- Jurgen Klopp has led Liverpool to back-to-back Champions League finals. But how has he achieved this? Not long ago the club was floundering under Brenden Rodgers and Klopp changed that. In this video we look at how he revitalised Liverpool.

Klopp's Original Dortmund Tactics: ua-cam.com/video/TxjsdXBFV2k/v-deo.html
Hi
Brendon is a genius he sold Suarez to get origi to win us the Ucl
Proper long term planner he is
Underrated comment +1
Suarez can't score goals from corners which are taken quickly
@@ahmedashour1433 best comment in the history of commenting. Hats off
Suárez won UCL with barza...so he does not care about
Before JK came to Liverpool he was already one of best coach in football. The problem was. The media attention he got in Dortmund is much less than in UK.
7 years in Mainz.
Promotion to Bundesliga.
7 years in Dortmund.
2 Championship and 1 DFB-Pokal.
Defeated Pep many times who was regarded as the best coach in the world.
Another Problem was MONEY.
Imagine him in Dortmund with all the money he had at disposal like in Liverpool. He could build one of the best team in Dortmund ever
(Hummels - Gündogan - Götze - Reus - Lewandwoski). Just to name a few.
In just 4 years he changed Liverpool to win the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!! He kept his promise to bring at least one silverware to Liverpool! That's big!
That's something PSG and Man City tried for a decade with billions of Euros destroying the market place.
Conclusion: Pep and Klopp were already worldclass coaches in the Bundesliga. With Klopp having more money to keep all his best players together he is building in Liverpool a dynasty. With his positive and humble attitude he is maybe the best coah in the world.
Liverpool are lucky to see his potential. The best transfer they made.
People forget he took Dortmund to a CL final just years after they were bankrupt and doing awfully bad in the league.
@@elbobinho Milner was a free
@@stratdaddy Ye, I think many people outside of Germany don't know how awful Dortmund was. Klopp was literally their last chance. The financial drop Dortmund was facing is nearly unimaginable for most.
This, so much this. I jumped somewhat late on the Klopp train (after he did analysis on TV for the National Team and then became Dortmund's manager), so I kinda missed the magic that he brought to Mainz. However, it was very clear from the beginning that he is indeed a very different kind of manager and that he's got the magic touch.
The way he TRANSFORMED Dortmund ("people think they won the Champions League in the 90s, they must have always been a top club" - this is very wrong... like you said, they were bankrupt) is stuff of legend.
Even in his last season, they played well for the most part, but they were constantly unlucky (having a million shots on goal that ended up on the crossbar, etc. / not getting penalties while their opponents ended up getting them, etc.). There is even a mini documentary about his last season that shows that numbers wise, they were doing really well (possession, won tackles, etc.), it just wasn't their season and they got extremely unlucky. He should be considered one of if not the best manager in the world. :-)
If you take into account what he does for the fanbase, it's not even close. I mean.. who's rooting for Pep Guardiola? ....
Why do people underestimate the greatness of sir Alex Fergusson? I value Klopp very very high but to say that he is the best manager in the world when looking at what that man has achieved and for how long has he been leading Manchester United is a bit...
Make no mistake i love Liverpool - but sir Alex is also considered one of the best coaches. Problems with Manchester only started to happen after he announced his retirement. Tell me a footballer's name that wasn't shocked when he read these news. No one could have actually believed that at first. Literally no one.
Well i just hope that Jurgen and his mentality maniacs will bring home one title - Premier League championship xD
And..we won champion league 2018/2019
Jurgen Klopp is our Hero
Allez Allez Allez
Congratulations Liverpool (I am a Chelsea fan). Klopp is an absolute genius if he had money like City he would have won the PL title too.Wish we had a manager like him very good and very funny

We went to PSG and Napoli, Belgrade Germany. When we went to the Allianz, Liverpool scored three!
Roma Barcelona who the fuck you tryn'a kid, cause we're the mighty Liverpool we're going to Madrid;

As a Borussia Dortmund Fan , i´m proud of what Jürgen has achieved with Liverpool! And since he goes to Liverpool, i´m a Liverpool Fan too! I liked Liverpool before, but i love it since Klopp is there! Klopp + Liverpool is the best combination, what football has to offer! The champions leaque title is the crowning of both! Best Transfer : Jurgen Klopp
No. John W Henry is the best transfer for Liverpool mate ✌
Klavan was a success as well, he wasn't a permanent fix, or the star player we needed, but he came in from Augsburg, as a fairly unknown player that was getting on in years and was a very solid defender in a time when our defense was terrible
Why did he buy van dijk and sell klavan
Cuz klavan wanted to give vdijk a chance
Agreed. Klavan was limited but capable and did what was required.

