I have the problem, that I only see a flat grid without my spectrum although it should be applied. Ive been struggling with karma ocean issues for 20h straight in total. So Im a bit frustrated. I watched so many videos. Every video about karma oceans including masks etc. I need to increase dicing a lot to even see my ocean spectrum. However, no matter if a grid works or not. I need to apply the spectrum on a flip mesh which also gets masks etc. That ends up in a long long long initialization, so I consider mantra faster at this point. But even if I try mantra is continuously saying "processing displacement geometry". So I decreased my spectrum resolution although I even tried this in karma before + packed my flip mesh. What should I try now? Any ideas? I would really appreciate any tiny bit of help.

I had some glitches too. For example, one frame would ignore the fluid and volume and render only the whitewater volume. Then the next few frames would ignore the whitewater and only render the fluid elements. The final render looked like a strobe effect switching between whitewater and water. The object stayed constant.
@@MarvelousMediaEngine hey if you have this issue I solved it by rendering points as uniform volume - rather than using the rasterised volume, which I would have preferred.
Do you guys think you could make this tutorial but for MaterialX. I really want to render on my 3080 and my 10700k has a hard time with volumes. Cheers
Does anyone know how to bind the vorticity and velocity to basecolor if you are using the shelf generated basic liquid material. I see how he binded them into his coreshader, but the default liquid shader that is created with the shelf tool looks so much different.
big fat beefy cpu and lots of ram ought to do the trick, also a bigger hdd or ssd wouldnt be bad, and while youre at it you can also upgrade your gpu. basically if youre asking these types of questions youll probably need to upgrade your whole rig lol

Well I tried, it's definitely not for everyone. Still very slow on my CPU, kinda enjoyable on XPU with some previewUSD shader, I don't know what else I could use; many things doesn't work with XPU so without a very powerful CPU I'd better give up on this

SOLVED: in a recent version they did some cleaning on the sopsolver1/attribwrangle1 node thus there is a unrecognized parameter. you can delete that popobject node and rebuild it since you probably updated your H19 version while the project is older.
With your videos my learning curve will shrink drastically. Thank you.

as of version 20.0 you have to use the houdinioceanprocedural node, to preview in viewport place a houdinipreviewprocedurals node

We recommend using a computer with 32gb ram, but you are able to still use it with smaller than that. It just will take longer. Cheers!

Try saving the render grid, it's probably looking for the displacement map
