Henry takes a break from Bass fishing in between tides and has a fun short session for Wrasse, trying out a new lure that is normally used for freshwater angling.
so nice seeing henry again as used to watch him in the 90s, if henry is in it am watching.

Love your enthusiasm, completely addictive. Wrasse fishing is so underrated, its masses of fun. I have many lures to try out but not enough time or wrasse ground nearby. Keep the vids coming please - love em!

Since the day I first saw Henry catch a wrasse I wanted to catch one.
Since then I have had the pleasure of catching quite a few and absolutely love to catch them.
Such a beautiful fish.
I was lucky enough years later to catch a specimen fish, the one in my picture.

That was another belter Henry. I was doing something very similar near Dursey Island about 6 years ago,very deep water right in front,kicked a load of mussels off the rocks,as ground bait, and had one of the best days wrasse fishing I’ve ever had on the plastics 👍🎣🐟
Absolutely class video, love the hints, tips and humour, Henry is such a good advert for fishing and how it messes with your head, but, brings such joy! More of this type of stuff please, it is awesome.
Another great video. Reminded me how much fun I used to have as a kid, catching lots of wrasse and the occasional pollock from the rocks in Jersey. My bait was always, "red cat" aka rag worm. That Watermelon Red NED Salamander looks just like a fat, juicy wriggling rag worm with legs. Unsurprising it works so well. Will be order some and see if the wrasse and pollack like them here in North Wales.

They're some nice wrasse, and lovely action on that rod. That looks like typical Cork coastline? You really had to work at pulling those A-holes out of that B-hole.😂 .During video playback, did you notice that burst of bait fish across the surface behind you?
Another great video ! I’m surprised you didn’t give the smaller weedless minnow a go wrasse go mad for them and they don’t get damaged easily either !

I would like to know what you think of the rod I use few years old now but I don't get out as much as I would like for the bass. It's a savage gear 8ft bushwhacker 15/50 gram . I'm struggling to find lures to use with it . They all seem to be 12g to 22g range . Would you sell it and get a lighter rod for bass fishing ? I pair it with a okuma trio 30s srs ?

Even small wrasse put up a good fight. Ive caught a ballan just under 3lbs. My dream is to catch 5lb plus wrasse!!
