I love green inks. Since hearing the deeply unhappy news that Anderson's is closing, I don't feel weird about talking about an ink that you don't carry. My favorite ink is Birmingham Ink Emerald Fusion. Despite an incredible shine, it's been very well-behaved in any pen I load it into. Lisa and Brian, I will miss you so much. I'm not sure how I can keep in touch though because I'm not on Instagram or any other social media platform. Good luck in all your future endeavors.
Hi Lisa and Brian. Lisa, you would love the ST DuPont! I have one and it is a GREAT fountain pen! It feels great in hand, and writes perfectly! My favorite potatoes, is whatever is in front of me. I haven’t met a potato I didn’t like -it’s all good. Lately I been making mashed potatoes with roasted garlic infused half and half, fontina cheese, smashed potatoes, and potato pancakes, mainly because it’s the holidays. My favorite color ink, is blue, blue-black, Parker Peacock Blue (circa 1967-70), violet/purple and sepia. Brian, well you still do fountain pen repairs/restorations? I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Favorite color? Olive green. Or most any green. I have dozens of them, so not dying to try one. Still loving the bottles of jentle epinard and ryukyu cha I bought from you a few years ago. Oh, and mashed is the only way for Thanksgiving potatoes.
I believe my current obsession is Teal, but my favorite(s) is a toss up battle between Greens, Teals and Dark Blues. My fall back every time is always Black. As far as potatoes go there is nothing better than Scalloped Potatoes like mom used to make!! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.
Looking forward to your next chapter. Because I'm a flawed individual, I also hope there's a double serving of really messy karma for whoever caused the present plot twist. All the best.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all and your families! It's great to see you today as I'm getting ready for our own celebration. Potatoes, it's hard to beat a good potato salad. I've had many different recipes, and many of those are wonderful, hot or cold. Best of everything to you.
Baked! And, either white or sweet potatoes are terrific baked. My favorite ink color is blue but I’m getting very fond of deep pink. Happy Thanksgiving!🦃🍁🍽
I still do not understand how all this could happen. I am so shocked - don't know what to say except: I love you and wish you all the best, Thursdays will never be the same.
Thank you for your APTV shows. Because of them I bought a red Visconti Opera Gold pen from you-a great writer. My favorite inks by color are Pilot Iroshizuku Asa-gao blue and Ku-jaku teal (what a great shader), Pelikan Edelstein Sapphire, Diamine Holly green, Taccia Tsuchi golden wheat, J. Herbin Rouge Grenat burgundy, and Lamy Turquoise. I wish I could visit your store, but look forward to your next adventure.
Happy Thanksgiving My favorite ink color has been Diamine Writers blood. But, I recently purchased Private Reserve Chocolat. I never thought I would like brown ink, but holy moly what character sometimes it lays heavy and it’s almost black. Sometimes I write fast and it leaves red tones. I love it. Thanks for the greatest little shoppe ever. Good luck in the future.
Hi Lisa and Brian, Great to see you last week! My favorite ink color family would be the blues, with a dark red / maroon being the second choice. For Thanksgiving potatoes, I prefer mashed; with breakfast, I like hash browns.
My family's favorite on every food holiday is cheesy potato casserole: 32 oz pkg frozen hash browns (thaw in fridge overnight). 1/4 c chopped onion or 1/2 tsp onion powder. 8 oz pkg shredded sharp cheddar cheese. 1 can cream of chicken soup (do not use lite/healthy variety). 1 tsp garlic salt. 1 pint (2 cups) sour cream. 1/2 stick butter, melted. Another 1-1/2 sticks butter, melted. 4 cups or 10 oz lightly crushed potato chips or corn flakes. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, onion, cheese, soup, garlic salt, and sour cream. Add 1/2 stick melted butter. Grease a 9x13 pan and put the potatoes in. Lightly crush the potato chips/corn flakes. Fold the remaining butter in gently and spread evenly on top of the potatoes. Bake 30 minutes at 350. Cover with foil and bake another 30 minutes. You’re welcome!
My timing sucks on Hobo purchase for that 25% off…ps my parcel arrived in AZ so when this Canuck comes south Dec 12th my Anderson Pens parcel I can open
I suppose a deep blue is my favorite ink color if I had to pick one, but oranges, reds, greens, and browns are good. Oh, and turquoise. And black of course. And a nice purple.
My favorite color in all things, except cars, is purple (Cars have to be red). I considered Diamine Imperial Purple my favorite for years, but yesterday I started to side-eye Lamy Dark Lilac. Bonus would be Bungubox Ink of the Witch.
Thanks for another great episode! You guys always make me smile. I don't think I can pick just one favorite color ink. l like a deep magenta, like Iroshizuku Yama Budo. I also really like their yellow, Hotaru Bi.. My favorite ink for writing is the Platinum Chou Koru. I love how it flows, and how intensely black it is. Potatoes? My favorite winter dish is a Dutch dish called hutspot. You steam potatoes, carrots, onions and some garlic. Then hand mash them with butter and season. It's a nice comfort food. (My favorite potato dish is baby reds right out of the garden, steamed, with lots of butter and chives or dill.)
You guys said a few times "the store is closing down...." what do you mean by this? it sounds like your not going under, so what does this mean exactly.
I don't do Instagram. I pulled out of that years ago. I guess I will have to start again if that is the only way to follow Andersons. This makes me sad.
Did I understand that correctly? Tis youtub-channel will vanish? So i have to download as much as i can; I'm not using Instagram and so they will vanish out of my life... it feels so unrealistic that there should be a week without the Andersons. i've been watching them since 2013... many greetings and good wishes from michael in Vienna, austria

