Put the throttle to #3 on transmitter. There’s 3 settings. On 2s it goes 23mph. I have the Hyundai
It was on 3.... NiMH is not good for Brushless. I’ll speed run it on Lipo for the next video. 23mph is ballistic! Can't wait to try it!
I think I'll stick to the stock battery. Mine was fast enough in the small space I used it in! I was a bit surprised at the speed in the video.
Hard to find a 2s that fits. Smallest I found is a 400 mah 30c. It just fits wit a little muscle
@@TomleyRC when running on lipo, watch out for the diff gear. They can easily worn out in 2s.
I have one, my friend had one while I kept running on 1s and been running no problem even today, my friend went on 2s and break it. The parts are not easy to find in South Korea (because of the official shipper dont care about it anymore) so he throw it to the bin.
Yea I can't imagine it lasting long on 2s , like tomley said that's ballistic for that.
I have the Subaru 1999 WRC and this thing is absolute bonkers. Faster than the 1/24 mini-z buggy but requires more finesse in control. Very fun and durable.
Hi random citizen, can you please check dimensions for me ... I want to buy only body and in the pdf manual I found that wheelbase is 119mm, total length is 180mm and width 107mm (I assume it is without side mirrors) the problem is that various websites provide way too much different dimensions info. I would be so grateful, thanks.
When the Mini crawlers came out, I bought a few of them and after a while I got bored because they weren't great outside, and I didn't have the room or patience to make an indoor track. I think I'd run into the same issues with these and they'd end up collecting dust. They do look like fun, but without a dedicated area I think they'd be a fad. Still enjoyed the vid. I20 FTW
A little dirt rally track would be awesome... but yeah, space required!
No way, this car is fun in small and large space. The 1-3 throttle limit does a great job.
This is a good replacement for the discontinued LOSI 24 micro rally!
I was thinking the same thing those were a blast
I really dig the Escort 👍 As someone from the States, we unfortunately didn't get that awesome "little mota" as you would say. 😁 I think we really missed out to be honest.
Hello John gotta new motor hello John gotta new motor " 🎶 ALEXIS SAYLE 🇬🇧
A couple of those on a tennis court would be a blast, i Like that hatchback, she's colorful lol
Yes... would be awesome!
Love the old Fords the mk2 escort is my favourite but the Subaru is still a fantastic car to this day and most modern performance cars struggle to keep with it you where a lucky boy testing those. Looking forward to see all three running.
Yes, Subarus have a good following.. and there are some really nice examples out there!
@@TomleyRC quick question are you a fan of hpi don't think I've heard you mention them. No one seems to do any reviews on hpi personally I think they are a good brand
That escort takes me back to my old road rally days , needs some minilites wheels , the scooby does look boss, they would Go very well on a tarmac tennis court , Wimbledon is only two weeks long then they'll be loads of courts to run em in, another great review , keep banging them out mate that 50k can't be far away ☠️
Haha... centre court of course!
For those of us of a certain age, it's got to be the 'Escort'. But I agree! The Hyundai looks great. 👍🏻
Yes... iconic Rally car 😎👌
My mum had a few lol
Looks pretty awesome and did better than I expected on the dirt , maybe if they had some body trimming like you said and some little aggressive knobbied up buggy tires and four or five friends on a little homemade track in the yard . Hell yeah that could catch on quick !
I really like the Ford escort. Sharp looking
I like these! Sound really torquey! The escort is my favorite. I Don’t think it’s too gimmicky. I think once these catch on they’ll be a big hit! If they can get more licenses for different bodies that would be absolutely wicked!👍🏻👊🏼😎
Yes agree. I’d like to make a little 1/24 rally track for them at some point.
would love to see an evo!
I think its easy to forget about running cost when looking at the initial price. While they may seem a little dear for a tiny RC, once you've got it that's pretty much it as it doesnt have the inertia to really get any damage other than scratching. If you compare it to cheaper "toy grade" rc's which as soon as yiu break them they go in the bin, you're getting a good deal and much more fun.
