Gloria deserved so much better. She should've been like a Diana Ross caliber of star.. She had the pipes, the looks, the style, and everything else to back it up.. I wish she had gotten more recognition, because nowadays who hasn't heard "Tainted Love"? And she gets no credit for that.. She was such a fabulous artist, and had such a unique and beautiful voice, I wish she had had the right people (people who were really looking out for her) taking care of her career.. I think Marc was probably the only person who really took her career seriously.. And she flourished, and created beautiful, touching, soulful, amazing music with him.. I just wish they had more time together, and that Gloria had the chance to really display her talents.. Because Miss Gloria Jones is one of those epic (forgotten) diva's that deserved recognition and was never afforded the chance.. Life is so unfair.
Did you know that she did the "Original" Version of "Tainted Love" that Soft Cell took to Number One and to this day was in the Hot 100 longer than any other song in Pop Music History. In the UK alot of Boy Bands/Girl Groups do cover versions of Songs that were obscure to their knowledge. For example Take That did their Version of "It Only Takes A Minute" originally done by The Tavares and The UK Girl Group did a cover version of "See The Day" originally done by a Singer named DC Lee who was a One Hit Wonder in the 1980's.
I just love her,, I remember she did back up for Concert for Bangladesh with George H.. She was amazing off the charts in Hair. Wow all loved everything about her,, I know there is still a Gloria Fan club!!!!!
these rare videos made me realize that black community has build usofa for white settlers and then they were singing for white settlers and now is the time of BLM and they are finaly throwing out the statues of racism

Gloria Jones was an excellent singer she deserved more credit
I saw her live in mid 1970s in The Ritz club, All-Dayer in Manchester England. She rocked the house that day.
Always like playing the original vinyl of this with the bass up way high, classic Northern Soul stomper
When spasms, seizures, & uncontrollable muscle and head movements was the dance moves!
Sounds like you haven't had much fun.
The girls wiggle while the boys sit and clap. In the meantime Gloria rocks the house.
Gloria Jones ❤ Marc Bolan

Great vid Dundee
Ah, the go-go years...
She's okay and classy, the other ones behind her squirms as demon possessed or bite by a spider.
Dusty’s version is better. This is great too.
