Philip Leuzinger Hi, make sure you get as many tack welds as you can and I try to get as much of the structure put together before any welding, oh and make sure you don’t have your welder insanely high👍
Try doing some research of weld sequence as well, "A well-planned welding sequence involves placing weld metal at different points of the assembly so that, as the structure shrinks in one place, it counteracts the shrinkage forces of welds already made." :)
With box section frames like in this, I would weld outside corner, hop over to the opposite outside corner then repeat for the remaining ones, next I'd do the butt welds on the side, do butt weld on one side on one corner then flip it over and do the opposite side in the exact same corner, leave your inside T fillets for last as they have a lot of leverage for distortion and the like.
On another note... You packed your planks WAY too tight leaving no room at all for expansion. Those door panels will go snap-crackle-pop when the moisture hits come spring/summer.
Your work is nice but seriously? No gloves, no hearing protection, no safety goggles? Your luck is bound to run out sooner or later. You need to get with the program and start working safer, like it or not.
Awesome work and final result !!!
Beautiful work, you got yourself a new subscriber!
Awesome video!
this is my dad who made this and it is in our house right now
Wow Good Job Jong Man.
Great job ! I'm amazed that you didn't clamp anything when welding, when I try that everything starts to twist. What's your secret ?
