Whooo you go Girl. On point . I’m currently a special Ed teacher aide at a middle school. And these were the exact questions I got asked on my interview and I basically answered just how you shared with us. So funny! Loved your video. So bomb. Just received my bachelors December 2021. Looking to get certified. Going on one year as a teacher aide for 6th and now doing 7th grade.
@hopeful I'm not sure what age group you'll be working with, but I'll let you know of my experience thus far with the kiddos I work with! I work with children who are 1-5 years old. So for my specific position, as a teachers aide, I help the teacher and teachers assistant with keeping the kids focused and behaving themselves! I change diapers, enforce good social behavior, read the kids books, engage in their activities, etc. At the specific school I applied and got hired for, it's honestly very straight forward process and you learn as you go. So, overall, it's been very simple! It's tiring and working with kids can be hard, but rewarding! Just keep in mind, every school is different with what they expect from their employees, but I believe in you! You'll figure it out if you're passionate enough for the position and are willing to learn along the way. That's what I've done, and it's been a wonderful experience! Best of luck!! Remember to take a deep breath before your interview and be open to the experience.
I enjoyed your video!! I have been interviewing for a teacher assistant position, and I am struggling with answering certain questions. How do you answer when asked, what are some of your best organizational, and communication skills?
The points and tips that you shared are excellent. Thank you for this video. Please share about the disciplinary strategies that you follow in your classroom.
I have an interview this week for a ta job but I’m quite sure he called it ecpa. But I’ve never been in this field besides babysitting and my own child. I honestly wanted to become in this field because I want to get a feel of it before starting school.
@@teachingwithcaira Hi! In TX one must work with a school district and ask the school's human resource department to send a recommendation to the TEA (Texas Education Agency), for your Paraprofessional certification to be issued. Despite the fact that I have a BA degree, took a ParaPro assessment from ETS/TeachersTestPrep academia website ( alt form of a 3 subject competency test for a certification--which I passed (score 473) getting 8 point above the 465 average and 13 points above the 455 minimum) and subbed thru an educational staffing agency for 2 years--going to various schools on majority daily to weekly sporadically, b/c it wasn't with one school district at an extended amount of time at one school, you have spend an unspecified amount of time with one school and hope you've done enough to get written approval to get a certification. Also I had some ISD agencies ask why I don't want to become a regular Teacher? I replied "I'm more comfortable being the assistant," plus I originally didn't go to college to be a teacher so its not a teaching degree, just a general English major with Sociology minor degree. Any advice on that?
Can you volunteer as a music teacher's aide in Pa with a high school diploma and music lessons? Do you have to go to a post secondary institution to be a music teacher's aide in Pa?
This video was great. It was full of information that I can use. I am starting my journey to become a teachers assistant. I am working on finishing my associates degree..
WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE MANY MORE SUBS - GOLD CONTENT FOR SURE (thank you so much, watching from NZ). I'm looking into a career option, from being a ECE Assistant now to transition to a Teacher Aide/Learning Assistant.
Thank you so much. I am looking to transfer to a teacher's aide position. I currently work as a Custodian and I have gotten my cpr/aed training and I will be taking the first aid training shortly. Your video will help me prepare for my future interview. Thanks again.
Hey! New viewer here!. I’m interested in becoming a teachers assistant and preschool and kindergarten ages are what I am very interested in. What age group did you enjoy more and why? Thanks for making such helpful videos and teaching us viewers too. 😊
Hey there, thanks so much for watching and commenting. I honestly enjoy Kindergarten more because of the growth that you get to see from day 1 to the last day of school and of course their schedule because it keeps me busy. Thank you so much for your kind words. Best of luck to you.
This was a wonderful video I will refer back to this if I need to in the future when I interview for a stateside job thank you 10000000x percent for sharing!
Hello. I'm just starting out in this nice job as a preschool teacher's assistant, and you know how nice it would be if you could give us some tips for our art work with the kids and boulleting boards. many people who are just starting out in this area will be grateful to you and well, I would thank you from the bottom of my heart.😊
congrats on the job. 🥳 I would love to do that. I was a preschool teacher before. I will get that video uploaded and tag you in it. So you can see what ideas we do for our preschoolers. Thanks for the idea.
Hi a have a question I have an interview Next Tuesday as a paraprofessional I just graduated high school and I got certified as an educational aide any tips ? My whole senior year I’ve been going to an elementary to get the experience any advice for my interview.
Congratulations 🎈🎉 I would say be open and honest if you need help from a teacher as they make more than we do. I would also say that some of your duties will possibly be copying, walking them to specials, helping with folders and a bunch of other things. Last but not least never be afraid to ask questions and make yourself involved in the teams your working on or with. Good luck 🍀
Thank you for the information In my interview as ESL aide They asked me this questions and I did good And I’m going to have my orientation after 2 days Wish me luck 🍀 Do you think to do your teaching certificate? You can make better money I believe that you can do it easily
Thank you for watching. Good luck to you. I wish you the best of luck. I am in school for my bachelors so the more years your there the more money you make.
No, you don't need a certificate. You just need some experience. You find your district and apply for the position. I know some people that have applied with no experience.
Hello again C'Aira, I took the school district "Highly Qualified" asssessment for Paraprofessinals and passed. I've applied to a few positions and I am waiting to be scheduled for an interview. Currently I am employed as a custodian and don't have experience working with children even though I grew up with a brother with Autism and helped him how to read and write. Any suggestions ? Thank you.
You are definitely qualified then. Having that background experience will help you. I would say just reach out and let them know you are well interested and don’t give up 🩷
Hi, I have interview tomorrow for TA. Pls help me to do the task before interview with a group of children, (Reception or Year 3) give me some ideas what kind of activities I can do
Honestly, no. The teacher is going to share the math lessons with you. And you also might be in the classroom during math to help out. I know that elementary math is easier than the other grade levels higher. Thank you so much for watching.
Hello, no it doesn't have to be. To be a teacher's assistant you can have no experience. I would say its beneficial for pay and how many years you have been doing it. Thanks for asking.
