Hey man, just came across our video and see that my buddy John (rockindigger1) is a viewer too. I have an 83 Monkeyward 14 hoss 2 lunger I use to cut the grass and I just pushed home a 79 Simplicity snow blower for free. Flushed out the 5-6 year old gas, cleaned the plug and she fires up first pull now. The Montgomery ward could really benefit from a fuel pump of some kind, pain in the ass to start if she runs dry... I know this is an old video but I'll be checking out your newer stuff soon.
I used to have an old sears, not sure what it was ( i was a kid ) I believe it had the same fenders as this one and a white hood, but different grill up front. Wish I kept it, it was in beautiful shape just not running and gave it away.
I have never seen that much snow on the ground. I live in San Antonio, Texas, I'm 59 and it has snowed twice in my lifetime where the snow lasted overnight. Once in 1967, and in 1985 we actually had 13 inches. I have never seen a snowplow in Texas and I just don't know what I would do if I did. Nice old machine though. God bless
what kind of weights do you have on that? and how did you mount them? I couldn't really see it from the video. I was thinking of buying an older tractor and wanted to figure this stuff out before buying it.
Hi chris, My advice is to look for used gym weight, cast iron, 25 pounders fit nicely. You can see here ua-cam.com/video/vRcJYKZuZAo/v-deo.html and here ua-cam.com/video/SU9WQLj7Htg/v-deo.html and here ua-cam.com/video/8JfrSGhPLlw/v-deo.html these are all the same tractor plowing snow in this video nearing 400lbs. thanks for watching, thumbs up appreciated. John
I have some reflective markers, but they did not make it in the ground before it froze. Now that the snow banks are high enough i can stick them in. This is actually our 3rd plow snow storm, so it was pretty easy to see where to push to.
The old sears did a good job, pretty decent snow, thanks for sharing.
welcome
nice old rig. love the older tractors..
Yea bud, these old garden tractors just work like nothing you can buy today,,, are you a owner ??
