What a roller-coaster of less than a decade for Kathy! Trump issue, addiction, rehab, lung cancer, divorce. Im glad to see her clean and hope things are peaceful and less painful now. ❤
Kathy is a legend. I used to watch her on Bravo growing up. What a fantastic episode
Kathy Griffin is the blueprint for anyone who stands up for themselves against a corrupt person or system. Her courage is truly unmatched in comedy.
Zelensky comes to mind, defending Ukraine against P-man. Comedians deserve respect.
Not really. She is an exception. Most people who stand up against corruption get silenced, assaulted, killed or permanently outlawed.
Kathy was robbed of her own livelihood, put in the No Fly List, Doxxed, relentlessly harassed, had her family viciously harassed, investigated by the Department of Justice, all for a ridiculous reason of posing in a photo with a Halloween mask with ketchup on it.
What a powerhouse of an episode! The conversation was smooth, honest, warm and supportive. Very affirming and very much touched my girl soul to the core.
Kathy is such a delight! Happy she was on the episode.

This episode is everything I love - I watched Kathy's specials obsessively as a teenager and college student, and now as a thirty-something I've watched Trash Tuesday since the (Bloodbath) beginnings. Incredible conversation here, somehow both hilarious and deeply moving. Love these women

I could cry. Most of my family knows I'm a die hard Kathy Griffin fan since 2006. She has been such an inspiration for me. And her talking about her parents. When her dad died was hard. Knowing more about Maggie's dementia. I had to go through it with multiple family members. Anyways so much more I want to say but I will end it with I love misses Kathy ❤️

I’ve always loved Kathy Griffin’s reality show and stand up specials and hearing her honesty and transparency on a podcast is making this one of my favorite episodes of trash tuesday. I’m only 23 mins in and this episode is so fucking funny and I’ve gotten teared up a couple times hearing her experience with attempting suicide and cancer. Kathy is brave to share her story and unbelievably talented that she can make those topics funny. I can’t stress enough how much I love this episode and I love you, Kathy Griffin 💗

Dang im proud of Kathy. After the cancer she went through and the past few years, it's amazing how she went through her withdrawals. It's almost like she did it for penance.
This woman is a light in a rough world, and i'm glad she didn't let anyone dim it. Sending prayers and love to Kathy. I hope she will find her way to Jesus, because it will give her strength and peace.

On the subject of "closure", people need to reassess what closure means to them. You can absolutely have closure with someone without them giving you the answers you want.
You get closure by reclaiming YOUR power and taking it back from the abuser. You gain closure by acknowledging that your abuser will never change for you. You do not need them to validate your pain bc they never will. You claim your pain back and gain closure by acknowledging the abuser is NOT worthy of having ANY control over your feelings. YOU decide to close the door on them permanently. YOU decide that your abuser is NOT welcome on your journey of healing so you don't need them. You free yourself. You give yourself permission to move on.