So great to see you two on this Thanksgiving Day! I make sweet potato casserole with marshmallows on top, a southern favorite! Have a blessed day!
Scalloped or mashed as a side dish to butter.
No Thanksgiving abroad. Had a really nice dinner last night. So happy to see you on APTV. Made MY Thanksgiving.

Taters mashed all the way…..thought shredded hash browns for breakfast…..and potatoes in pirogies is pretty awesome for Saskatchewan peeps
Scalloped potatoes without doubt...with nice amount of sliced back bacon, onions an gruyere cheese
Potatoes - a good mashed potato is such comfort food!
My favorite color is black, simple. I use it all the time
I'd pick turquoise or green inks. Scattered, smothered and covered for any kind of potato.
My timing sucks on Hobo purchase for that 25% off…ps my parcel arrived in AZ so when this Canuck comes south Dec 12th my Anderson Pens parcel I can open
Happy Thanksgiving. My only choice is French Fries (or plain hash browns if French Fries are not an option).
Other - fried potatoes (preferably larger cut fries such as steak fries or potato wedges).
I suppose a deep blue is my favorite ink color if I had to pick one, but oranges, reds, greens, and browns are good. Oh, and turquoise. And black of course. And a nice purple.

Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone a few weeks back but you all enjoy!
Potato Other: baked; or mashed. Going to add the Sheaffer brown ink to my next, and sadly, final order.
Scalloped with some sweet potatoes included in the mix.
I miss you already.Happy Thanksgiving!
favorite color, the ones that are between two colors, gray-green, blue- green, brown-green, brown-gray like that.
You guys said a few times "the store is closing down...." what do you mean by this? it sounds like your not going under, so what does this mean exactly.
They explained the store closing down a couple of weeks ago here: ua-cam.com/video/LeyR0Ovcybk/v-deo.html. This is beyond sad.
@@moeharri Whak, I was gonna buy some vtg pen repair what-not after christmas... But I guess I'll have to do that pretty danged soon.
Mashed, end of story!!🤣
My favorite ink color is definitely blue with brown in second place.
My favorite ink is Jaque Herbin Cornaline d Egypte from the 1798 series and my next ink will be Diamine Rosewood or Canalside
I don't do Instagram. I pulled out of that years ago. I guess I will have to start again if that is the only way to follow Andersons. This makes me sad.
My favorite color is between Blue-Black or a maroon ink. Diamine Prussian blue/Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite and then Diamine Oxblood.
You guys should start another UA-cam channel

Mashed, pleased but also figure out how to make sweet potatoes properly no lumps in mashed