Got the GT24B (the buggy version) for three, almost four years now
and I still use it in the circuit I built for the Mini_Z and the Atomic Amz ones in the attic. I have not had any problem with it, it's fast, cool, durable and super-fun to drive. But it comes with a full side transmitter (same model that comes with the Carisma M10DB, a pretty good desert buggy, you should try it).
Those micro rally cars are attracting my attention, surely I will acquire them too. Great video, as usual. Thanks!
$129.99 USD for the 22B with a brushless system? What a steal these days. Thanks for the review!
Battery life is about 5 minutes though, keep that in mind
I like the looks of the Escort.
I raced one of these a few years ago when they first came out it was the GT24R version. My local onroad track at the time had a one off fun meeting which was basically run anything 1:10th or smaller. I ran it with the upgraded lipo battery and upgraded shocks it came with a 3.7v lipo as standard. It was pretty fast the biggest issue I had was that our track had seen better days and it was a little bumpy in sections, it struggled in the high speed bumpy corners, good fun though 😃
well that has made the dirt/grass track I have started
building in the back garden all the more worthwhile!
Sounds awesome!
@@TomleyRC great for getting rid of lawn moss too!
Great for messing around with in the house and racing others with different models
Escort for me.Had loads of them in the 80's.Bought them for twenty or thirty quid, ran them them for a few months, then scrapped them.If only we knew what an icon they would be.
Yeah... wish I’d kept some of my cars back then as well!
Speed and power
I got the Hyundai about a month ago. Only used it in a fairly empty office floor space. Very fast and drove it straight into a solid metal table leg which squashed the front of the body in. It popped out but front of the bonnet now has a lovely crease line! Ordered the Subaru this morning and should arrive tomorrow.
Who sells them in the U.S bro??
@@bangurhead4027 Mine was from a UK shop. The carisma shop link at the the top sells them. Not sure if they are sent from the US though, I think it might be Hong Kong?
I can’t believe it drove over that drain no problem.
Yes... pretty good!
nice review thanks. Might be another load of money you have persuaded me to part with! so far you've inspired me to spend over a grand! manufacturers should reward you 👍🍺
Haha... wish I got commission from all my sales 😅
Omg I just picked up the Subaru yesterday with my EXB. I don’t if I can watch before running mine!!! 👊👊👊👍👍
Haha
My dear old dad had a turbo legacy in the late 90s and it could move!
It's gotta be the escort for me, I like these and may have to get me and my little girl one to race on rainy days indoors
I eventually got around to buying one and I'm very impressed with it, it's quite fast for a 1/24 scale.
Even faster with a 2s Lipo... video coming soon
Id love a licensed Escort/Cosworth as a shelf princess. That's really sweet for small scale...and for that deadly mini Group B rally' action! 😈😜👍 Great for Winter/Rain Kitchen racing lol.
Escort Cosworth would be awesome 😎👌
I like the Scooby-Doo, very tempted.
Thanks for making this video i had no idea tjey made the subaru! I worked for honda, mitsubishi and suzuki,
Awesome 😎👌
Awesome little rc's. Good for chasing the cat. Videos are excellent, definitely one of my favorite channels.
Haha... cheers dude
PS, I loved top gear up version….good show
😎
Little mini rally cars is cool full stop. 👊🏼
Pretty awesome little cars, Tomley! 😃
Honestly, anyone would be great to have! They remember me of an old rally game I had for PC that came with a magazine's CD... It was really fun! 😃
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Yes, all three are very nice 😎👌
Food afternoon kind sir.
Gonna have to get the carisma GTR NOW LOL.
Thanx for the inspiration.
Saving up for that escort looks awsome
Instant fan. Take my money
These upgraded to larger pinion and better motor will be fun!
The kit comes with 12,13,14 pinion gears and tbw there isn't much difference. But using lihv will.
Agggggggg my list of things to get is now even longer.... lol 😆🤣
Hahaha
GT24RS is best looking IMO. Of course we never had this beautiful car in Canada. You UK guys have all the fun! 🇨🇦🥓
That was cool to watch! More nice cars to buy, hum... Thanks!
