Rush Hour Trains at: Welham Green, ECML, 02/07/21

A very good but odd evening spent at Welham Green on the East Coast Mainline where we see services from Great Northern, Thameslink and LNER.
For some reason the services were all over the place coming southbound all evening and Realtimetrains was having a right nightmare trying to make heads or tails of it all which in turn completely throw me as trains were coming and going when I wasn't expecting them to do so. The issue seems to have been somewhere just south of Stevenage from what I could work out. But what that issue was I wouldn't have the faintest idea. Hence why Hull Trains and Grand Central won't be making appearances in this film.
Welham Green is a nice enough station but I don't think I would be coming back here again, there are much better stations located along that area of the line to go to.
Welham Green was opened and operated by British Rail in 1986 and has stayed in its same format ever since. The funding for the station came from Welwyn District Council, Hertfordshire County Council, Hatfield Parish and British Rail. So safe to say a few parties had their hands in this particular pie.
The only claim to fame that Welham Green has is that it was the first station in the UK to have the APTIS ticketing system in the UK, by the end of the 1980's all staffed stations in the UK had this system in place.

Hi. What equipment do you use to film? Oh and btw I choose not to wear mask on stations and public transport unless crowded cus especially with glasses, it gets really annoying. I do still keep my distance though.
