Being a parent of a River Song preschooler many years ago, was some of the best times I had being a parent. Besides providing children with the opportunity to enjoy their childhood and learn at the same time, it provided me with a better understanding of the emotional needs children have. It helped me be a more patient parent, to better understand how children learn and play. When someone is a Waldorf parent the school also teaches them. Parents and educators work together to help enrich our young children. We learn to embrace their curiosity, and even their moods as they are figuring out life. It is beautiful to see how the children are allowed to be children. In our hurried, and complicated world it is even more important today. The River Song is as magical today as it was 25 years ago! Experiences at the River Song School foster healthy values and help solidify a foundation that these young children can continue to embrace through their lives. This video brought tears to my eyes. It brought back such lovely memories, and makes me so very happy other parents in Fort Collins can experience this too.
