    ABBA Our Last Summer Reaction
    reaction starts at 01:18
    1. This is so nostalgic for teenage romances. This totally makes me remember mines
    2. The Lyrics are fantacular
    3. Love the cut time during the guitar solo. It's a really slow one but it sounds great.
    4. I put this on the list of hidden gems

It's a beautiful, evocative, nostalgic, wistful song that conjures up memories of a youthful Parisian romance superbly. The arrangement and production is perfect and Frida delivers one of her best ever vocal tracks on this one. It's a glowing example of how ABBA was so much more than a 'disco' band who only excelled at creating three minute pop singles.

Actually I just realised that it is this song that "makes" the musical and both movies. It says all about the character Harry in one sentence and gives the whole background for a meeting in Paris and adds to the illusion that the music was actually written for the musical

The whole Super Trouper album is great. Listen to "The Piper" and "Happy New Year" But, I remember the first time I listened to the (in this case) cassette tape in my old Panasonic radio/cassette player and this song came on. I thought it was so beautiful and still to this day it sounds as beautiful and fresh as it did all those years ago in my early days in Boston.

Interesting. It wouldn’t be my favourite Frida-led song, but it is wonderful. I’d be hard pressed to pick a favourite of hers as she has so many great songs. For Agnetha it’s easy… she has several good songs but Winner Takes it All is perfection. Close second would be Slipping Through My Fingers or Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie

These tracks only prove that ABBA were not simply a 'singles band'. There really isn't much, if any, filler from their third album onwards. And the attention to detail. This is a sample of the isolated harmonies underneath the guitar solo that the listener is sublimely hearing.
