Freaky...I lived in Bullfrog, just under 3 hours south west of this place in 1985. & this: 0:58 looks like my mom's old chair. They could possibly be from the same furniture store in Moab. Cisco was an 1880s railroad town. The people living here up until it was abandoned were either dirt poor or BLM/park service.
ive been here before when we moved to colorado, and took so many photos here. The house had curtains and a person in the actual window though.\...pretty creepy they live there out in the middle of nowhere. The music you added made it creepier
People actually live there. They are friendly. But you must respect. The area and property. The love boating 🛶 down the river. Just be respectful. And you will have the best time of your life. ❤️ Cisco Utah 💕
Interesting fact -- it's not actually a ghost town as there are people that still live there. Many of the homes and buildings are abandoned, but not all of them.
Is there anyone out there that can tell us here, what happened to make you all leave this town, and did you all decide to leave one day at the same time? Would love to hear your story😊
Humm I live in Grand Junction CO, and have driven by the I-70 exit to Cisco and seen the No Service signs, but never got interested enough to go out and see what was there.
Is 3:12 just special effects, or something more sinister? Dan, please answer, I'm dying to know the truth. EDIT: Dan, seriously. Please tell me. EDIT 2: Dan, it’s been 2 years since I made this comment. I’m really dying to know if that was special effects or real.
Katharina Jana No joke. That place is so creepy and it’s definitely unsettling-it’s as if people might still live there....but you don’t see anybody. I went and saw one truck that was looking around. I hear there’s a caretaker lady who lives there and some of the houses now have fences around them with security. So I’m pretty sure at least one or two people live there, just not sure anyone has seen them. It’s exactly like a horror movie. There’s even a lone grave there.
A work of art from start to finish. I'm really enjoying all your videos.
Iain Lindsay Thanks so much, Iain!
I second that! Something forlorn about this place, all those abandoned vehicles and mobile homes...
From the opening shot, all I kept thinking was "The hills have eyes"....
Brilliant video. Just found your channel yesterday and I am on a ThisIsDanBell binge at the moment.
3:37 is the Shell gas station from the 1971 movie Vanishing Point where Kowalski drives into the two bulldozers.
You're an amazing editor! This is art!
What software are you editing your recordings with?
I live in Utah and there are some really fucking creepy places out here. Even in the big cities, especially Salt Lake and Ogden.
Wow...now we talking ghost town.... cool that you making this black and white, you can feel the history...
Best regards from Norway

Chomp, you mean in south-western Nebraska? McCook area? Or hwy 2 running up to Chadron, both areas time has forgotten.

This is also where they filmed the ending of the movie "Vanishing Point". In the movie it's supposed to be Cisco, CA.
That’s right
One of my favorites from Dan Bell

When did the last person leave? One of the first houses had a mini-Satellite TV dish attached to it. The kind of dish you get with Directv or Dish TV.
