These are the best videos ever, I first thought that the videos were just about moose hide, but the videos are so much more than that, a time capsule that future generations an enjoy. God bless you and your family.
Hi Robert, I think that my Great Grandmother may have come from your Tribe. She immigrated to New York from Ontario, Canada. The then moved to Pennsylvania and married my great-grandfather. My grandfather said she was a great woman.
I will pack up and leave what I have now to come. Follow you through the woods. I am getting my license here in the northeast part of the United States. Great place called Maine. Anyways, I learned a lot from all of you
Nice to see you back out on the line. When you set your leg hold traps try putting a piece of wax paper on top of the trap before you cover it with sifted snow.
Good job Robert, you got a few nice Lynx there, I trucked up through there a few years ago, we camped at the black stone all winter :) hoping to come through that way to the Yukon this summer :) might see you around !
Extremely enjoyed the video. Would it be possible for you to show the skinning process and the stretching and fleshing your furs for market? I use to trap, hunt and fish as a young man.
amazing amount of lynx ,and wolverine,s don,t you just love cutting trails and firewood I do Wish I was there !Peace Awesome Brother show us how to survive in the deep forest ,with rabbit stew and bannock bread almost,s as good as bear stew Yum Yum !
I was not blessed like you something handed down to you from generations before you I would give anything to live the life that you’re living creates gratitude awareness in good health, and good mental health
If you would tie the fish to the tree!! They could not just walk in and pick up the fish and leave! That way they would have to work to get the bait and you would have a better chance to catch them. 😊
Ok when ya make a fishy trap . Put the snare in like usual, then set 2 foot traps, one on each side of the trail to du fishy.at about half way between the snare and du tree. Also take and drill a hole in a a frozen block of fishy then drive a rebar into the ground to put fishy on. Make it harder to get your bait. Love what your doing good stuf to know. Another thing drag a fish behind the skido.
YOU DON`T CHOP ANIMALS YOU CAUGHT AND BAITED THE AREAS AROUND WHERE YOU HAVE YOUR TRAPS AND SNARE, GUYS UP WEEITECHEN TERRITORY DO THAT, BIRDS SOMETIMES CLUE THE TRAPPING ANIMALS YOU ARE GOING FOR, NOTICE THOSE BIRDS TOO.