@@DuderinoDeux he's won trophies with BVB. Winning something with a small budget team is quite an accomplishment. He has taken liverpool to 2 CL finals and to a 2nd place in pl. If he had the backing of the big clubs who knows what he could've done
Among the best
@@DuderinoDeux in liverpool, yet.
@@DuderinoDeux 2 Bundesliga against the institution that is Bayern as well as a cup.
Hes only in his 3rd full season with Liverpool and might well end up with a European cup. Sounds awful.
DuderinoDeux he has won big trophies yes. But thats not the points. If you cant measure what Klopp has done at liverpool, in anything else than trophies, then you simply hate liverpool or hate klopp and have an agenda against them. He has genuinely made them a feared force. I cant recall a more complete Liverpool side ever. If they win the UCL final, he deserves to be mentioned among the besr managers in the world. Probably top 3.
i´m from germany, and believe me: jürgen klopp is the best thing that could have happen to liverpool. still nr. one in the premir league, nr. one in their cl-group, now playing the world club, and maybe bringing next year, after 30 yeras, the title back to liverpool. simpley outstanding ;-)
Klopp is a genius..he can manipulate all opponents tactics and he choose the perfects player for the games..
He's outstanding
@CONTRA
Yup, they better don't underestimate Spurs..this final gonna be a beast vs beast
A genius who can't show anything. Liverpool finished second with Branden Rodger and Liverpool fans never called him a genius. And they keep on praising Klopp for building a team with a small budget but when you look at the players he bought there is no difference from other teams. If winning something with a small budget makes a manager a genius then Claudia Ranieri should be called a genius with the Leicester team he won the EPL title.
@@tomodul2619 that's because Liverpool finished second solely because of Suarez he single handily got Liverpool to second with a help from sturridge and sterling. However their defence was absolutely awful, there was very little structure to that team or organisation by Rodgers. Liverpool's wins were based off of individual genius. This Liverpool team is based off of that aswell, but mainly it's how it's achieved. Klopp has turned pretty much every average player to looking like a world beater at times. Also klopp would have won the league any other time however it's unfortunate that he's facing one of the greatest pl league teams of all time man city. He's also unbeaten in a two legged European tie with Liverpool for years. And it's pretty much all down to him. Rodgers was a fluke year but we're seeing that klopp is no fluke.
@@tomodul2619 Rodgers never got 97 points aswell as getting to the final of the biggest club competition in football back to back. In fact nobody has ever got 97 points aswell has getting to the final of the biggest club competition in football ever before so......
Klopp turned Liverpool into a fearful powerhouse. Here in Germany for example people are scared to play against them in the CL. I guess its the same what people in Spain Italy France etc thinking. Yes LFC is back in the top 3
He's so good at making the team better than just their collective ability
@@FootballMadeSimple yes he gets every player on his side and everyone fights for him
And haven't won a league title in decades! Top 3 lmao
@@DuderinoDeux Really? CL winners, 3rd highest points tally in PL history. Credit where credit is due...
A trophy since 2012! NO TROPHY for points tally btw. But you'd probably take that if it existed!
Champions of Europe they now are, you analysis was done slightly too early, but I’m sure you can modify, well done
And now the transformation is complete
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Nothing is ever complete, this is Klopp. No signs of slowing down now.
We need a midfielder
o yeah yeah yeah without any videos We don’t ‘NEED’ anyone per say. But it all depends on what’s happening behind the scenes if we have players departing then we have holes to fill. If we’re getting a new midfielder we need to go all out and buy a superstar KDB type of guy who can and will tie the entire team together. Someone who can do everything and can work with the back and the front.
Not complete till they get the league I think.
If that was the case and the transformation was complete, Klopp would leave Liverpool in 2020.
People still dont believe it but Klopp is interested in development rather than trophies. Trophies are just the result of it. The moment he realises that he cant achieve any more progress for a club, he leaves.
The best video about Klopp's Liverpool in youtube. The summary of transfers was very interesting.
Thanks so much!
None of his big transfers were flops.Mane, Salah, Alisson,Virgil.Robertson absolute bargain. And he made a loss of only 120 million € over his three seasons. If only Emery could do something even remotely close to that at Arsenal. But he‘s not as good as Klopp and we don‘t have the same financial resources.Because we don‘t have UCL, no players we could sell to Barca for 140 million€ like Coutinho and players that earn way too much for their bad performances cough cough Özil we won‘t get off our wage bill.
DeutscherMeister S04 Actually he made a loss of 100 Million €. But crazy if you think that Chelsea made a loss of 230 Million and Man Udt 340 Million € 😂
It's the players that make the team, not the coach ⚽✔💰
@@royalbluegooner3921 how about Karius?🤔
the real question is: What did we do to deserve him?
liverpool is the one of most iconic club in the world
ua-cam.com/video/CJHo0TUKYVE/v-deo.html
@misterlakota That something is called their fans.
Don't support them when they win if you don't support them when they lose
"What we did to get him" was to avoid telling him that our club is like the Disneyland of football, unlike a certain rival club. lol
Insightful & fascinating analysis you did there man. I'd like to add more on the pressing, something i observed from Klopp's evolution is that he realized our players didn't need to press always as it left them prone to injuries and fatigue at the business end of the Season. He also made sure the set up of the team was always narrow without the ball and the midfielders were always close to the defenders to help neutralize counter attacks and loose balls, this also led to a reduced number of shots & goals conceded
Great Observation!
It would seem that Klopp has transformed the team from focusing on just individual player performance for success to focusing on the team tactical collaboration. What a great mentality. Thanks for the analysis.
Don't blame klopp for Liverpool's transformation if any⚽✔💰👎😩
Klopp is a very, very clever manager..What really impresses me is that (prior to his appointment) i had him down as a very good manager but a bit of a one trick pony, in terms of mad pressing & great attacking play but not much else but...Wow... How he has evolved (tactically) along with the team is just fantastic to see.. He realized that as a team we needed to be multi faceted and needed much more control of games ..Press when needed..Control when needed..Counter when needed... These facets make us a much more dangerous team to predict and to combat and the most amount of credit to Klopp for that..YNWA
He's definitely become more dynamic in his tactics. It's true that at dortmund they pretty much had one tactic
There are also hidden elements of Klopp's style such as the rapport he builds up within the team. Two examples I've noticed are the rapport between Klopp and TAA and also with VVD. It means that often he doesn't need to say anything (or the other way round) - they just know. This is actually an old LFC strength under Shankly/Paisley which Klopp has reintroduced. It makes LFC very dangerous because they work like a machine.
Same simon i thought he was a bit of a one trick pony but hes totaly transformed and evolved each season and a bit more pragmatic now i like the way hes learned from his misstakes
I think it's fair criticism that he "mostly" was a one-trick pony in the past. I mean, Dortmund was more or less "unstoppable" the first number of years (around 4), but then everybody else had caught up and you'd see opposing managers coming up with strategies that could help against Klopp's aggressive style. That's when Dortmund started to falter, at least a little.
He was still successful, but to a much lesser degree.
It's very interesting to see him showing more variation now, it's actually something I hadn't paid enough attention to, so thanks for your comment and of course the great video for shining more of a light on it. :-)
I think the signing of firmino was overlooked slightly, such an essential part of the team being a stapel for klop scince he first arrived
Firmino is defnitely vital but he joined just before Klopp arrived
@@FootballMadeSimple Yeah, Brenda signed him, we had heard a great deal about him, then BR wouldn't play him, wtf!!!
@@silvergtotwinturbo9984 Rodgers actually played Bobby but as a Wingback. Terrible thing to do.
@@prime6253 That never happened. He played as a winger, yes, but never a wingback.
The moment he came to Liverpool, I knew that atleast one english club will compete in Europe and now Liverpool has played three European competitions under klopp in 3 and a half year and played 3 finals.something any manager or club will dream in current capitalist football market. Seems like a success to me and hopefully will lift the trophy this time.

