I will be doing a lot of gathering with mining and herbalism early on so expect a lot of route videos!! What are your plans for gathering/farming?
Sweet!
i was thinking to rush gathering luredrop (to unlock the inscription specialization because i want to farm the cards and cloth while leveling) but the best location to farm is in ringing deeps, which is u cant unlock right away since u need to do the campaign (took me like an hour plus to complete isle campaign). so im just goin to rush to lvl80 on my other alt
@@radzytaufek604 Not a bad idea either!
How many hours of the day should I spend on my gatherer? Do you just set specific days for gathering? What is the optimal strategy?
saved a lot of point thanks to this, i will go 100% for the Nullstones stuff, imo it will be the best gold farm choice for mining and i had no idea what to do with herbalism, now i have more confidence on my choice, as always my man you a life and time saver, thanks a lot!
Bag clip!
You're the best. Glad the YT algorithm suggested your videos. No more suffering through a bunch of confusing videos.
Bag clip 😂. Are there combo of herb/ore more prevalent in some areas so that it would make sense if you like that area to spec in those 2?
Plan: lvl my main through every quest and feature as recon and pure fun, then lvl by gathering a herb/ore druid and a skin/cloth hunter to feed my crafters mats. Then the rest of the warband via events, wq etc. But things could change.
Orbinid and Aqirite both spawn way more in Azj-Kahet but otherwise no since mining only has 3 gatherable materials compared to 5 in herbalism
bag clip - good guide!
Yoy can use sky golem to gather herbs while mounted now as well.
Yea that's always been the case, Druid form is just better in terms of min-maxing
@@Zanzarful Not in DF, that's what made the herbing while mounted node so popular. Here in TWW I was about 10 points from getting that node when I realized golem works again.
Helpful video. I'll use dracthyr as in DF, with sky golem. Druid form is good yes, but its on gcd and you can't use the sky riding ability straight away. Its same as mount cast + every second i cast = more vigor :). For the trees, I will put 1 point on Mining fundamentals and Botany, maybe on the overload as well. I'll max out Plethora and Bountiful first.
Sure 1 gcd, but it's still better. but not bad plans and dracthyr are good too for gathering
Good stuff!
Thanks man ! Great tutorial, couldn't decide, so you made my choices :)
You're welcome haha :D
First time viewer - I've paused the video at the start to like and comment as you've asked - because it helps you out. I was going to subscribe after the video if I liked it enough, but really... it's not like hitting a button costs me anything. I don't have a limited number of channels I can subscribe to.
You started in faith that someone would watch; I'll have faith that it's worth watching.
Good luck to us both
Edit: bag clip
I feel like this is a train of thoughts but written down xD
nodes are shareable so you can overload and gather no matter how many people are farming
Yes, but they do have a limit as to how many can collect them before they despawn
@@Zanzarful then unless blizz kills botting it will be an issue no matter what
@@bikeomatic8005 They can never do enough against botting tbh - but gathering always slows down eventually after the hype calms down
very good guide, you explain very specific , what and why you choose the skils
Thankfully you're doing these videos. I just came back this year after a long break and i really think those videos are helping me a lot to push the max amount of gold in the early stage of the expantion.
quick question, is flying unlocked in the expansion imidiatly or is there an achievement again?
You get dragonriding (new term skyriding) right from the start! Regular steady flying is locked behind a pathfinder achievement but it's a very easy one
I think you should do the maths on Botany vs other options, and you will quickly figure out that the skill bonus it gives makes it the best wheel to max first. Just because you’re a Druid or you use Sky Golem doesn’t mean it’s useless. It’s by far the quickest way to get to rank 2 herbs which is the most profitable step at the start of the expansion. Anyway, unpopular opinion: Druids aren’t actually the best gatherer anymore. Rogues’ sap and/or blind + double vanish combos makes it a breeze to never fight, get the nodes inside caves with minimal downtime, and since you spend a lot of time never dismounting, the instant mount doesn’t add up to much. Just my two cents: run the maths, look at what skill gives you, look at what 260 finesse gives you (spoiler, it’s not much) and you might be surprised at what gives you the most bang for your buck. ;)
Botany tree also gives you refining + more null lotus, i'm not saying it's a useless tree but it's certainly not a first priority at the moment for me based on break points for quality unlock through regular skill and profession gear
Fair enough. The 55 skill points are where the real value is imho. Agree to disagree then :) Hey, I think it’s great that the knowledge trees enable different builds for different folks. Anyway, I enjoy your content. :) Thanks for the reply! Subbing…
@@Toramedes In before Blizzard makes last minutes changes and we both end up being wrong xD
Also, you are not specializing in anything just yet, so it gives you wiggle room to adapt to what it's hot in the market once it's settles. It shines on its versatility
Hello , ty for the video. I ve a question about Artisan's Acuity. How can we farm it , is there daily quests or something. that 's to buy mining/herb books in Dornogal but i vent enough Artisan's Acuity.
