Ford didn’t want to talk with them because at the end of the last episode he and Stan made a deal where Stan would keep living in the shack til the end of the summer to take care of the kids, if Ford doesn’t get the kids involved with the supernatural weirdness of Gravity Falls.
Older editions of Dungeons & Dragons had a lot more math and complicated rules than the current edition (5th), so don't let that keep you away from playing D&D. I highly recommend you watch Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. As someone who's played D&D since the 80s, it's everything I ever wanted in a D&D movie, and it really feels so much like playing a good D&D campaign with friends. Everyone I know who's watched it has loved it, whether they've ever played D&D or not.
If your interested in D&D, I highly recommend 'The Legend of Vox Machina' it's an ADULT animated series based on and created by Critical Role (famous voice actors who stream their d&d campaigns)
I don't play DnD but some other pen&paper systems, learning how to handle some things can be some math but just learning it. Once you understand the concepts you can have a lot of fun in pen&paper without that much math.
The Dice for D&D are 4,6,8,10,12, and 20 sided. No actual 38-sided ones (or more). And if you're looking for more fun (but more adult, perhaps) D&D content, I think you'd like the animated series Vox Machina. [And the nerdiest, most math-friendly D&D is the earliest 2 or 3 versions. The latest version is much more accessible for folks that don't like math.]
The best way to play dungeons and dragons is to play with people who don't take it too seriously. It's fun, my profile picture is my d&d character with his Apeling friend
"Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons": I'd heard of the "Dungeons and Dragons" game, but no one in my circle of friends played the game. Beware the "Infinity-sided Dice"!
Honestly, especially the newer editions of D&D are not all that math-y, at least compared to the older ones. If you can find a group that'll be chill about you learning the rules slowly, you should have no trouble 🤷
If you've played BG3 and have a sense of how it works, d&d shouldn't feel especially complicated to play. BG3 has more math going on because you don't have to actually deal with it, but the general shape of the game is very similar, just with more opportunities to roll real dice.

Dice are the gateway drug to playing D&D... followed by books & minis.
Haha no doubt
And DnD is a gateway to Pathfinder and Warhammer
@@DraconianBS Or Call of Cthulhu and Paranoia
Fun fact: Probabilitor is voiced by Weird Al
Omg i love that!!!!
Great Uncle Ford is voiced by the venerable J.K. Simmons who voices General Ketheric Thorm in Baldur’s Gate 3!
Oh wow!!!! Awesome!

Duck twin brother with an evil goatee.

7:23: Right!? Grenda's the best!

We're nearing the end game now.
