Thanks Bradley! I really enjoyed the 5 day challenge. I would like to start the course while I'm currently furloughed. Is it possible to land a consulting/part-time virtual Salesforce Admin role as my first position (instead of an office full-time position) in order to return to my career when I'm called back?
Hello, I am interested in the 5 day challenge is the link still valid, it's not working?
I have the most dopest idea and because you making videos i tell you it is going to make you go buzerk
So true, I landed my first Salesforce job (in the UK) with only the Admin cert. I worked hard on networking, LinkedIn etc. I had lots of interviews before landing my first role, my real secret was to keep going, learned from my mistakes, took advice from guys like Brad who has helped thousands of people. Gaining lots of certs will waste a lot of your time and money
Cheers! Glad to hear our advice helped you out!
Would you pls help me too?
I honestly need help
YES! I can't believe you actually spoke on people lying in interviews! A challenge I had interviewing (with exp) before I had my certification was people would drill me and follow up with past managers consistently because they'd been lied too by previous candidates. Great video!
I'm just beginning in salesforce and sometimes I feel lost in the middle of that ton of info that trailhead is. But your videos really motivate me to keep going up this path. Thank you...you have a very wholesome personality.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you're getting value. I appreciate the kind words as well.
I'm exactly in the same boat I'm completely lost sometimes.
@@mikecavazos7098 the more important thing is to never jump off the boat...it gets better with time (looking back to this comment makes me realize how far I've come since then), so let's keep sailing Mike ;) .
@@rimaxify couldn't agree more gotta keep that laser focus I'm sure it'll get better the more I practice and understand
@@mikecavazos7098 it will, don't give up, slow down if necessary from time to time so you don't burn out, but be consistent, best of lucks in your journey.
I have only one Salesforce certifications but I've been doing this for 9 years. I'm now working on more only because I'm moving from admin to consultant but my career has been amazing so far even with just one
Would you pls help me?
I haven't got any job yet.
I really need help pls
Great video. Actual To Do’s start at 5:58.
So glad you are addressing this question! As a newbie to Salesforce, this has been on my mind.
I'm glad it's useful for you! I just want beginners to better understand the needs!
Hi I'm from Ethiopia,
I'm really drawn to SalesForce Admin career opportunity ever since I heard about it a few weeks ago. I've been trying to consume anything I could get my hands on until I landed on your channel. I have to say it's a relief to have someone explain this honestly after so many content being consumed.
Although as motivated as I am to begin the program my concern regarding where I am location wise has been nagging me. What are my chance of getting remote work in Admin from where I am Ethiopia?
I'm purely attempting these exams mainly for 2 reasons (1) To motivate myself to ACTUALLY learn & be confident in knowing the material and (2) Applying the information learned within a specific SF role. If obtaining a certification to land a job is the ONLY reason to pass, probably not the best intentions of doing the job to the best of your abilities.
Your points are spot on! Yes you should be building your own confidence and knowledge to be an outstanding employee and professional not just to pass and try to get a job. With this mindset you are going to have a fantastic career!
Thanks for the advice Brad, loving the content. I landed my first SF Admin role with only a little bit of experience as a Product Owner overseeing a SF app project and no certification. The company that hired me was a non-profit and I was able to show them eagerness and ability to do the job. After about 2 years in the Admin role, I only now got my Admin 201 cert!
You're a walking example of why this is true! Experience over certs!
@@SalesforceForEveryone it wasn't even to get that first job though, had to go through an agency. But for sure, experience over certs. It takes more time to study for them than doing actual work
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Just to follow up on this. I have been in a consulting role now for about 6 months and have gotten so much experience that I'm able to get certifications without much studying at all. Hence, experience is the best way to go for anyone struggling with landing a job or getting a certification
@@ShadowWarrior114 hey there, what would u say could be an accessible way to get said experience when you arent employed?
What are the typical tasks of a salesforce beginner either Admin or Dev, what will they assign to you usually?
Have a look at this video! It's really a big variety but this will give you an idea. ua-cam.com/video/11aEF-GxHkY/v-deo.html
Mg, it's true, about comfortable in doing certification prepared.
I was doing this long, but when i started working with mentor, and take tasks from him (tasks which looks like "real" tasks),
it was quite different. And quite more difficult)
Sorry for bad english :)
Yes precisely! There is so much more to learning and growing than getting another certification.
Bruh, my entire career has been based on taking on more responsibility than I was qualified for at the time. Work hard, learners mindset, take as much responsibility as someone will give you... not for money, but for the experience and to conquer fear.
Fear is a compass
Well said!
Fear is a compass . I like that 👍
I am a masters degree in engineering management right now in UK nd planning to do sales force admin certification. Can you please guide me what to do where to start...??
Agree that for the 1-st job it is not mandatory. But I think here the employers should change the way they treat the certs. In my opinion, the certs are just showing that the person has a THEORETICAL ability to understand what is going on in the Salesforce platform for each cert.