They are awesome 😱👋
Use the little eflite micro flyer batteries, we use to stick them in micro t’s, and micro shortcourses
I need that wrx lol thanks for sharing
No probs Jim
The Escort is rally nice.
You can get 1s drone batteries to fit them I use them in my nitro car as well
I've been hesitant to buy one for a while since the last model came out so long ago. Figured parts might discontinue soon. So this is great news, I think I have to get one!
I think the i20 would be my pick, dont really have a place for it as I love my k989
Hey that K989 is pretty cool man, I've got one of the GoolRc "Drift Shark"s, S 918 it's a similar chassis. Goes faster than 15 though.👍💯
I20 looks the best 😎👌
these go way faster than 12mph. nano-tech 2s 300mAh 45-90c. fit perfectly. indoor speed1, outdoor speed 3. so much fun. they jump nicely. thoughtful turn management outdoors on speed 3 is a requirement. they are quick!
Yes.... realised I’d not fully charged the battery. Another speed video coming soon with a 2s Lipo
i have loads of those 18 th and 24th scale crawler i have 17 of them lol but like this ill prob get a few look quite fun great vid!
Thanks Brad
It is so cute on dirt
For this size
I like the looks and all but i might go for a bigger scale
I thought I miss heard you when I heard 8000KV and had to play it back haha im getting that mk1 escort right now great video tomley
Yes... and apparently crazy on Lipo!
@@TomleyRC I bet m8 there aint much to them is there I love the mk1 escorts so ill be adding one to my collection 👍
I absolutely love'em, and don't know why, but that escort would look good next to my scx24 C-10. I believe that they will be very popular.
Would look good with some other 1/24 stuff 😎
I really like the Ford Escort. I think that'll be the next one on my list.
Escort and Subaru look good.
Priced to high, just buy wltoys then mod it with brushless and dumbo rx etc…lots more option…but i really do like these bodies, looks really nice!
Yeah not the cheapest... but certainly fun to be had!
Hello ! My favorite is without a doubt the Subaru STI! Normal, I have WRX STI from 2011! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁. Very nice vidéo ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Intresting toy car! Perhaps I will get one. =)
Gt 24 is my favorite keep up the great work man
Cheers dude
Cool little RCs but loving that watch dude I used to have the black version back in the Day! 😁👌
Almost 50k! Keep it up!! Great vid as always sir.
Cheers dude
Subaru is definitely my favourite. I might get one.
Look fun . with buddy's. To play.
I would definitely go with the i20! Great video!
Thanks dude. Yeah, looks really nice!
@TomleyRC would you consider either doing a video or writing up some options for improving control on this unit? It's been really hard to find specifics on upgrade paths for the servo and ESC.
Thanks!
cool rally cars and nice run brother
Cheers dude
They're cool but 1/18 is about as small as I like. I'd love to see these in 1/18 or 1/16th scale, they look incredible.
Bro trust me the smaller the better with RC’s.. brushless motor technology is currently emerging that will allow for ridiculously fast lipo brushless micro/nano rc cars that achieve absurd scale speed
In order to reach the same scale speed as a 200mph 1/8 scale a 1/24 scale would only have to hit 66 mph which would look like an utter violation of physics to the eye in action
They are all my favorite.
i feel like these are the future of rc cause i live in sc an theres no drift tracks with in 10 hours of me theres a few dirt, oval, and asphault tracks out there but thats about it. i wish i had the money to start a bussiness cause if i started a rc store with a drift/ off road course for 1/10 an 24 scale i could make a good bit of money. this is speculation i know i love rc. but that one track close to my house is packed on race day
Yep, A guy here in my home town in Australia is currently designing 3 permanent tracks (1 indoor, 2x outdoor) There certainly is a market for such venues as the hobby is making a massive comeback here with the technology available. You would pack it out mate and make decent money while having maximum job satisfaction.
@@Top-Jimmy righhhtttt🤙🏼 and ain’t that what it all about!!
