Shang is a teenage orphan that was recruited by a guild of thieves to enter the fighting layer tournament to steal the riches of vold ignitio. I hope Shang doesn't get killed by the guild knowing that he failed to get the riches.
Strangely enough, he looks similar to Kairi from the Street Fighter EX games and Fighting EX Layer. Maybe Arika just likes cool guys with white hair and a long ponytail?
This reminds me of Ace's theme, Harem Beat, from Street Fighter EX3 and the credits theme of Street Fighter EX2. I know that those games and Fighting Layer were developed by ARIKA and share composers.
