Despite them having an argument. He still kept an eye on for Wu, in the shadows.Even when the monk put the Crown on Wu, I love the look of revenge on Mac face.Especially when the reunited I had to play the part a couple of times when they're free falling from the sky. That would just beautiful.

I love this part too dont get me wrong but i was feeling that i already had put all the expression and action i could think of... And i couldnt figure out what to put in there. Because in the original legend, mac' attack Tripataka disguised as Wukong except wukong doesnt know macaque even existed so he fight him to death. But in Lmk they do know each other for a very long time so i sort of mixed the two version in term of story telling. Im glad you enjoyed it, have a nice day !
i am absolutely obsessed w this animatic. i put the song on my playlist to loop it but every single time the "she fell and fell hard" line comes up i envision the flying section it's sooooo gorgeous oughgh and the shift of wukong also having to be the one to kill him is heartwrenching. and lady bone demon grabbing him for revival..... the beautiful animation of macaque's eye being killed by his beloved........ incredible. 10000/10 makes me crazy

Ok the expressions are SO WELL DONE!!! WHAT?! I loved 2:07 - 2:15, it fit well with the sudden drop and hype of the music, like how love make your heart beat faster. 2:30 - 2:40 is just chef's kiss, their aura screams cocky and playfulness like how the use to tease around eachother >.< This is very very underrated for a first like animatic and I love the artstyle, it does fit with the vibe of "legend" and mythos, but it also reminds me of Studio Ghibli's a bit

I vaguely noticed those design choices in particular and thought they looked incredible, but knowing the effort behind it and the symbolism makes it a hundred times better. Im always a sucker for some good symbolism, tbh. Anyway, I am happy that you enjoy doing it as I CERTAINLY do as well and I wish you good luck for your future projects
@@paraklasdespoite3858 oooh i could talk about disign choices all day- ( cause i find it important to my choices to have meanings ) for exemple the outfit of wukong is not his armor because in the book he take down a Tiger and make clothe with it after Tang "free" him from under the mountain. Normally i must do some characters sheet for the disign but i had already the disigns in my head. ( this have some inconvenients like macaque ears not be the same colors trough the shoots) Thanks you ! Maybe i will make an animatic with my own lmk oc next time....i dont know that could be a idea to explore !
I absolutely love these kinds of things as well, so if you have anything else youre really proud of I would love to know about it! I must admit, that with the tiger skin I already knew because I came to this show trough being a mythology nerd first, so I knew that from tjjtw. But implementing that detail is still very lovely :) I also just went back trough it again and noticed that young sun wukong actually also has long hair, which. Incredible. Youre very talented and im suprised you have so small a following as I am sure that many people would adore your artstyle and skills with composition and storytelling if you keep it up! Though I did see you didnt update in a while, so maybe you have some other things going on 😅

I have some trivia concerning the animatic if you want : for exemple i redraw several time the shot of the fall, i also made the moment of the lyrics "sweeter than a bird" match with the macaque transformation ( not quite because the lyrics is a bit before that part- ) in most other media who talk about jttw, Mac fur is white and i like to think that like he's real ears he can transform some part of his own body ( referencing to the "mask" in the song ) i also hesitated on the colors and decided to had only in one moment to renforce the impact of the scene- Exactlyy~ because young Son wukong was free from human and heaven influences at the time ! Glad you noticed it- Yup, that right i dont update really often because i dont alway do my projects to the end.....and i work also in a animation school so finding time, inspiration and motivation is difficult for me to do- But i manage to do it this time !

I love this! Shadowpeach has become one of my fav just seeing this as canon in my mind Edit: I'm getting the story here abit basically Macaque wanting to kill the monk to free Wukong from his duty so they can both be reunited and be together again. But Wukong though fights Macaque as he is loyal to the monk and has began to see him as his friend. In the end Wukong killed him feeling immense pain of killing the only person he loved and disappeared(After his fight with BDK). And Macaque's body is found by the LBD and later revived

I loved 2:07 - 2:15, it fit well with the sudden drop and hype of the music, like how love make your heart beat faster.
2:30 - 2:40 is just chef's kiss, their aura screams cocky and playfulness like how the use to tease around eachother >.<
This is very very underrated for a first like animatic and I love the artstyle, it does fit with the vibe of "legend" and mythos, but it also reminds me of Studio Ghibli's a bit

I wanted for Wukong to have hair like cloud and long hairs for macaque because he is free ( he dont have the golden crown )

I vaguely noticed those design choices in particular and thought they looked incredible, but knowing the effort behind it and the symbolism makes it a hundred times better. Im always a sucker for some good symbolism, tbh. Anyway, I am happy that you enjoy doing it as I CERTAINLY do as well and I wish you good luck for your future projects

( cause i find it important to my choices to have meanings ) for exemple the outfit of wukong is not his armor because in the book he take down a Tiger and make clothe with it after Tang "free" him from under the mountain. Normally i must do some characters sheet for the disign but i had already the disigns in my head. ( this have some inconvenients like macaque ears not be the same colors trough the shoots)

I absolutely love these kinds of things as well, so if you have anything else youre really proud of I would love to know about it! I must admit, that with the tiger skin I already knew because I came to this show trough being a mythology nerd first, so I knew that from tjjtw. But implementing that detail is still very lovely :)
I also just went back trough it again and noticed that young sun wukong actually also has long hair, which. Incredible.

I have some trivia concerning the animatic if you want : for exemple i redraw several time the shot of the fall, i also made the moment of the lyrics "sweeter than a bird" match with the macaque transformation ( not quite because the lyrics is a bit before that part- ) in most other media who talk about jttw, Mac fur is white and i like to think that like he's real ears he can transform some part of his own body ( referencing to the "mask" in the song ) i also hesitated on the colors and decided to had only in one moment to renforce the impact of the scene-

Edit: I'm getting the story here abit basically Macaque wanting to kill the monk to free Wukong from his duty so they can both be reunited and be together again. But Wukong though fights Macaque as he is loyal to the monk and has began to see him as his friend. In the end Wukong killed him feeling immense pain of killing the only person he loved and disappeared(After his fight with BDK). And Macaque's body is found by the LBD and later revived
