- Have you tried painting a plastic surface using a spray paint?? If you did Im pretty sure you've experienced endless chipping/peeling and that's frustrating right?
If you have an old oracan drawer / durabox like mine and you want to give it a permanent make-over, then I suggest you watch this tutorial I made , so you can try painting any plastic surface permanently without peeling off.
and oh by the way NO SANDING NEEDED!
What you will need:
Cornstarch or baby powder or plaster of paris
White glue
acrylic or latex paint
water

You are better off just using straight latex paint with out adding anything with water in it (like white school glue) because non absorbent surfaces like plastic repel water and water based paint and glue.Kudos on using a sponge to dab the paint on because this will prevent you from getting brush marks from using a paint brush.Also you have great music in this video.

Hi Sis actually yung latex directly pwede na po sa concrete wall,, nilalagayan lang po natin ng mixture kapag ung surface is smooth and glossy.
Ano po alternative na pwedeng gamitin bukod sa cornstarch?

Hi Sir, you can use baby powder if wala pong cornstarch, hndi po siya masyadong magiging scratch proof if wala nun.. natry ko din po kasi. Anyways Stay safe always.

@@nicanorcalayan406 I think you need to do several coats po para mas kumapit yung paint. Kasi sa plastic bottle na smooth surface kunapit naman po siya. Just apply alcohol lang po muna before application ng paint

Hello sis.. hndi nga lang masyado kakapit ung paint.. ung cornstarch/baby powder kasi magbibigay ng texture dun sa paint. Thou I guess pwde naman if hndi naman ganun ka glossy ung paglalagyan na finish

Hello, thank you for this video. On the instructions, you put Latex Paint, but the paint description says acrylic paint. Which one is it?
In the video you mention using latex paint but in the description you said latex paint or acrylic. I’m confused can we use acrylic paint or no?

Hello! Haven't tried sanding it po.. but what i can suggest to have smoother finish is to spray paint as final coat.. in that case po hndi basta mag peel off ung spray paint kasi may base na. Ako kasi mas prefer ko ung may texture.. it adds elegant look. Anyways enjoy doing your DIY 👏🥰

Hello dear, thanks for commenting.. Just an update up until now its still not chipped, no peeling at all which I am so happy about. The fact that I used it everyday since its a pantry drawer now. 🥰 Try it yourself too.. maybe just try it first on a plastic bottle.

Hi dear! Its actually adds texture and thickness on the mixture.
Couldn’t you just use mod podge as a base then paint? Or even use just chalk paint?

Yes as long as acrylic paint or latex paint will do.I suggest po na dilute nio muna ung cornstarch with water para mas maging fine siya once na ihalo nio na siya sa paint. And dont forget po ung white glue coz this will be the adhessive ingredient. happy DIY'ing. Enjoy ❤️
@@simplymommade5468 Im planning to use plaster of paris sana tsaka white paint. So pwedeng acrylic paint din pala ang ihalo dito?
I was suppose to use plaster of paris din kasi for sure mas matibay. Downside lang is once na ihalo mo na siya sa paint sobrang bilis tumigas😥 I suggest to make a small mixture muna then check for the output.. but PoP is really good overall .masyado ko lang siguro nadamihan before nung nagtimpla ako 🤣
