I just bought some door weather stripping. I have a 1995 C4 Corvette. My weather stripping is 27 years old and looks better than what you showed on the drivers side. I used preservative on them for the past 27 years. Your video will tell me whether I will change the present old weather stripping for the new at this time. I decided again the roof weather strip change because of all the work involved. Now we will see how your project fares.
A way to get the blue tabs in at the front hinge area of the door is to use some grease on them like spark plug boot grease . Then just press them in by hand . As you showed there is no room for a soft hammer .
I do not have a video on door panel removal that I can remember. On my 90 you remove the screws from the armrest, then All the other screw's that you can see, then lift up and out, then unplug electric connectors, on the passenger side there is a screw hidden behind the window switch, other years may differ.
About to start changing my C4 weather strips. This is my first time, so I want to start from the easiest first. Which sequence would you recommend? Top first?
Weather strip for corvettes are high priced for sure. I would like to see someone make a video of "Installing a Hardtop on a convertible 1989 thru 1995" c-4.. There isn't any videos on youtube regarding the aforementioned, This would get a lot of views for sure. Note: I realize you do not have a convertible, however, perhaps you could find someone needing this done.
@@dukeman7595 I have an 89 convertible. I can tell you putting the hard top on required two men. Doing it solo will always scratch paint. What exactly were you wanting to see?
@@wileygeorge2770 I would like to see an actual step by step video of all the attachment points. Example: The front of top, all screw points, and type of screws needed. 2. The center brackets. 3. The back attachment, in other words what is needed, and how the back an front are secured. I have the brackets for the center.
Thanks for your time and energy of doing the video, it does help out our corvette community. Cheers
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Thanks for the video, I'll be doing my door weatherstripping this weekend
Hey. I am glad to have found your channel and am following along on your weatherstrip videos as I do my ‘85. I look forward to seeing them all!

@@E.T.GARAGE I have a 1991. Hope it’s easy as you say. TY
@@doctorstork_returns it should be the same for your 91, it is one of those things that sounds easy but at the same time is a pain in the ass.

I would start with the B Pilar first, just keep in mind removing the old weather stripping can get messy. Good Luck with your project.
@@E.T.GARAGE thanks. I got the 7 piece kit from CRC, so I might start with that one tomorrow.

The Tachometer just started working on it's own. 🤔
@@E.T.GARAGE that means the new alternator is probably just fine 👍