In gathering professions you only get it from your weekly knowledge points you collect, the weekly quest and the couple weekly knowledge point ones you can get from treasures too, that's like 2. Very limited compared to crafting professions
If you just wanted to farm null lotuses then you should probably just focus your first points in mycobloom
Absolutely
Dangit! Druid had slipped down my list to like 9th until you made me put it back to 2nd 🤪 not mad though, Druid is epic.
I have 0 druid bias at all xD, but no they are actually very good if you care for small % differences and min-maxing
@@Zanzarful Haha, I’m a grown ass man who makes my own decisions. Your advice, in general, is just so compelling 👍
Bag clip
thanks for the efforts. imo always get at least 1 overload to unlock overload abilities and i think perception is better than finnese so enchant your tools and using perception phial is a little better than finnese.
Yea I mean eventually you can unlock the spec tree, which requires no knowledge points. As for what profession stats will do well, time will tell since recipe difficulty matters a lot more than in DF + concentration opens up for a lot of different crafting cost price points. I'm excited to get into it
bagclip also, wish i'd watched this before maxing out botany on my druid :(
Now you know!! :D you could always start over on a new character
bag clipped that stuff right away
Been struggling to figure out what professions to take and this helped a lot. I don’t want to miss out on crafting as it’s fun even if I don’t make a ton of Gold with it. This video sealed the deal for me though, I’ll go herb/mining on my main and then have an alt with access to the warband bank as an alchemist. I may sell some herbs if prices are ludicrous but I can sell all my ore and farm for my alt at the same time. Is there a downside to doing it this way?
If you enjoy that way there's no downside, the game at it's core is about having fun. You can always do more to make more gold but that mindset might eventually burn you out and there's no reason for that
Backclip :), which herb would u suggest if i go to the area with aqirite ore?
Still mycobloom, the most common ore if you're going for a null stone build
Do like the seed gameplay for herbalism, reminds me of the mop farm. Hope they buff the seed drop rate
I agree it's fun, but also needs to be fairly balanced compared your regular farming adventures
They got rid of the Skyriding gathering Vigor regen node in the Pre-Patch. If 70-80 Skyriding doesn't have vigor regen skill, it'll be a pain in the ass.
Yea unless you get to that one profession node that gives you 1 vigor each time you herb or mine - but I agree it would be nicer to have it as a skyriding thing
In theory that "gathering while mounting" as a mining druid sounds nice, but does this works in The war within. The Dragonflight skill for example doesn`t work in flight form. I don't have beta maybe someone can tell IF this skill function even with druids flight form.
Beside from that the rest of the video sounds logical and well explained. 👍
The druid form has skyriding, so yes it does work :D
@@Zanzarful One last question did you tested it?
Because atm on live server DF equivalent (mining Process 35/35) doesn't work in flight form thats why I'm asking. Tested it on live servers few minutes ago.
For clarity yeah it has skyriding but i doesnt work sadly :(
@@master-g9015 DF is not updated for the system.
Yes i've tested it multiple times, skyriding in the druid form gets to do herbalism without the talent. Mining does require the sub-spec node.
I even have other videos showing it too :)
@@Zanzarful Thank you for your information. 👍
This was the first video I watched on your channel thats maybe the reason why I didn't see a flying druid with a tiny pickaxe 😃😄
But now I'll watch more vids from you to gather as much information as possible. Keep up the good work and have fun in tww 🙋♂️
Ah and btw... bag clip 😀
Sky golum ftw for gathering
Sky golem is awesome if you're not a druid indeed
Bag clip? How about a gatherer but with skinning and tailoring (scavenging)?
Usually skinning and tailoring doesn't work well together because skinning is mostly for beasts while tailoring is for humanoids to get cloth, but if you only want 1 character for gathering you can do that
Great video thanks for sharing... Bag Clip :)
Appreciate ya :D
Good guidance
The mining trait for mine while mounted doesnt work for druid form right? cause it didnt in Dragonflight
The druid form has skyriding now, and yes it works for both mining and herbalism
@@Zanzarful have you tried it?
is Null Lotus just a rare drop when gathering any herb then, like Null Stone fragments? If so: does it also come in pieces at first that you need to spec into for getting whole ones or do they drop as final items, just super rarely?
edit: can you guesstimate how big the impact of speccing into "seeds" was on your overall seed drop rate? they are BoE too, right?
