In the past, the manufacturer would have made that bottom part threaded to screw on with a rubber ring so you could replace the battery. Now, manufacturers WANT everything we buy to be disposable. I'm sick of it. If you want to help the environment, then this needs to stop (produces so much waste when you have to throw the entire device in the trash).
I fully agree!!! I was considering this product to purchase but because of this throw away mentality that Sony encourage, I shall seek an alternative. So rather than holding me to ransom when the battery dies, you can lose my investment completely. Not good enough Sony - no excuses!
Helpful thanks. I’ve replaced the battery hoping it might resolve the low level volume issue. Sadly it hasn’t, it’s still below the volume it used to be. Anyone have any bright ideas??

Can we set equalizer. Because it's only effective for listening song not for watching movie. Sound is low for dialogues.
The speaker itself does not come with its own adjustable equalizer. This would have to done by the audio source.

It’s called passive radiator and is used to enhance the bass.
