I saw him live and he took a good amount of time to thank his whole crew by first & last name and where they were from; lighting, sound, backup singers, manager, I mean every single person, plus he thanked the opening act several times throughout the show. Also not a single profanity spoken, dave grohl also seems like a really nice guy but he dropped the F bomb like 850 times in a show.

Anyone else get the feeling that he would give great hugs? I love this man, he's fantastic, and often makes me smile and laugh with his twitter.
I met him after his show in Glasgow back in May and got to hug him (multiple times, hehe) and I can confirm that he does give AMAZING hugs. He is very tall as you know, and his body is just...sturdy. There is no other word for it. It was like hugging a tree trunk, cept it had luscious curly locks and a wonderful smile and sings really well. I didn't want to let go and was only too happy that we got to hug more than once. I hope you get to experience an Andrew hug one day yourself!

Crazy
I go through some bands like candy, but Hozier is that fine wine that just gets better with time. I seriously can't get over this group. I don't care how long it takes, if the next album carries the carefully crafted quality of their self-titled, I will be astounded. Hozier's music is timelessly relevant and resonates so deeply. You know when you hear about "the greats" that are generations behind you? Well we're living it now, guys. I know it. This is a fucking debut album. Few have ever laid down this kind of quality on the first go around. Mark my words, this band will go down in history as prime examples of what music should be, or how it develops from here.

+Vered Juditsky Ah, my mistake. I always consider Andrew and the group he tours with as the band "Hozier," not just as Andrew himself. I think your right, though, in that the group, from what I understand, isn't a permanent one.
I couldn't have said it better myself. When I first heard this kid over a year ago, I said to myself, "This guy will be considered a legend one day." I feel so grateful to be a witness of this phenomenon from the beginning, and it sounds like I'm not the only one. Glad I'm in good company with others who can truly appreciate what amazing music really is.

Well, I was taken to church last year, and almost luckily, the priest, who was from Eden, gave me some cherry wine, to wash away my gentle sin.. I had to call Jackie and Wilson to sing the work song for me, cause I was a bit mentally sedated.... nevertheless , I met someone new at the flower shop who told me, just like real people do, that a God named HOZIER exists... so I stuck a picture of him on my bedroom wall..and from that day, my worship began......

I think my favourite thing about this song is how deceptive it is. It sounds like the happiest of Hozier's songs, but take a look at the lyrics and it's actually quite tragic.
His cover of Sam Smith's Lay Me Down was much the same. He completely overhauled the sound of the song, and in turn masked the all the loneliness and heartbreak within the lyrics. He's a very talented man.

this is honestly one of the biggest comfort songs out there. the lyrics is just like always; makes you feel and think about things, while the whole point of the beats and grooves of the music is to let you relax and take some steam off your head :(