I love these and want one only issue is what one do i choose 🤣🤣🤣
Watched the video excellent as always. Then did a websearch for 1/24 slot car bodies.
Evil laugh goes here.....
Oh... good idea!
nice watch!
I want the Escort it's really cool
Lol these are cool aren’t they, the scooby is my favourite, when you said 8000kv motor my jaw dropped a bit lol but as you said mate 12mph they are definitely geared quite low, I think they are a bit pricey though considering, but I bet two of them racing together would be great fun.. happy rcing mate 👍
I used a partially charged battery. Fully charged now, so will do a test against and Lipo. Good for 20mph so I’ve been told 😎
These are my favorite I have them all
Sti drift is my favorite
And getting close to that 50k...only 1.1k left....woohoo.
I'm gonna buy this soon!
Great cars. To get a brushless car at this price, it's a steal. The mini z buggy costs twice as much and twice as slow.
I got the buggy kit and comes with lipo. I run lihv 350mah for extra kick. Max battery size is 500mah. Only thing you need to get are the steering rods. The stock ones are four thin flimsy pieces of plastic which will bind over time. Optional oil shocks are nice but fragile. DIY a wide PP plastic bumper so you don't go replacing A arms often.
There is also an optional 12k motor but it will strip your diffs. Tried a 15k motor and burnt the esc.
Love the look of the Rally i20! But at $200AUD that’s a bit much for it to sit on the shelf 😂
Yeah... not the cheapest of things
I was also a mechanic for Subaru, P1 was the best Scooby I ever drove
P1’s were awesome... and worth a bit now!
I remember my first day on the job, I got to work on one and road test it 👌🏻
RC4WD makes a 320mah that fits very nicely
These look abselutely epic!!!
These look amazing 🤟🤙
😎👌
You are getting close to your 50k number of subscribers. Keep up the great work!
Graphics on the i20 is awesome!
I like them all. Gonna research the one you said is most popular in UK. I've seen them in TV, but don't know that car at all, besides it does have a cute ferocious look I dig
Mk1 Escort is an iconic rally car in the UK
@@TomleyRC ohh yes its definitely iconic I remember watching this car on every rally show and thinking this is the Shelby Cobra of the UK lol well now this comparison just got complicated 😅 🤣
I just don't know anything about its powertrain. I'm researching rn
When I bought the first model at least 5 years back, maybe more, and started to drive it with full throttles and brakings, the spur gear destroyed became bold after a few seconds. I don't know if they have changed something now, but back then, it was a trash. They had brass pinion gear with tiny teeth's and simple plastic spur gear. They were very fragile.
About the same speed as the stock Mini-T 2.0 from Losi.
Would definitely be cool to race these!
23mph on Lipo apparently! 👌
Of course I want that MK1 Escort. I haven't given up on getting a real yet. Hell I own 2 MK1 Ford Focus cars. Just to have any MK1 British Ford.
Hi phil ive had a few of them in my younger days and wish i could get my hsnds on 1 now best car ford ever made lol
I have the Subaru love it it's fast take it to the skate park what a blast👍💥
O yeah really cool cool cars 💯
On a carpet race platform with lipo batteries they would be super fun and great for kids to learn how to race without breaking the bank
Yes... I expect they are much better in that environment 😎🤟
You would think that the lexan body is interchangeable for all 3 cars since they are all the same chassis. Take a better look at thoss front body posts, especially the subaru. Note the small wheel clearance to the fenders. It is also hard to make them go straight on the throttle, no matter how liitle or much the trim adjustment, it never really solves that problem
Ordered the Escort this morning, then your video dropped. Looking forward to tinkering with it. I thought these did about 20mph too. Maybe run the cable out the top and velcro a 2s onto the chassis?
Yes... they do about 20ish. I used a partially charged battery. Will be doing another speed video this weekend
I love them :-)
Escort and scooby for me.😃🤙👍
OMG Phil you keep making me spend money.... 💲💲💲
Haha... sorry Bro
