One of the Hardest thing I found out is that the projects. I did 1 SQL project and will do another Excel Guided project from your UA-cam Channel. Thing is, I don't even know if the SQL project I have done is valuable to the market or no. The second biggest challenge is I am a Bachelor of Commerce Student with a major in Computing and Information Systems which is very hard to sell people as it is not directly Computer Science.

It seems you use certificates and certification interchangeably. They are two different animals. Certificates are given if you complete a class. Certification means you've tested and proven your knowledge. Usually by someone such as Cisco or Microsoft. Certification means significantly more.

@@mo-chen, unfortunately this is becoming very common. Certificates are a great resource, but as a tool.

@@rohitdey1118, it seems my previous response is gone. I don't know your path. For me, any certification from MS is good. The PL-300 is a cert that I would like to see on a resume when someone may not have a lot of real experience. It shows you at least have a very solid foundation.

I'm considering going back to school for a graduate degree. If starting completely from scratch (undergrad was in liberal arts), would you say its more important to get a degree in domain knowledge or in technical skills? I am currently learning the domain knowledge through my job, but have very few technical skills (I wonder if that answers my own question...)
