it says 1981, and yes it was released then you are correct. This performance is from 1987. I loved this concert growing up, had it on VHS. Another thing just in case you didn't know, they usually don't have the second guitarist. His name is Rick Santers, had his own band good singer. Anyway great band, they have an amazing repitoir of music. I would suggest the album Just a Game... was always my favorite.
I hope you decide to try more Triumph. I'd recommend "Fight the Good Fight" live. Lead singer & guitarist, Rik Emmett, wrote the song for his aunt who was battling cancer.
I don't remember hearing this one before! They have a 😊 glam, pop rock 🥌 sound, and it's 😍 pretty 🆒 😎 cool! The lyrics are pretty inspiring 😂 and positive! Good 👍😊 groove!
They used to play the s*** out of this song on the radio when it first came out like some of these other ones and the rest I mention here are awesome too. "Fight The Good Fight", Lay It On Ihe Line, Hold on, World Of Fantasy, Too Much Thinking, When the Lights Go Down, Just A Game, Never Surrender, Spellbound, Time Goes By" and "Rock Out Roll On" 😂
This song, this album, this band was the sountrack to my high school years. I specificaly blasted this tune before every varsity basketball game I ever played. (cassette walkman wih headphones!)
This is my favorite song named my black Labrador magic he was 145 pounds of solid muscle made old yeller look like a bitch saved me from three dog attack almost killed all three never forget him.
Rush is the most popular rock 🎸 trio in Metro Toronto. Their friends Triumph is 2nd. Written by Rik Emmett. He is the lead singer, keyboardist and guitarist 🎸. He sounds more like a young Geddy Lee of Rush than Steve Perry of Journey. Great song 👍 Suggested video 📹: Triumph performs All the Way.
Angela...not crazy about iit? Listen to the studio version and keep listening to it....everybody was crazy about it. Its fantastic! I think some of these reactors are just off or they need to listen to the songs more....anyway
I always say never react to a live version of a song, at least not for your first reaction. You should always try to hear it the way that we all first heard it, that would be the studio recording.
Angela, there is a much, much, much better live version of this song from 1983 that you might want to check out to hear how good Triumph is live. This version that you reacted to here is garbage compared to the one from 1983. Love and Peace

Wow. The guitar player sounded like Tommy Shaw of Styx and played like Alex from Rush. I enjoyed it.
Triumph so underrated your are on a roll tonight.
Ahhhh the 80's, gotta love em😊

Triumph
Lay It On The Line

In my neck of the woods, they had a few year stretch (mid late 80s) where they and Bad Co (minus PR) alternated opener/headliner. I went each year.
In my opinion, because all music is subjective -- Magic Power is the best song ever. It's a song about how songs affect our emotions.
For a live version, this is quite good. However, the studio version is absolutely excellent.

Oh can I do the goosebumps with you! Sounds like a song!! Let's do the goodbump!!
I got the power...I wish I had the power to make the terrible US better. Gotta get Biden outta there people.

Its such a feel good song!!
Time Cannon/Killing Time is a must and Rock And Roll Machine from the 83 US FESTIVAL
One of my favorites. It's about the power of music.
I will echo the sentiments below - they were amazing at the US Festival 1983. Fight the Good Fight or Lat it on the Line are 2 great ones.

Between this and Rush’s “Spirit of the Radio”, there’s not much else you can say about how great radio used to be.
I hope you decide to try more Triumph. I'd recommend "Fight the Good Fight" live. Lead singer & guitarist, Rik Emmett, wrote the song for his aunt who was battling cancer.

I don't understand why I never see reactions to "Somebodies out there."
Another power trio. Great live band. Saw them a couple times. Good times.
This was great!! His voice reminds me of Dennis DeYoung of Styx!! These guys are really good! 😅
You are a very cool Lady!
I like to hear your comments.
Thanks Angela! Great tune and Band from the North!
Rik Emmett is a Legend
This song, this album, this band was the sountrack to my high school years. I specificaly blasted this tune before every varsity basketball game I ever played. (cassette walkman wih headphones!)
Lol yeah Angela I rewound it like five times and you said powder lol. Great reaction.
Triumph was a bad ass band

Great song 👍

Gil Moore the drummer also sings.
Oh yhis os one of my all time fav's! Who else?? I hope Angela rocks out to it!!
Awesome !
Love this song
Surprised about this reaction. Great song imo.
3 guys from Canada did ok, again.
It almost sounded like you pronounced the name of the song by saying: "magic powder". I think that refers to angel dust or cocaine.
😂🤣
no words..😂😂😂
Your intro and outro licks sound like Eric Johnson. Is that EJ?
Angela...not crazy about iit? Listen to the studio version and keep listening to it....everybody was crazy about it. Its fantastic! I think some of these reactors are just off or they need to listen to the songs more....anyway
🤘😎🤘
Kinda wish she would have done the studio version.
Rush and Triumph! Canada's best bands!
Lay it on the line
Rik emmett is canadian and one of the best rock singers outthere!
Enjoyed the song, he had a good voice and the sound reminded me a bit of Yes-Colin Ward
Suggestion : Triumph song Just a game. You’ll love it.
Donnie, iris love is like a rock
He's more of a high Tenor type of voice like Perry and even Sam Cooke.
magic power not magic powder jekeje
who the heck are these guys?
Your picking some good tunes.
Uhh! not so fast don't forget about The Guess Who and April Wine who has a multitude of great jams.
I always say never react to a live version of a song, at least not for your first reaction. You should always try to hear it the way that we all first heard it, that would be the studio recording.
still waiting to hear you react to margie josephs song words are impossible ok please
Triumph a lot of good noise for only being a three man band.

this isn't the best live version. whomever picked it didn't find the good version for you.
There's a good one
