I love how real you always are! I have been struggling with comparing my home and decor to others on UA-cam and Instagram too. The holidays are so fun but it always brings out my sad/depressed side. We all struggle and it’s been a rough year for everyone. I have to keep telling myself that it’s what makes my family and myself happy. We dont have a lot of money to spend on new decor and that’s something I’ve struggled with too along with comparing myself to what everyone else has. Hang in there mama, I’m right there with you. ♥️

Girl dont ever think less of yourself, thanks to you I have been motivated to decorate my home for all seasons and holidays b4 I wouldn't have never tempted to do this because i felt i was not good at decorating because i saw everyone else on UA-cam have picture perfect homes and you have taught me that is ok to not have a spotless home you showed me that i was not the only one and i shouldnt feel bad. Option b! And btw I love your very real moment! I love even more you strategizing out loud. As a teacher, I love when parents strategize out loud. It helps so much for littles to hear adults struggle and strategize out loud to fix their struggles (within reason obviously) also...you are so stinking cute. Just be yourself. When I started decorating my living room, I felt like I didn't like anything I had and nothing went together. But as I took a step back and just tried things, looked at it, even sometimes looking at it for a day or so and then going back to make adjustments, eventually my creativity started to flow and I ended up loving what I had! We need to extend more grace to ourselves. ❤️ I think my favorite Christmas song is, O Holy Night. I thought both centerpieces were beautiful! B could be my favorite but if it will be on the table when people are sitting there, A would probably obstruct the view less. The combined centerpiece is also very pretty! Your decor is always so lovely! ❤️ I'm here at the end girl!

I love the end results. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I moved things around as I decorated my house for Christmas. I took things from other rooms. I felt exactly like you. I literally had to stop and go in the next day with a fresh mind. In the end it all worked out and came out beautiful. I’m waiting the day after thanksgiving to decorate outside. Lord help me this should be fun. Lol

Lauren, how sweet and real you are! The Lord doesn’t want us to compare ourselves to anybody. We are all different, that is what makes these videos fun to watch. If people don’t like your style they will not come back. That’s ok they are different too. We are here to learn, and to see what different stores are carrying this year, to find fun ways to style them. To see how to take what we already have and see how to maybe use it differently. I love to see what your doing! Your style is beautiful, I so miss being a young mom. My kids are grown, but I do remember being pregnant and having other kids to tend to and trying to work around all of it. I learned an acronym HALT... when you get Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tiered. Nothing turns out right when these alert signs are happening to our bodies. We have to just stop and take care of ourselves. These are good signs to watch for in our kids too. I have lived in several different houses, no House is perfect, but I sure do like how you make the best of what the Lord has blessed you with! Your home is lovely, your style is stunning, your personality is gentle and sweet. Thank you so much for helping this old women get some fresh ideas for her old home! I think the trees on the table matches the style of the cocoa bar best. Nice choice!

I have been watching so many Christmas decor videos and have found that while I'm inspired by them, I also have a totally different style from everyone else. So I may take pieces and parts from people, but not 100%. Remember your style, remember your lifestyle and your family and do what suits you the most.
I also feel like your style is closest to mine than anyone else I've seen. I love the twinkle lights and pom pom garland! Makes me so happy!! The pops of red are perfect!

Yes, My home is little an I struggle with comparison.. I never done this until I started watching u-tube but I finally came to the conclusion hey this is my home..we are not all the same thank goodness...an we all don't have the money that others do but I thank GOD everyday for what he blessed me with... And I completely understand the temptation to compare yourself to everyone else, I do the same thing and then I tell myself we all are not living in the same house and have different styles and we may be in different places financially. And I like to see variation in videos - hate when they all turn out looking the same. Your rooms look so pulled together and beautiful. I, on the other hand, can never get all of my decor right. Sometimes just the dining room table gets decorated and nothing else! Lol!

Option A was my favorite, because you can still see across the table compared to option B it blocks the view if someone is sitting across from you. Everything came out looking cute. I also struggle with decorating at times for the same reason but if we keep trying we can always make it work. 🎄🎅

Lauren you do a wonderful job decorating. I can totally relate to how you are feeling about decorating. I have purchased many things after watching Christmas decor videos and wonder to myself how am I going to make all these things go together because I too have seen many things that I like from the videos I have watched. After watching your video I realized I have to take a deep breath and separate all my decor and decide what truly brings me joy and what will work in my house and everything else will just have to be returned. Lol. Thank you for sharing this video and your struggles. Option A with 2 candles or Option B without the candlesticks.
Thank you for being so real. You're right, many of the videos show super beautiful homes that most of us don't live in. I like the lived in, comfy look. You should see my house, a total disaster, and you would feel better! Keep the faith! Try to find a balance between decorating and taking care of yourself and your baby.
Stop beating yourself up. I place things once and leave them. You could place it a thousand different ways and to me I would think it looks all good. ❤️. Don’t become ocd and overwhelmed. I don't even know how many times I've rewatched your Christmas videos at this point but I definitely have to say of all the homemaking UA-camrs I follow your my absolute favorite! And when u sat down talking about your 'pity party' it just reminded me of why you're my favorite. You're raw and real!
