Really enjoyed watching this. I know the area well and had no idea that fish could be caught so close in using light rock fishing tactics. Been fishing off and on in this area for a few years without much luck, so will be giving Wisemans Bridge and the rocks on Coppet Hall a try with this. Thank you.
What a great session! I have only fished feathers from under the band stand before and savage gear prey lure in fresh water bay. I caught my first bass from freshwater and all though it was small it I was over the moon! were back in august, hopefully hit more this time, oh and head over to bosherton for the pike
Thanks mate! Great informative vid Australian in Tenby . .went down near the big rock this morning sand eels everwhere every cast a bass 2 to 4 kg range ....9 caught all released on chome slice 6lb line . Best fishing in a long time. Thanks again! Also in australia we dont use inline weights do you know of any vids demonstratin this.
Theflicker67 Thanks buddy I'll check it out, I'm fishing with a drop net at the moment, quite a polava carting it about, telescopic seems to be better 😀
I used Tict fisit plastics, they are 3" in length and thin. Most slim shads or sand eel patterns will work there and slim hard plugs along with poppers. Early mornings/ first light is best, but you will catch through the day.
Great vid mate, cracking action! We are down in tenby from tmoro and are chucking the rods in the van, you might not see this in time but wheres the best place for us to chuck some lures about this time of year?
Between the old and new life boat station, or head the a beach called Travaine and fish off Monkstone rock which you can stay on at high tide. Head out towards Saundersfoot and at the roundabout at new hedges theres a single lane road straight in front of you, down there park by farm and follow footpath to coastal path go straight across path and down path to beach go left to point. You can see it from Tenby harbour .
You can by a similar net from uk by diawa, I buy mine from Japan as they have a vast selection and handles up to 9m which collapse. Art of fishing and Glasgow angling centre do the diawa version 4-6m.
There made by Tict, you can get them from Lure heaven, art of fishing or Japan . They come in; top-water, light ,neutral and sink fall rates with weights varying from 3g-11g depending on the fall rate model you choose...
@@realrobprice Where the old life boat station is, path around top and you will see old path down to underneath. on other side is the bandstand which can be good at high. When tide is out fish down the side of the old life boat slip at end plenty of decent Turbot on jig, just don't on spring tides..
Years and years a go. I know folk who fish there , regular with lures/plastics and it provides some cracking fishing ,so give it ago and anywhere on the Gower, there are some places at the beginning left side of the Gower which are good for Black Bream as well. Bass should be plentiful this time of year...
Great video from my home town not fished that spot much used to have mackerel on feathers as a kid by the bucket
Great video, stunning fish, going to Penally next weekend and the rod and lures will be packed! Thanks for the info!
Awesome video... the scenery was amazing, beautiful place.

Best of luck, also very good for Turbot with the same tactics along the sand.

Hi, what rig and lure were you using here?
Caro rig with a Tict slow sink caro, they come in different fall rates from floating to fast sink and there VR 0.5g jig head. and plain 1.8g jighead.
i love this vid
Great Vid, I'm planning a bit of spinning for bass fishing in Tenby in July can you recommend what lures would be effective. Cheers

What time did you start here caught good bass where you were only to bait though
Just before first light until about 8.00 am.

Thanks for the reply. Next time I'm up tenby way, I'll see if the mrs will let me bring my rod and give it a go lol.
Nice video can you help me out where can I buy a net like that ?

Great video man, just wondering where you get your inline weights from? Not seen that style before

Alright pal, what's the casting weight on that rod if you don't mind?
3.5g max rated to 2.5lb line....
Scrub the above was thinking of another vid... One rod is 0.5g-5g and the other is 0.6g-10g
Where is this?
South west Wales
