I liked my with the stilh 61 pmm3 .043 chain, I have it setup to 1/4 pitch now more for pruning but it cut just as fast with the 61 pmm3 compared to stihls 1/4 pitch chain imo.
I use the picco super 3 pro stihl chain. It's full chisel .043. Fast and smooth cutting. I buy the 50 drive link loops and shorten them up to 45 drivers.
This was the first mod I did to both of my 2511's but I used Echo's optional .043 3/8 lp narrow kerf bar and chain. Noticably faster and no more chatter in the cut. I'm going to try the new .325 nano set-up once I'm through my 3/8 lp chains.
Have you looked at the Stihl PS series? I know for a FACT that they offer 3/8 Pico in full chisel in the 050, not sure about 1/4. It pissed my dealer off that I wanted it.! I’m the one that found it in HIS catalog!
That made quite a difference. What the actual kerf width? The 0.043 and 0.050 are the driver thickness/groove in the bar…I bought an 0.043 last year and the bar and chain weren’t narrow 🫣
This was narrow kerf .043, when I get the chain I’m going to actually run on this saw, I’ll do a sit down video and measure everything out, including kerf sizes.
I use stihl 0.43 micro polesaw 14 bar and chain.have for 5 years never missed a beat...ripper...ive tryed all those setups this cuts better ...i am full time arborist and do land clearing 70 percent or so depending is done with this set up on 2511t..have 2 ported 1 stock soon another..those other chains are to big...panther is like mine but cheap materials..cotton top does a video he has my same set up only 4 years later he had it ported by Richard Flagg......mine are done by aaron lynch.....and my stock saw i used first 4 years removed limiters drilled muffler added qaurter pitch sprocket and stihl 043 micro polesaw 14 bar chain ...nothing comes close ..i use it daily ..even take dock removals out with it 40ftby 40ft on the lake..cleared 5 acres another 6 acres with it..absolute best toool ive ever owned ..started my buisness with 2511t and shindiawa 488 ..in ford ranger 😢
I enjoy all these tests you do. I value your information for my messings around
Great to hear!

I’m new to the 2511, so it’s all news to me. But I am a big fan of .325, all my smaller saws wear it. Let me know how it goes,
Will do. FYI, the Echo 2511TN and PN are .325 nano versions. Oregon makes them. I'll buy the Oregon version because I like the bar look better. Lol

Pretty sure Stihl 151 runs the 0.043 so their chain would be what you’re after
so wonderful beautiful video my best friend i love it see so nice

That’s not ported yet?
@@lundberg223 🤣 right?! Too many projects.
If you ask Brisco, he might spice up your 2511. Mine runs like a scalded dog 👍
I’m going to do this one myself, based on his theories.
Take that as a win!
I purchased a used 2511 off of Facebook marketplace and now I’m looking to swap the sprocket, bar and chain.
If you work with it, go ⅜ .043. ¼” dulls too fast

@Sethhaun78 I just got this chain👍🏻
@@Sethhaun78 Thank you Seth! I’m sold! I’m going to use the same setup as you! I’ll have to do a video and send you a shoutout!
You started it- how many times in his life did you advise you’re his father? Anyway….thanks for letting me know.
Ps- good test data.
Thanks for watching to the end😄
Those little saws really work well, is this chain combo more about price than cutting speed
Just testing different stuff really
Carlton makes one also
Really? I don’t know where you guys are finding this stuff
I bought one for a dewalt battery saw about 2 years ago. Maybe they don't make it anymore but they did
8ten makes it
Traverse creek has 3/8 lp .43 full chisel
Really🤔

Yep. In a roll or specific DL counts up to 45
