Since Mr. Olson commented already, I'm figuring he was in the lineup for this show!! Brilliant Poison Idea performance, the only time I got to see PI was In Boston May 1990 same lineup as this but with Aldine on guitar in stead of Eric AKA Vegetable. It's funny Slayer Hippy didn't know how to play "Lifestyles" at this concert, but he knew it when they played Boston when I saw them. This era of Poison Idea was the top of the food chain for 1980's Hardcore punk. "Kings of punk", "War all the time" and "Feel the Darkness' are musical masterworks that should be in everyones collections! Brilliant band!
@@MikeIXWilliams the May 1990 show was at the Rat. Total mind-blowing show, at one point Jerry picked Aldine up by the neck and he played a sick lead totally upside down. They closed the show with a cover of "Kick out the jams" they were amazing!!
Our band Schizoid opened up this show and we were blown away. Honored to have played alongside these champs! Thanks to David Hayes for this show and recording us the same day for the "What Are You Pointing At?" comp. Herb Tarlicks and Life Sentence also rocked after us. Wonder if there is any video of us.
They were amazing. I lived close to Portland and saw them many times with the Accused as well. Their shows were ferocious, unpredictable, and just amazing!
A full size drum kit looked like a mini kids set with Steve behind it! Wish I there, I loved seeing people being hit with their massive wall of sound for the 1st time! (as I once was at this line-ups 1986 debut matinee show at the satyricon- with my eyebrows still unable to grow all the way back!) Trust me, It was a thing that could only be felt (not heard) in person to be truly appreciated! (A sound almost as big as the food/booze list on their pre-show rider! LOL! HA ha ha!)
After reading Jerry Lang's 3 books on his history with the band and learning they were all junkies most of the time. I'm shocked how good they were at this gig.

@@bootlegcowboys I am thinking that we must’ve met at a show or two before. I used to take photos back then, oftentimes hanging with Murray, and there weren’t a lot of us with cameras and camcorders.
This is priceless. I loved their fuck it attitude in a scene plagued by militant mindsets. Individuality is what being punk advocates and not looking like a football team of hot topic models. The commercialism of punk/ hardcore via grunge ruined a truly great thing. So, it’s rather disheartening to see younger individuals giving credit to Kurdt C for finding punk rock.
Not the heaviest or the best I outweighed Kid Cocksman by 50 lbs. and he did'nt play on any substancial recordings and he can't play my solos. But he is a great Dude and player.
Gilman PC Police were already in effect. They yelled at my friend for wearing a Bad Brains shirt. Called him a homophobe! These idiots later beat up Jello Biafra for being a "rockstar". What small minded fools.
Pig looks to be in good health here, he is standing!
Truly one of the most Ferocious punk bands ever. Pure Lightning Fury.
RIP Pig and Slayer.

Las Vegas' east-side homeboyz!!!... you guys had the best tag-along roadie on the west coast!
Saw Herb Tarlick’s in Boulder that summer, must have been within a week of this show. This lineup of PI didn’t make it to CO until fall.
I would kill to have been able to see them live, one of my favorite punk bands ever

@@kensloth Same here. Saw them at Satyricon and Pine Street several times.
I saw them once. They were drinking whiskey on stage like it was ice tea.
I saw them twice in Prague. Fantastic shows!
I typed in "poison idea live" and this is the first video I clicked on.
They played Gilman?! Yowza!

They played Gilman many times.

Dutch Courage is such a better live album than Pigs Last Stand, and they were surely more loaded on the former as well...
what are the books called? id love to read them.
I'm almost done with volume 1. Great book
@sgtbucksauce9129 Black Heart Fades Blue. There's 3 volumes.
Cool to hear them play tracks off the Feel the Darkness LP, before they were released.
Love that GG Allin is playing at the beginning
And then one of the band members yells "turn that shit off" before they start. Lol