Not sure who should take this responsibility to teach employers about it (probably the Vendor at some marketing strategies), but after the majority of them understand that = then more real-world experience individuals will have the luck to find a new (first) job ;)
Just my 2 cents.
Yeah I agree with you there, there might be some information that Salesforce themselves could share when they bring on new Salesforce customers that would give them information on hiring practices for hiring Salesforce professionals for their businesses.
This is great! Thank you.
Brand new to this. willing to do the work, doing the 5 day challenge. Is it possible to get a mentor in this process? Or have a phone call with someone?
Join the Salesforce For Everyone Facebook group and you'll find folks willing to chat. My advice would be to listen to the Salesforce For Everyone podcast episode 1-8 as well. People will be more willing to chat and answer questions if you have done some ground work, a little research and know what you're looking to ask that isn't covered constantly in forums 👍
@@SalesforceForEveryone Thanks for quick reply! Do you think yes to the question at the end?
@@jmstrid yes for sure
nowadays you can't get job with just certification.
That's 100% true, in fact it never really worked even in the best times to just have a cert.
Over the past 5-7 years the formula has been: Certification + LinkedIn/Resume + Networking + Hands on Experience (even unpaid) + Interview Prep = Job Landed
If someone has development experience in other technology then dont even need to have single cert.
I have landed a first SF developer job on basis of .NET experience.
I have 7 years of experience in AS400. I have a career gap of 7 years and now learned Salesforce and managed to get the Admin certificate. Now if I try to apply for job, no one even shortlist my resume since I dont have any experience. What should I do now? Creating a fake resume and proxy interviews are all against my moral values. But honesty has no value it seems. I am even ready to work without salary. What should I do.. Please suggest.
Never fake your resume or proxy interviews, it will just make you feel like a fraud in your role if you do get one this way. I highly recommend trying the free 5 day challenge at www.talentstacker.com/salesforce It is so important to differentiate yourself, you can't just apply for jobs at hope for the best. You're going to need some experience, interview skills, branding and strategy around how you apply for jobs. You can absolutely do this, but you do have to think outside the box on how to get the attention you need from potential employers. As for as experience goes take a look at this video! ua-cam.com/video/7BgIyeLHsM4/v-deo.html
I have salesforce experience by using it with real estate companies. Will this be sufficient experience?
If you're an Admin behind the scenes in the org then yes for sure. If you're an End User meaning you only use it then that's great experience and awareness and should be on your resume but is different than administrative experience.
@@SalesforceForEveryone Def an end user. Thank you just downloaded your guides.
I don't think for certification....
I will always preference with knowledge..
I have a bachelors in cybersecurity, 10 certifications from ISC2, CompTIA and others, 4 years experience in Cybersecurity... Is there a path you would recommend for me with Salesforce?
Nice! I'd be more focused on what you want to do with your career. Admin, Business Analyst, Developer, Project Manager, Data Analyst etc... Your background will give you massive leverage so I would simply do what you feel most happy doing.
@@SalesforceForEveryone Thank you so much for the quick reply! I will look into it. Appreciate you making these videos for us and giving real honest info.
Is the 6 month to one year landing a job realistic for someone with 0 experience in this field?
I am in commercial banking and use salesforce as our CRM. I want to shift careers into Tech so I taught myself html and css this year. Thinking of switching over to salesforce admin then up to developer role. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
What is the future of #SALESFORCE ? Is any dip?
WHAT are the opportunity an growth..
Can you please clear my doubt..
Thank you
No end in sight. Uphill shot since 1999.
All companies eventually die or innovate. Salesforce is constantly in innovating. I would say in all likelihood Salesforce will be around when we're all dead.
Just look around, revenue growth through the roof. Constant acquisitions and new revenue lines. Massive opportunity for careers with 100s of thousands of new jobs every year.
What else can you do that doesn't have the same risks. Things come and go but you have to do something. Your Salesforce skills will be transferable directly into whatever is next.
@@SalesforceForEveryone Thank you for clearing my doubt..
Thanks for making these videos. I’ve been thinking about salesforce I don’t have any experience in tec I just need something different to do . I’m just a hesitant because I don’t have any experience in the tec field
You don't need any tech experience. Have a look at our program alumni who have all landed jobs, there is a playlist on the channel for these career launch stories. Few of them had any tech background at all. That's the whole point about Salesforce, there is so much demand that anyone who is ready to follow the process can achieve their goal of becoming a Salesforce professional.
If I used Salesforce a few years ago at a previous employer can I find out if I was previously certified?
Certifications have to be up kept, each year you will have to take an upkeep exam to maintain a certification. If you were working at an employer a few years ago and got certified but have not maintained it it would have expired by now anyway. A lot has changed from the last few years also though, so it's really in your best interest to get up to date on the most current functionality.
What better compliments the certifications? Mba in hr or mba in finance?
Honestly I've seen no correlation between success in a SF career and a college degree at all. Maybe an MBA in computer science.
HR could help if you want a future in HR but that's not really SF.