Your video shows that Klopp is a master student of the game...his new chargers brought the change required and fitted beautifully into his vision....praise should also go to Liverpool's scouts who must have played a huge role in bringing about klopps vision...
I like what Liverpool is doing. They don't focus on one individual but work as a team
Very precise. It's only when you lay down these contexts, the overjoyed, emotional, bearded face gets fully appreciated. This manager completely understands this generation of football players. His friendly image in the media and connection to the fans makes the players, who are mostly raised in the age of social media connection, feel at home and understood.

Klopp has been amazing and then some. We’re still a couple of players short, a quality left back as back up for Robertson, an attacking midfielder who can assist and score Erickson (will be available on a free) or there’s Maddison from Leicester or even Minamino from Salzburg. More dead wood Will shift when Lallana contract finishes, Henderson is a big weak link and needs to be sold (Not quite sure what he does or ever will do). A striker who can be an impact substitute and score and challenge the front three as Origi isn’t to the right level, so Salzburg’s Haaland or Timo Werner would be perfect additions. Selling Lovren and replacing them with either Alderweld or Vertongen from Tottenham would be both free and an upgrade too. The signings of Erickson, Alderweild and Werner would cost £27m, selling Lovren, Henderson, Karius, And Origi would give us around £70m, selling Shaquiri and bringing back Wilson could also be an option whilst swelling our coffers to another £25m. That would not just take Klopp’s net spend to minus but also improve the squad massively too. YNWA
We all know how it went for Karius….
Yes, hd got punched in the face, because of that he made some mistakes in an important game and continued with mistakes after that.
