It's sort of like a vocal stop. You use the consonant as a guide of the sound you want to make and then just stop. It's difficult to hear at the beginning, but with repetition, implementation and focus you can actually distinguish it eventually by reflex
When she said, "that's all for today" I felt so relieved after spending an hour learning and writing the materials on my notebook lol 😭 that was a lot of work and learning I did.. I'm so proud of myself 🤣 Btw, 좋은 강의 정말 감사합니다❤️
I got to naturally apply some of this batchim rules by studying by my own, but I never saw such a detailed explanation like this one. It help me clear a lot of doubts. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment! 꽃밭 changes to 꼳받 when you actually pronounce it. This ㄷfinal consonant affects ㅂ, and makes ㅃ sound. So, it became 꼳빧. I hope you understand this.
Absolutely amazing there's nothing else to say coz the way you teach is just fantastic. Please make more videos. Thank you, really just THANK YOU🌹🌹🌹😊😊😊❤❤❤
You are literally too good...the way you teach seems very entertaining to me which makes me too learn more and more. All thanks to you...thank you very very much 😊I wish i could meet you one day and tell how awesome you are.
I just wanna ask when ㅆ is followed by ㅅ like (있습니다) they say it is pronounce as (읻씁니다) but I keep on hearing it as (이씁니다) same in vice versa can you explain more about this??
안녕 하세요 언니!!! Love your videos❤❤❤ Unnie, will you pls tell me the steps to learn the korean vocabulary means what should we learn first then second....etc.etc... in korean vocabulary....please tell steps...
@Tammy Korean, i think there is a mistake with your pronunciation explanation @12:33 (for "Flower Field"), because, according to your explanation @12:12, ㅊ is NOT one of the Korean Batchim that can cause a Sound Change (to produce the double consonant). So, is your explanation @12:12 wrong?? Anyway, you are still my favorite Korean teacher 💋 🧡
Ok I think I get this part 15:57 with decisiveness. So I think ㄷ, becomes a double consonant because since the double batchim ㄹㅂ makes the ㄹ sound, I think we have to imagine that there is a ㅂ in 결. I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense but am I understanding this right? But you don’t write like 겳, you just pronounce it like that.
안녕 하세요 언니!!! Love your videos❤❤❤ Unnie, will you please tell me the steps to learn Korean vocabulary means what should we learn first or second....etc.etc....in korean vocabulary...please tell me steps

Ufff finally i completed batchim .... To learn and next time i will learn double batchim ....... 😅😅 Yes i can read double batchim too but am learning those words so its taking time.... 😀
Thank you for summarizing all the pronunciation changes! This will help me so much. I recently decided to learn Korean and I really struggle with these pronunciation rules, but you summed them up nicely. 감사합니다!
In the case of Chinese characters, the flat sound 'ㄷ, ㅅ, ㅈ' that comes after the consonant 'ㄹ' is pronounced as a deep sound [ㄸ, ㅆ, ㅉ]. Therefore, 결단력 becomes 결딴녁.
감사합니다 선생님 for this class. I have a question. The last part in changes to pronunciation rules. The 받침 doesn't become ㄹ but the following consonant becomes ㄴ. Eg. 결단력 Descisiveness is pronounced as 결딴녁. 다 Becomes따? Little confused. Please help. 고맙다. ♥️♥️사랑 from ♥️♥️🇮🇳
Tammy can you please help me.., I started my learning Korean on last week daily I'm learning and practicing at the most maximum of 2 hours, whether it will help me to clear TOPIK 1 & 2 on Oct'22 or it will take more time to clear?
If you study intensively for two hours, you can pass TOPIK 1. TOPIK 2 is a little bit challenging, so I highly recommend that you check and solve the previous tests of TOPIK2.
As a beginner, this is really one of the parts I hate to understand 😅 my brain is bleeding T_T. Thank you for your brief summary of batchim rules. It is easy to understand than other videos on YT. 감사함니다 선생님 ❤
Hi! I have a question:) in the last tule how does 잃 는 become 일 른? The double batchim doesn’t end with “ㄹ” does the rule apply because the double batchim “ㄹㅎ” is pronounced as “l/ㄹ”? I hope you can understand what I mean:) and thank you for everything:)
Ok after ten years maybe i will remember…. Then one that got me was how ㅅ at the end of the bachim sounds like ㅌ oh but no if some other rule plays now it goes to the beginning of the next bachim and goes back to to ㅅ sound
After buying SO MANY books and looking at countless websites and watching many, many, MANY videos, I've FINALLY found a video that explains batchim fully in an understandable and comprehensive way. This video is brilliant!! P.s. sorry for my bad spelling, my phones autocorrect is acting up and I'm dyslexic
Tammy ssi please forgive me 🥺 I am giving up like 3 times but ur video make me courage to restart learning korean 😭 I am really a lazy person in the world 🥺
Lol this is way too difficult, I bet most of Korean people don't know about these rules either, they just pronounce these words cuz they learned them by heart
Tammy, when I finally learn Korean, I am going to buy a big Korean Flag, and put it on my wall. (and what a beautiful & artistic flag the Korean Flag is).
감사합니다 💗 but theres only one confusion that the second last rule u told that if ㅁ comes after ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ so their pronounciation will be ㄱ=ㅇ ㄷ=ㄴ ㅂ=ㅁ but in some words of example the ㅁ is before them but the pronunciation still changes and in ghamsahabnida the ㅂ is quite far after ㅁ is it still supposed to be changed or no matter the batchims are in the next syllable you still have to change it , you mentioned if its after then we have to change it pls reply me about this it will be a big help may god bless you 😭

I learned a lot today
Ma'am u told ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ,ㅅ,ㅈ + the batchim ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ = ㄲ,ㄸ,ㅃ,ㅆ,ㅉ
How does it apply on 꽃밭 ???
I didn't understand
Thank you for your comment!
꽃밭 changes to 꼳받 when you actually pronounce it.

Yeah 🤔 I also didn't get this batchim

선생님,I have a doubt
If ㅎ as a batchim come before ㄱ,ㄷ,ㅂ,ㅈ,then will they pronounce as strong consonant?
Ok I think I get this part 15:57 with decisiveness. So I think ㄷ, becomes a double consonant because since the double batchim ㄹㅂ makes the ㄹ sound, I think we have to imagine that there is a ㅂ in 결. yes. You read it as.