Finance could help if you want to specialize in Financial Services Cloud... So I suppose this would be the ideal MBA to get but my personal choice would be neither. Another Salesforce cert, PMP or Agile cert etc... Would be far more valuable and far less time commitment.
@@SalesforceForEveryone Thank You for your prompt reply. Do you hold any in person courses at the moment?
@@aashvidoshi1171 no I don't. I would recommend online courses by David Massey.
@@SalesforceForEveryone Okay thanks!
Thanks for all the great information! I was a SF admin for 2 years back in 2010 but then changed to HRIS. After being laid off I really want to get back into SF. Do you think the adx201 certification would be enough or should i still do some volunteering for example?
Volunteering isnt a bad idea, a lot has changed in the last 10 years. The interface isn't even the same plus the evolution of process builder and now flows. It's still a CRM but the admin side has gone through huge changes.
I live in Frankfurt Germany......did your program still on....I am looking for a carrier in Germany.
To be honest we haven't had a member from Germany yet. We've had members from the Vietnam, Australia, Canada, the UK and the United States and the program worked for them.
You would need to take a look at your local job market and see if they're appear to be Salesforce opportunities. They don't need to be entry level we just need to see that there are companies in your area using Salesforce and looking for assistance. I hope that makes sense!
@@SalesforceForEveryone Thanks for the reply....Yes here in Germany lot of companies using Salesforce...
Then yes, if there are job openings then I would say this program is going to work for you. Now of course be aware of your local salary ranges. Country by country the salary range is differ, in the United States, Canada and Australia we see an average of about $70,000 for entry-level salesforce roles. However in the UK we tend to see closer to about $40,000. Just be aware of that, I certainly don't want to set any false expectations.

Is a degree necessary to get into salesforce careers?
No it's not. Will you have some recruiters or companies that are still naive enough to think a college degree is important? Yes. However will most companies overlook that if you have a Salesforce certification? Yes! Please listen to episode 5 of the Salesforce For Everyone podcast 👍
I am in Australia..would your programme still work? I am looking for career in Australia
Absolutely, Australia has one of the best salesforce markets in the world. We've had multiple members and jobs in Australia, feel free to message me on LinkedIn and I can give you their names and you can contact them directly if you like.
Question- working on my Admin Cert on the side (full-time prospect researcher) there's no room for advancement in my company and I'm intensely interested in Salesforce! Do you think being about 55% through the trailhead training for Admin Certification is enough to START with a different company in an entry level Admin position and finish my certification with them?
I would say that's definitely jumping the gun, you really don't want to be applying for jobs until you are a certified as you don't want potential employers immediately discrediting you because of a lack of having shown that dedication by getting one certification.
You also want to make sure that your LinkedIn profile is on point and showcasing your value or recruiters and hiring managers may never give you a second glance. Start with the Free Salesforce 5 Day Challenge at www.talentstacker.com/salesforce
Anyone here offers internship program?
Yo, i have an idea on how to look at the market... tell me if you are interested to hear...
Everyone is saying 5 for Administrator positions because the market is saturated.v
Yeah and they're wrong :) it's not even close to saturated! Check out this post for more evidence of absolutely no saturation in the Salesforce Admin market: www.linkedin.com/posts/bradforce_salesforce-celebratesuccess-dontgiveup-activity-6772263249514688512-qMfE
@@SalesforceForEveryone personally, I want to really learn Salesforce so that I have skills that are a force multiplier for whatever organization I work with. One of my personal challenges in previous organizations was the imposter syndrome that you talk about. I'd rather have 1 cert and me a wizard for my colleagues than to have 5 and feel like I'm overwhelmed and not bringing value. I respect your perspective on this and your approach. I think that you can cert up as you move forward in your career and get stagnant. Having 5 certs and being inept doesn't seem like a good approach lol.
I rather be Jason Patrick.
I would not go into them.
It's the CEO's fault spending it.
Great content, but it'd be helpful if didn't keep talking in circles...
Thanks and sorry lol. I typically do these in one take. I've gotten better with time in staying more concise. I appreciate your support.
You have is somewhat accusatory tone in this video. Who hurt you?
Hey, I'm just really passionate about this community and when I hear misinformation being spread rapidly it's definitely something I take seriously.
You're so full of it with the ethics BS. You just want people to pay thousands for your program. From what I've read, companies really don't like being duped into thinking individuals have SF experience simply because they finished the Talent Staker program. I've read on SEVERAL forums that the program isn't all that great and that when they used it on their resume, it was frowned upon. So, don't try and discourage people's paths in order to create your own.
I'm not sure why you feel the need to try and deface me, you clearly have misinformation.
What path did I discourage? Do you mind supplying a link to any said forum. I assure you that you don't know me well and I'm absolutely ethical and truly care for this community. Not sure why you're so upset. Just listen to some stories at TalentStacker.com/wins for evidence of the contrary.
I appreciate your skepticism, we should all be skeptical but I'm not a liar and I have no interest in duping anyone. I'm fact Im happy to supply testimonials from companies who hire our members, they are contrary to your claims and these are real people who own real companies not some random person off of a forum.