It does not come in pieces like the null stone fragments which is kinda weird imo, but that's how it is.
So they drop but just super rarely.
Seeds are unfortunately not BoE in TWW and with and without the spec points I haven't been able to see that much of a difference but after hours of farming with 40/40 in the spec node it's still outrageously low - especially the overloaded versions
@@Zanzarful Thanks! :)
bag clip!
Hi, does sky golem still work? Can`t get mine to work.
Sky golem only works for herbs while skyriding, the rest you need profession knowledge points for
Is there a way to reset ur talents in a profession?
No they are permanent choices for your toon
Wow. You mean to tell me it's a new expansion and they didn't even change anything about the skill trees?
While it might not seem that different on the surface, there's a lot of complex changes to how much ranks matter for recipe difficulty. Herbalism did get some new stuff tho
my plan is to buy the herbs / ore from AH from the bots, i could never farm as well as they do. Its just more effective unfortunately.
Everyone has different strategies for how they want to play, buying mats off the auction house for crafting profession turns quicker profits too
Bag clip 🤘🏻🙋🏻♀️

Great video, useful for me as I always take mining and herbalism
appreciate ya
My plan is run herbalism and mining while I level and then drop them for tailoring and enchanting at max level. Any concerns that I’m not thinking about with this approach?
You won't get any cloth while leveling but you can always hold onto all gear drops/rewards for disenchanting later. But otherwise no, it's not a bad idea
Hey dude. Nice video. At what point can you let learn professions in TWW?
Once early access opens up!!
@@Zanzarful awesome. And is there a specific location to learn them. Want to jump in soon as
@@Talis1986 You can find the profession trainers in the new main city Dornogal in the first zone we get too once it opens up
I mean sky golem is a thing, save your points and just buy a golem
The profession stats are still good in that tree
I hope after launch you will update us witch tree is best also im thinking drakthyr instead of druid
As a druid you also get the small gathering speed increase for mining or herbalism through taurens or highmountain taurens - I don't see how dracthyr outperforms here, but if you want to play them go for it.
But yea once launch comes around a lot of videos are planned for professions
@@Zanzarful 2% perception double diping for min/herb plus sky golem and darkmoon potion vs 5 skill and instant mountfor after mining
@@rafamaster42 The amount of time you save on instant druid form is more than you think, but up to you of course
Does Sky Golem still have the same herb farming functionality with skyriding? Or is Druid the only way to gather while mounted?
Sky golems are still the same! but not instant like the druid form is
@@Zanzarful Does that really matter though? You are just on the mount farming anyways
@@aliriazi9197 Sure for herbs, not for ore though before you get the profession spec setup - but you are right it's not a big difference
If I need these writhing Samples for tailoring. Are those only coming from weeping deposits? I never did mining in dragonflight. If yes, do I need to spend points into weeping then?
Mainly from weeping deposits, but you can also get them through herbalism. Some can even be produced through thaumaturgy and transmutes in alchemy. You get them all over the place so it's not only 1 source.
But yes if you want some/more of them, you would need to spec into it
@@Zanzarful but I can mine it without speccing into it?
@@Kyroshi Yes but you will get less of it, if you learn the overall spec tree you can overall all elemental versions, but the spec trees just increase how fast the overload ability recharges but also how much you get out of each one
Not playing a druid, what do I do?
Dracthyrs are decent too, but the differences are pretty small so you can also just play whatever you want :D
Ok your talking really vague..please elaborate on these tree how many points to put where..or if you have created a spreadsheet please link it or where can we find it
It's really vague because it needs to be, nothing is for certain or finalized as of now because it's still beta - this video serves as letting people know where it's smart to put points which is what I did. Eventually things will be more set in stone tho
Bag Clip
Bag Clip =)
cant you just sky golem for herbing?
You certainly can, but that's not instant mount like the druid form is. But obviously the percentage differences are not that big, so if you don't care for min-maxing you can just play whatever you want while using a sky golem
Bagclip :3
Bag clip lol
if your not a druid you can get skygolem
Absolutely! Sky golem is fine, you would be surprised how much time instant form saves you tho, it adds up
Heyaa . Pretty solid good explanation. But one thing is a lil bit confusing for me . For herb as a druid u can farm them on fly form but ores will this mount you . I want to know if maxing out mining fundamental let you gather them on fly form as well or not.
Yes once you learn the mining fundamentals you can farm in your druid form without getting dismounted
@@Zanzarful ❤️❤️
Bag Clip.
Okay, but I'm not a druid, so botany is the best choice for me.
there is a mount for about 25k gold which can collect herbs while mounted. now with the prepatch its also got skyriding
Yea the Sky Golem can help you in this case
