Yesterday I bought the Krimh Drums, after having it for 2 weeks of testing. In almost two days of studying it I am incredibly surprised. Today I don't know anything on the market with this quality, ease and arrangement of different important points to get an incredible battery. I can't, or I have no other words but praise. I will continue testing and exploring, but I already know which plug will accompany me for many years in my sessions and compositions. 🤟😈🤟 S.B.
I love this plugin so much, thanks for making it. We are currently in the process of creating our first EP and we record the drums using a Roland TD-17 kit and initially went for a different drum plugin. Krimh however, coming with your admirable experience and all these versability makes a massive difference. I tested the current mix this morning and wow it doesn't sound at all being recorded with an e-drum kit. Absolutely mind-blowing! 🤘
As I promised to tag you guys: the first single from our upcoming EP is out now. It uses Krimh Drums (triggered by a Roland TD-17 kit via Midi), it also uses Bassknob STD and even the brand-new Ampknob BDH (5169) for distorted guitars. We self-produced this and we are really blown away by the results. But well this is not a surprise... I mean technically there is lots of Jens' wisdom now in this! Thank you guys and keep on rocking the digital producer world
Hi @1200lightyears - I also own a TD-17 kit and am a bit struggling with the proper mapping within Krimh. Do you might have a mapping export with the settings you used for your recording? That would be awesome ,-) Thanks in advance. BTW: Absolutely loving Krimh Drums (after testing the free version for some time I bought the full version yesterday)
@@Bogren.Digital For me it's purely programming but I will still need to be able to use the flexibility of recording a drummers performance in the near future so I'm always looking to keep that door intentionally open. I will probably never go back to miking real drums though. That part of my life is pretty much dead now 😅
Hello! I've been using Krimh drums for a while now, but haven't found a cymbal choke feature yet. Does the full version of the kit include cymbal chokes, such as crash chokes? If so, could you guys from Bogren Digital make a tutorial on how to use these?
Thanks for getting Krimh Drums! Take a look at the mapping page, there are notes responsible for choking the overheads. They are not choke hits (a hit, followed by a choke). Instead you trigger the crash note first, and then place the crash mute note when you want the choke to happen. This gives you a lot more control over the feel of the choke. Cheers!
9:15 The man speaks the truth. I bought this yesterday for use with Ableton Live. Last night I was thinking, boy, I don't like the ringing. But then I programmed some drums to play along with and I couldn't believe how good everything sounded. I am not a good engineer, nor am I an exceptional guitarist, but having such high-quality drum sounds is an absolute game-changer for me.
I also play metal, pop, funk, blues and even a little country. This kit, particularly the snare and kick, has huge application for multiple genres. Excellent product!!
These drums are amazing, and more importantly they cut through a mix quite easily for me at least. I love all the loops you guys included to makes it easy to just start playing or even make a song. Don’t have to spend much time mixing them either, and can all be done in the program, thank you guys so much. They sound absolutely fantastic even with no processing
Finally got around to buying this and took it for a spin just now. I really want to thank Bogren Digital and specifically, Jens, for the great tools that he's provided me with over the last year. I have 2 of the IR packs (thanks Euge Valovirta for turning me onto them!) the incredible Bass knob and now Krimh Drums. You guys are a huge contributor to the music community as a whole. I love my metal like the next guy but do all sorts of music and I don't feel these tools pidgeon hole me into just "metal" and I can push some boundaries using tools primarily created for metal for other genres! I hate just towing a line and my abstract music, good or bad, is a testament to this hahaha! You guys rock!
Thanks so much! It's very rewarding to hear we can help help inspire musicians and producers. Our tools resonate a lot with the metal community because of Jens' production legacy but they are absolutely suitable across any genre. Even Krimh Drums can be easily used in country or pop because of its natural sound. Cheers!
So glad to find out that the 3 JB-Custom samples featured are actually the ones I liked the most out of your collection! Especially the Roundhouse Kick which was my go-to Kick sound. Until today 🙂Great product, man. Just great, thanks.
An incredible drum library, I bought it and love it, I didn't know about the samples that were in the trigger function until I watched this video and you included my favorites I was already using on other mixes. This is a great CPU saving tool as well. Thank you
How does the midi mapping work for a roland E kit? can we just right click on the images of each drum and map the CC or is it a bit tricker than this? Please let me know, thanks!
What I already found amazing and fascinating got even more amazing after this video. Thanks for sharing this drum library knowledge. I will definitely have more resources to enjoy. 🥰
Bought this swapped out my GGD invasion samples on a previously recorded track. Sounds amazing. Getting ready to record more with my Roland TD-30 but haven’t seen how Krimh learns the hi hat… any tutorials on that?
Hey Jens! During your Black Friday sale i had to decide on one product to get, and it was between the Ampknob BDH bundle and the Krimh Drums. I went with the Ampknob BDH bundle as i always struggle to get a decent tone from plugins. I'm very happy with it! Finally my tone issues is a thing of the past and i can focus on the music. I also got the free version of Krimh Drums for now mainly because i suck at programming drums. So the free version is the perfect starting point for me. If i get better I'll purchase the full version. I have a very stupid question though, how do i actually drag the grooves onto my daw timeline? I can listen to the few grooves that was added on the free version, but have no idea how to make use of them. Thanks man!

Awsome sounding drums! Quick question: if I want to sidechain compress the kick drum to a bass guitar, I have to route the kick into a track in my daw and then sidechain it there, right? Is there another way to do it (directly from the kontakt library?). Thanks.
Random question... What is the file size? My current drum plugin is 17GB and I don't wanna get rid of it but also don't want to overload my laptop haha
Just bought it, amazing product! Love the anti-machinegun system so much. Look forward to your future drum products, for example try to make drum kits for different tones or genres:)
Yes you can! Place them inside of the MIDI folder in the installation directory. Just make sure they are in the General MIDI format for the mapping to work.
I signed and nothing arrived in my email, I tried with another email and I've been waiting for days and nothing arrived, neither in the spam nor in the trash.
I tried to replace Perfect Drums with a more recent drum vst and bought two different ones that turned out to be a waste of money. Took a leap of faith with Krimh Drums and FINALLY I got what I need. :) Thank you so much for these epic drums.
The samples sound pretty unprocessed which I love. We need more raw samples! Or like Mixwave does it by giving you both options, to get the best of both worlds.

Man, so close! Everything is amazing about this - and it even has 2 kicks, which seems rare these days for some reason. But, it doesn't seem you can control each kick individually other than level. Pitch, Pan, etc all seem to apply to both kicks. So disappointing 😢 (I know I could probably do multi-out, but I'd like to control it within Kontakt)
Great to hear you like it! We had to make many decisions to keep to software easy to use. Since in our productions at Fascination Street Studios we never had a situation where kick left and right would not be panned or pitched differently. Can you tell us more about your use case?
@@Bogren.Digital - I wouldn't figure it's any more complicated (for the user) to keep each kick on its own track. I just like to make little adjustments to each kick till I get a certain 'feel' when they're going fast. I'm not a fan of fast double kicks that basically sound the same (hate double pedals) - it just sounds like the same drum, just faster.
@@roxnroll8050 we hate that too. In Krimh Drums we sampled two separate kick shells. One played with left foot, one with right.
