I'd love a timing breakdown from you man, explaining when to be fully extended before pulling through, off arm timing, that sort of thing! I know what I'm supposed to do from others, but I'd love to hear your perspective. Trying to consistently break 400ft this season.
Another excellent breakdown! To answer your question about what else to see... Something I've noticed among anyone that throws over 450' is the heel rotation of the plant/brace foot. I can't seem to figure out for myself in what order I need to fire off what muscle groups to put my weight and momentum so squarely over that foot.
It sounds like an easy fix, however, I am having a difficult time shortening my last step in my footwork, in hopes of correcting a dip in my swing. I'm hoping it will also alow me to slow my footwork down more and smooth it out
Exactly the video, tutorial, and visual references I would have made, but I have 0 credibility. Thank you for putting this together, hopefully people will see it, work on it and put it in to practise. Oh, and beautiful puppy there.
This video answered a big question I had about where/ how high my elbow should be when coming through the power pocket. I felt like I needed to be higher with my elbow but maybe that's not my problem. Back to the film room
Just wondering. do you pull all the way through the throw or noodle arm the whole throw or noodle arm till the pocket and then pull. What's your thoughts?
How do you recommend "pulling" in the correct way, if you know what I mean and not collapsing the pocket? I feel like I need to extend my shoulder in order to keep the shoulder to chest angle integrity.
Been subed for a while prolly since like 150 subs 😅 AZ raised. Can throw 430ish in CO i don't need a deep dive or any discs just curious if I can send a video for the basic break down? I know it says email but I'd be curious to see what you say?
Noticed the other day at how fast your acceleration is in this video. ua-cam.com/users/shorts2E9lwDeLceE - It looks like you start the swing with your off hand / back shoulder. Where do you typically start that push / twist?
I think some huge issues that are still out there with coaching are verbage and misconception. Like "Feeling" like using the elbow vs. "literally" using the elbow, or "feeling" like pulling through vs. "literally" pulling through. Hell, "pull through" itself is even seen as controversial. Videos like this are always appreciated but man I'm 3 years in and just .. don't .. get it. Stuck at 350 forever 😢
Keep your head up, you'll get there 👍 focus on putters and throwing standstills. It'll be an epiphany and effortless. Think of how an ice skater accelerates when they rotate. Rotate around your spine, with an offset hip placement. Drew has older videos describing how to set your feet up.
@bravo_ks 100% this right here! I struggle with how my form looks vs. how it feels. I want to know what I should be FEELING to know if I'm using my body correctly.
I’m chasing that feeling to. Some of my fastest throws with my tech disc felt like nothing. I’d think “that wasn’t very fast” and then the number it spits out is much faster than I thought. Trying to replicate that consistently is the hardest part for me.
I was stuck at 350 for 4 years, I now am gaining more and more, averaging 415 right now. I have learned weight shift and nose down is helping me a lot, also pull like pulling a chainsaw. I'm 31 an better than ever. Good luck and disc on dude. Don't let that stop you
I miss my dog being next to me no matter what... he just passed yesterday.. enjoy the time
I'm sorry too hear i cherish my pups having a loyal dog is amazing 😢

Nice tip drew!! small improvements at a time is better than explaining so much people can understand what’s going on. Keep up the good work
Uploaded 17 seconds ago. UA-cam is not being kind about my current form.
Hahahaha!
This video had it all. Great tips, rad dog and killer background music.
Great info! Thank you, Drew!
Beautiful Cane Corso. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Drew!
Drew makes the best form videos out there!
This is incredible!! I've been having a lot of issues feeling like I'm losing so much with the pull, so this is super helpful.
Almost positive my mom had a 750ft backhand. Never saw her throw one but I got the backhand to the face once.
another great tip
Thanks Drew cool video
I don't even feel confident enough to send u my form but this video helped me alot after going back and watching my form
Love the video Drew, can you make a video about off arm and timing? :)
Mental cues for nose angle, and having a consistent release point,

Love this
Good info. Awesome dog.
Cool video. Thanks!
Help with left arm coil for right hand backhand

Would love a short video detailing wrist curl vs neutral wrist. Seems like all the best throwers will die on one hill or the other.
I feel like I’m a better thrower and I haven’t touched a disc yet lol
Can’t wait to get some more form work in with this in mind
Yes you need IMMEDIATE help!
Jk but same lol

How much for lessons with the dog?
Great!
i would love to hear your thoughts on the brace and pivoting on your heel.
Plessis break down how to keep floating forward
Good dog Dad Drew!
I saw Tristan Tanner do a video about it, but I'm curious about your take on how to generate more spin in a backhand.
What do you think is a good spin rate? I’ve been chasing higher spin as well. I average around 1200 with my tech disc.
A lot of pros are 1400+ it seems.
Can you talk about the front shoulder
What about grip/ grip pressure and even what to be doing with your wrist, should it be loose etc?
Floaty upshots

So when your elbow gets past your ribs does it feel like you’re pushing the disc away to maintain that straight swing path?
Heck yeah bruh
Does your stance change depending on the disc your throwing and distance. Understable to over stable. Roller to hyzer.
Nope

INFINITE POWER
What would you recommend for someone who has outward facing feet naturally (biogenetic) and difficulty getting toes inward.
Zoomies! Came for the disc golf instruction, stayed for the zoomies.

I watched his ad, also submitted a form review. Pretty cheap engagement all around.
I remember when stokely was teaching that your back foot faced away from the target.
The real problem is everyone's body is different and must find their own path to these general form necessities.

Footwork is french fries and never pizza.

@pbgamble I know it's just so deflating ya know? I've done it all, standstills, putters, rotation focus, you name it. I'll get there someday lol
