Just a thank you for the video. Simple stuff shown in a simple way and really appreciate the effort gone to here so us first timers get it right first time. Keep it up!
I am putting a set of T-drag handle bars on my 99 Ace. The bars DO NOT have a location hole for the clam shells. How is the best way to mark and drill the correctly?
Thanks for the video's they really help so much I built my first bobber around 6 years ago and bought several parts from you all I was very happy with everything I'm building a new one now and will purchase parts from you guys again love from Orlando
hey my friend!! ill probably just email you so i know you get this!! Happy New Year to you and the family. hard to believe i was your first customer!! I was bugging you for parts for my VLX600 before you even had your stock finished!!! I still have the VLX with your Drag bars, rear fender and side mount caddy light!! I had to change the seat to a body mounted 9x11.I lowered the rear 3inches with the Hard tail kit and the seat works better for me low.it feels like ape hangers almost.lol..I also made a open element K&N sode draft crb intak with the the breather at the end of the runner+ i gained 9hp.I won best metric 600cc BOBBER as well as best paint 3 times "Kandy Apple Violet". I got that 04 VLX IN 09 with 500 miles from a Yamaha dealer in mint shape for $2000. i rode it from Denver to Dallas 4 times and all over Colorado,New Mexico,Kansas and Arizona. its got 67,000 miles on it now and still runs like a Champ.I got a few more bikes since we talked. I Bobbed out a 03 ACE 750.I used the first seat I got from you"black leather" and i frame mounted that one and put 9 1/2 inch StreetRays Hard tail 4inch lowering kit on the rear.my girlfriend ordered a pair of wide drag bars from you,i left the stock rear fender but cleaned up the fender and only have an R1Led tail/brake light with a small LED white light for the plate. ditched the turn signals as i did on the VLX ,removed the front fender,I put a 39 tooth sprocket on it instead of the 41T. It will do 121mph now. I had the spokes done in heavy black gloss with brass begs, zinc chain, blacked out the jugs and pillion chrome and as i said used as much bras and brass plated pieces as i could to make the House of Kolours Kandy Apple Green pop i had it sprayed with. ove won best paint in 7 of 9 shows as well as most unique/eye catching. I now have a Triumph Thruxton as well as a BMW R1200. Thanks for everything and i hope you read this!! You made building a Bobber a reality for me and becausecof you Im proud of what i can build. i dont build for anyone but me. ill get in touch and tell about other projects im working on.Cheers Colin.ps I didnt say your name out of privacy so dont think i forgot it!:) Colin Brown
nice build. These bars were on the build that I bought a while ago. I got into an accident on another bike, and I was thinking of getting something a little less aggressive. any suggestions? Also, I need to find some tank mounts, mine have been well worn and there is a bit of play.
Hi , this is a great video thanks for that , I just have a question, I’m planning to put a Monster handlebars on my Shadow Spirit , my concern that the control area on the bar is a bit short , can I install it like that or should I weld an extension to the control area, in other words does the bar need to slide all the way into the grip ? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Does the throttle grip just slide right off the handle bar ? You didn't show that. I wanna keep my original grips. This video made me feel like I might have to take it in to get it done.
I have the same questions. Because I swapped my bars today and now the bike acts weird when speeding up. It kinda has no pull at some moment anymore. Can this be because of weird new position of clutch wire?
I've broke 3 screw drivers trying to get the chrome caps off the risers. They Dont just come right off like everyone says. And it's pissing me off that I can't find a video of anyone showing how to do it.
sickONE1121 No, that's the cool thing about the Biltwell grips. The Honda's have a smooth throttle tube and Biltwell has you install the grip using WD-40. It's simple and fast! We also include written instructions with the grips. Thanks, Lance @ BCB
Excellent video. I especially liked the music playing in the background, BOSTON is still a favorite band of mine. Your video is great for its step by step instructions. I've been away from wrenching for a few years, oh the things a little death can cause a guy right? LMAO! Wado is how we Cherokees say thank you. 🪶🪶🤙👍😎
This is one of the best install videos I’ve seen , thank you so much good sir !

Great video. I was stuck redirecting my cables to shorten slack. This helped a ton. Thanks.
These videos are incredibly great
Really nice video I love the way you explain stuff 😁👍👍

This is the best video ....remove and replace handle bar job

Are you redirecting the cables to make the install cleaner or to have enough length? How do I know if I need to re-route the cables? Thank you!

Hi. Can you tell how it affects comfort and steering? Does it anyhow?
Karol C. Hi Karol, please email bluecollarbobbers@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest.
It is a whole different feel

Did you ever remove them
Grazie ❤
thank you so much for that video. very helpfull.
+Max Koporski Thank you for the nice comment, Max!
if u put 5 inch risers and then a dragbar, will it have a problem with the wiring system ( not long enough )?
You shouldn't. Did you try it out?? Couple years late on this one lol
What diameter are those bars, and where did you get those risers?
1 inch and the risers are stock.
Do u guys sell a lowering kit for the Ace?
Sal
Does anyone no how many inches I can go with mini apes on a 750 ace without having to buy extended clutch cable and the other cables
Do both trottle cams come with the avon grips? Need the same one you used, but cant see it on the pictures when purchasing the grips..?
Yes the throttle cam has openings for both cables. Thanks, Lance
I have a 89 shadow 600, wondering what is the bar size (diameter)? Thanks.
+Ricmar Rigonan Hi Ricmar, the diameter of our drag bar is 1".
What was the last year of the shadow Ace?
Hi Coby, our kits will fit ANY year Ace 750. It looks like 2003 was the last year, as far as we can tell.
With the Biltwell grips you guys are selling now, would we have to remove the throttle housing to install new Bitwell grips?
