The tank extender is sooo good. I just put one on my bike that looks just like yours. Can’t wait to feel the the extra control from the tank ext on the track. Probably the best upgrade to the bike hands down. I do t think the pops on decel can be totally eliminated with out cutting the fuel.

@@sponsurd I'm 6'3". The Graves rear sets that I had on this bike were set in too high a position and are not adjustable. So I suffered unitl I changed them

This is usefull for circuit. Newer after 2015 / R1 and R1M are software limited to 300 km/h/189 mph. Their ecu must be reflashed in order to remove that top speed limiter. Although the speedo will not show always more than 299/189, revs will pass 13,5krpm in 6th gear, after reflashing. R1 and R1M are very fast

I was planning to buy an old stock (but brandnew) Yamaha R1 2014 but they said that the Yamaha R1 2016 up is for tall riders? It has better performance but I kinda like the raven style cowling. Somehow I go for looks, anyways it is still an R1 and I couldn't ride that on it's limits coz I'm no motogp rider. I'm caught in deciding wether to buy the new version or the old version? What do you think? Which do you prefer?
Adeysworld The steering damper is hydraulic but the compression gets managed electronically . So you want one which you can adjust manually , now i get it :D
At the point of this video.. did the bike have a PCV or ECU flash or did you just install the slip-on and link pipe? Also, did you have an aftermarket air filter?

How is the exhaust is it loud but not too loud and can u hook it up as just a slip on no mod pipe thanks if I can get a response I have a r1 need a exhaust not too loud not too low

I wanted to ask i am a shorter rider 5’6 to be exact and i wanted to get the tank shroud for my r1 do you think it will push me back too much to the point i cant reach the handlebars and make it uncomfortable to ride for shorter guys???

Why not go with a full exhaust? Is it a California emissions thing? I know the R1 comes with titanium headers stock but I would figure losing the cat would lighten it up a bit.
808 Racing In the video I said “exhaust and mid pipe”, so I have no cat on the bike now. And like this guy said, stock R1 headers are titanium and good to go from factory. The edge you get from full system riding on the street is almost non existent.

The fueling sounds very yamaha (on and off at low rpms) just like my FZ09. Beautiful bike!
