What is COVAX?

What is COVAX? COVAX stands for COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access, and countries around the world, including the United States, have come together to fund equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines.
The U.S. is the single largest donor to COVAX. To date, the U.S. has donated Php97.2 billion ($2 billion) as part of a Php194.4 billion ($4 billion) U.S. pledge to support vaccine access for the Philippines and other countries. The COVAX effort - of which the United States is the largest donor -- will supply enough vaccines for 1 in 5 Filipinos by the end of 2021. We are proud to be supplying vaccines to the Filipino people through the COVAX effort.
